That was unpleasant. The rest of this is about the company and the training these young men did not receive. They arrived around 10 am and I showed them the small apt that needed to be packed. Packing should have only taken about 3-4 hours, except they had not received any training in working smart rather than hard. They did work very hard, but they did not know what they were doing. My impression was that they had not moved anyone before and did not know how to pack boxes, or even to put pictures and other wall accessories into boxes. Being in a power chair, I thought it best to stay out of their way, so I was very surprised when it ended up taking them until 4:30 to get the truck packed. They grabbed supper and we headed out to the new place where they unloaded and were done by 7:00. I watched them carry in paintings and other pictures, wall accessories, 2 at a time as well as other items not boxed. They worked very hard, and I give them an A for effort except for a couple of things. #1) They left a cupboard and a drawer untouched, and left items in drawers and on shelves as well as scattered around the apt. I had to pay someone else to pack up the remaining items. #2) They left the toilet full of poo, and when I returned the next day, it surely did smell. I give the company an F. My charges were high, and to top it all off, I received a call this am telling me I owed them for another half hour. I told the woman I would call back, but she wasn't in this pm so I left a message. We'll see how this plays out, but there's no way I'm paying them another dime. I don't mind paying big bucks for a job well done; but the lack of training, sending me 2 inexperienced young men without an experienced person to advise them and help them, is not the way to earn a big fee. I am VERY SORRY I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYONE IN THE FUTURE. I certainly would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN if I am unfortunate enough to have to move again. There are several other moving companies locally who I'm sure would do a much better job without overcharging for their service. BE SURE TO CHECK AROUND BEFORE YOU SIGN ON. I have not yet had the opportunity to unpack as I'm still waiting for the inspection on my home, so I don't know what I'll find when I open the boxes. While this posting has placed me in San Francisco, and while I'd love to live there, this move was from Ft Walton Beach, FL. to Navarre, FL, about a 20 minute drive up the coast.

While packing up my old apartment, they broke the living room light fixture and did not fix it or take responsibility. When we arrived at my new place, I was suddenly told I would be charged $1,000 for only eight items. This was never clearly communicated beforehand. I felt like I had no choice but to pay because they were essentially holding my belongings hostage until payment was made. It only got worse from there. When unloading, they told me one of the dressers was "too heavy" and that I would need to unload it and bring everything inside myself because they weren't going to do it. I paid a moving company to move my belongings -- not to do the labor myself. Once everything was inside, I discovered: * My dining room chair was completely broken and unusable * My couch had two holes in it * One of my dressers had a front leg completely snapped off They didn't offer to pay for any of the damage just said they would contact the workers and get back with me. They claimed the dresser was already damaged when they arrived, which is absolutely untrue. I have pictures proving it was not damaged beforehand. I contacted their supervisor as instructed and sent photos. He was no help at all and simply responded with "sorry" while insisting I had been told the pricing -- which I was not. The entire interaction felt dismissive and incredibly unprofessional. This company was late, damaged my property, overcharged me without proper communication, and refused to take accountability. I am highly disappointed and extremely frustrated with how this company is managed. I strongly recommend choosing another moving company.

My mom's beautiful furniture was damaged and thrown into the garage in a hurry. Before they even started moving, they argued with my mom about paying $180 per hour upfront. My mother eventually called me crying. Two men arrived, apparently decided the job was going to take too long, and then began slinging and throwing her belongings right in front of her. What kind of treatment and customer service is that? When my mom asked about the damaged furniture, she was simply told to call the claims department. This is heartbreaking. My mom is now left with her beautiful, new furniture damaged inside her home, with additional belongings sitting damaged in her garage, and she is left not knowing what to do next. A few reasons why I picked this one is it's right out the back gate of Hurlburt Field, it's gated, you need a code to open it, they have a waived fee rental truck you could use, and the price was a steal.
