I went in for a severe ear ache, and the Nurse told me I had impacted wax in my ear. They irrigated my ear, then looked for the tool to extract the cerulean but they did not have it in stock. Therefore, they were unsuccessful in removing all the ear wax. I returned home, but the pain continued and had actually gotten worse. I returned four days later, and I asked not to be charged for what I considered a follow-up, but they would not admit me without charging me a full and second $55 co-pay. On this visit, they had received the appropriate tool, removed the remaining earwax, and prescribed antibiotic drops for an ear-infection. Why I had to pay DOUBLE seems unfair and unreasonable. Customers have no negotiating leverage with this large corporate entity, and there is no one to speak with if there's a problem or issue. BEWARE! read more

Merrimack NH, location: good for urgent care, not good for everything else. For example: The location did not open until 8:07 am, my blood draw was scheduled online at 8:00 am. Then everyone was queued in, although I was at the top of the list, 40 min later 3 people were called in and I still was sitting and waiting on services, I cancelled my appointment and left as I was told that I will have to sit and wait until nurse is available, without any certain timeframe. read more

I went in for a painful ear, knew I had (dumbly) scratched my ear canal with my pinkie finger nail. Thought I might have an ear infection. NP told me I did not have infection, but the scratch can be extremely painful, and prescribed eardrops--Cipro, (an antibiotic) with a steroid mixed in. She said the Cipro was "to prevent an infection." I did not want that, but asked if eardrops can go systemic. She said no, so I did take the drops. Ear felt better. However, I suffered a severe calf tendon issue 2 days later, and it turns out even Cipro EAR DROPS are known to cause this. The NP had to be ignorant of this. I would have researched the drops myself, but since she told me the med would stay local to the ear, I trusted her and didn't. Big mistake to trust an NP or MD blindly, honestly...always do your own research. No one should be given this class of antibiotics when there are alternatives available. read more

Terrible experience. Went in and told them i was extremely dehydrated because of the flu and asked if I'd be able to get an IV to get fluids in since I couldn't keep anything down. The girl at the desk said that wouldn't be a problem. After waiting 2 hours, I am told they are I unable to give an IV due to staffing issues. I wouldn't have cared if they told me when I got there but instead they made me wait for no reason. ​ read more

Quite the misnomer-- neither convenient nor in possession of any sense of urgency. Inconvenient MD. Waited in line for 45 minutes just to get a "time slot" 5 hours later. Now, having returned at my allotted time, I have been waiting for half an hour to be seen. (Oh and the woman at the check in desk isn't particularly friendly). The only redeeming quality was that the NP I spoke to over video chat while I waited in my car was very nice. Update: Finally got in a full hour after my time slot. I get that with all the Covid testing they're doing they must be swamped but holy hell-- people still have other health concerns. read more

The wait was minimal and the staff was very polite. I had hurt my knee and I got in and was seen and out with x-ray in an hour and a half.

Went to the building on Sunday and the check in person was rude and not welcoming. She appeared to be sullen and rude again to other people during a follow up visit. Other than her, have never had a concern with this location. read more

I made an appointment and checked in online and still waited over an hour to see a physician. I checked in multiple times at reception only to be told I was next in line. When it was my turn to be seen, they called the wrong phone number so I continued to wait. An apology would have gone a long way but not even that was offered. My daughter had a fall at school she dislocated her shoulder she was in a lot of pain . I got the call while on my way to work . I quickly picked her up to bring her to get looked at. Since it was all un expected I did not have her insurance card . They denied her care she is fully insured and in a lot of pain . They discriminated against us because they thought we were un able to pay . Funny how discrimination is only ok to do over money . Disgusting humans . Went in with rashes on around 25% of my body and scheduled an appointment. They were a half an hour late to the appointment (after I showed up 10 minutes early) and took another hour of me waiting to come up with a diagnosis of allergic dermatitis. They prescribed me a half-ounce tube of cream for 14 days, which wasn't nearly enough to clear up my rashes. The tube lasted 3 days. When I went to my dermatologist, they were even appalled. The staff was nice and understanding, and I understand triage is a thing and my issue wasn't as serious, but an hour and a half long total wait is ridiculous. I won't be coming back. read more

