Had easily the most unprofessional and uncomfortable visit I've ever had in my entire life tonight…read more I saw Nurse Practitioner Shauna McNiff and she is easily the worst healthcare provider I've ever personally experienced. I was there due to an upper respiratory infection which I am super prone to getting. She even said she remembered me from my last visit a few months ago. The whole tone of the visit changed when she asked me if I had the latest COVID 19 vaccine and I said "no". She then asked me why, not that it was any of her business but I told her that I wouldn't have even gotten the first one if my job didn't require it. I took a Covid test, having been exposed to someone with Covid not too long ago. She asked me how long my symptoms had been going on, I said 3 days. For me, if I don't get antibiotic in me quickly, I end up on nebulizers and in the hospital. Why? I don't know, just the way I am. Anyways, she looked in my ear and saw that it was red in addition to me coughing up green phlegm. She refused to give me an antibiotic, claiming that it was "still a virus". I tried explaining to her that my body works differently, I am super prone to these things, I know if I don't fix this now its going to get much worse. She said if you get too many antibiotics when you really need them later in life they may not work. I said I am aware of this and likely am already screwed due to how many of these things I get every year (between 6-8 per year). She still refused, and said "I don't come to work to be spoken to like this by patients". This caught me entirely off guard. Despite disagreeing with her decision, I was never rude or disrespectful to her. I said "I don't know what I said that triggered you, but"- she then interrupted me and said "you are the one who seems triggered! I explained to you why I am not giving it to you and you're not listening to me. I don't come to work to be spoken to like this by patients". I then said, I don't know what she has going on in her life but I'm not taking out my personal stuff on her and she needs to do the same. I have every right to disagree with her and ask her questions without her getting frustrated with me. I am the sick one! Will never be back here again. Utterly disgusted by the confrontational, unprofessional and honestly heartless "care" I just received. Nurse practitioner Shauna McNiff needs to find another line of work because clearly as she passive aggressively stated, she views patients as beneath her and they are never to question her, otherwise they will be treated like this. Apparently it's amateur hour over there!

I continued to have a sore Throat for several days, so I made a doctor's appointment. They sent a Strep Culture test, and finally learned on May 22nd that I did in fact have Bacterial Strep Throat, now on antibiotics 3x a day for 10 days. Very long process of being sick and I wish the culture had been sent upon my first visit, but I didn't know to request that. It's good information to have that the Rapid Strep Test is not reliable.

I immediately remembered why I swore to never come hete again. My doctor was inexperienced. I aas diagnosed with shingles. My skin wasn't examined. She looked from a few feet away and after I told her how it started, she backed away and said "That's definitely shingles!" Shingles, Doc, not leprosy. Today I called ClearChoise MD because I am in a lot of unexpected pain. They say, in order for the doctor presently on duty to prescribe anything, I'd need to come back in for him to examine me. I don't have another $160 when all my info from yesterday's exam is on file. Receptionist then tells me they don't prescribe narcotics, "so I don't know what you expect him to do for you". Unbelievable. If you cannot treat a person for what they go in for, then why would you take $160 from them knowing this. And in the type of care they offer it does say they treat any skin rash. In my opinion, treatment means helping the person get better for the illness at hand, not just sending one prescription out, not asking any questions about Pain or give advice on pain management. Clear Choise my ass. I am hoping to hear from the provider who is in today, to see how this continues.

We arrived right at opening (8am) and we were the first ones there. The facility was extremely clean and inviting. We were able to quickly check in and within minutes were called in. Nobody wants to go to a walk-in clinic, in fact, nobody has ever found joy in going to a walk in…read moreclinic, but here I am, writing a review for one on the opposite side of the country. I was in New Hampshire visiting my parents when an extreme case of vertigo decided to punch me right in the face. I'm going to spare the details of what was wrong with me and focus on my experience dealing with the Wentworth-Douglass Express Care. I came here around 9AM on a Monday and the lobby was pretty dang busy. I was able to get checked in right away and after spending around an hour in the waiting room, I was walked inside and given a private room. The nurses I spoke with were all super friendly and the same can go for the doctor who helped me. The staff seemed super knowledgeable, patient, and very willing to work with my "communication issues" making for the best possible experience (out of a bad situation). I spent a total of three hours between taking medicine, doing random tests, and trying a few different things out. Overall, the Wentworth-Douglass Express Center treated me very well, and that's something I very much appreciate. Did this place fix the problem? No, but it's something they could fix so I'm just cool with the fact that they were understanding, patient, and helpful. If you need urgent care and someone to guide you in the right direction, this place can help.

Urgent care charges around $900/visit. Not worth having your credit impacted because they don't bill for both parts of their service (sitting in the waiting room and then another bill for the doctor). $354 doctor bill was never sent to my insurance and when they finally did bill, it was past the collectible date range from my insurance. So the money hungry Wentcrooks Dollargrab Lacking care sent it to collections.