Convenient MD is far from convenient to use. They have a great online registration service but it doesn't mean anything. You sign up, watch your name pop into queue, and they take people in the order they walk through the door. The system says it will send you a text to let you know when to head over..it doesn't. So even if you sign up an hour and a half before you arrive and watch your name pop to the top of the queue...be prepared to wait like you just walked through the door unannounced. read more

A heads up to anyone considering COVID testing at Convenient MD. According to a conversation I had with them this morning, they are demanding upfront payment for any asymptomstic testing and they told me I would need to seek reimbursement. I told them I am on Medicare and that I had asymptomatic testing with them through Medicare before. The person told me this is their new policy and that it would be up to me to seek reimbursement. In my opinion this is an unfair burden they are placing on seniors on Medicare. Five minutes later I scheduled a test at CVS right down the street with no problem and no need for me to seek my own reimbursement. Beware!!! read more

Why do people work here if they're gonna have an attitude and be condescending? I get its a difficult time but you need to show more empathy and be understanding. I am doing a covid test and was told to come back for a 9am appointment after I had registered a few days before and I've been waiting for over an hour (and counting.) I asked twice how much longer and the lady at the front desk acted like she didn't wanna deal with me. You can't even call because their mailbox is full. They don't even give you a timeframe of how long you're gonna be waiting. Some people don't have all the time in the world. Just very unprofessional and not "convenient" at all. There are few times in life when you really need urgent care I broke my foot skiing and didn't want the wait from the emergency room and the copay ($250 last time ) here only $25 Got 2 X-rays that were later used by the orthopedic doctor and my ConvenientMD experience lasted about 40 minutes with the cast put on . WARNING: Do not get a Covid-19 test here! I came in for a test due to a possible exposure even though I was asymptomatic and they intentionally added notes to my file that I was coming in for "general testing" because it is $150 price difference. They do not provide an itemized bill at time of treatment, so when I called back a week later after seeing my bill they said it was too late. I had to pay $150 dollars for a Covid-19 test even with insurance!!!!! Stay away! They are after profits, not helping people. read more

Had a reservation for a COVID test at 3:30. We left at 5:30 without being seen. I'm not sure they saw anyone in that two hour time frame. I could see a lot of people looking at computer screens - probably trying to figure out how to fix there horrible website. Don't bother with this place, it's a waste of time. read more

Don't waste your time. An office visit is $325 and if u go on a weekend it's an additional $40 that no one tells you about. I have a high deductible so this is out of pocket. Horrible service at the front desk as all everyone cares about was covid because no one else can be sick with something else. I had to bring my daughter in for an issue that had I known it was going to be this much I would have waited for her Primary care. I fell and cut my forehead and rushed here on a Friday night around 7:00PM. Kristin checked me in quickly, then saw an RN for assessment, finally was seen by Dr. Kris Vaughan. Everyone could not have been nicer or more professional in every aspect. They offered me the choice to have stitches done here or go to ER for a plastic surgeon. I chose to have the work done here and the result were quite good. I was treated very well, made very comfortable and had 10 stitches done. They gave me follow-up instructions and additional wound care. I returned in a week to have stitches removed. They accepted my insurance and only charged co-pay. In reading some of the negative reviews, I can only say that my experience was very different. The option of going to Portsmouth Hospital ER and waiting to be seen, along with much higher co-pay didnt seem to make sense to me. If you have a non-urgent condition, calling your own physician is probably best but for immediate needs this is certainly a solid option versus a hospital ER. Walk in service in the Kittery and York locations closes at 5:00PM so unless you need them early, they arent a choice. Highly recommended, especially Dr. Vaughan. read more

First time visit there was super fast and despite all the COVID stuff it was a "job well done"

I went in on Friday with a possible UTI. My urinalysis came back negative so they sent it out for a culture. I was prescribed antibiotics and was told to call back Sunday afternoon for results of my UA. I've called 4 times, a machine answers. I left a message 4 hours ago, no call back yet. I guess I'll keep taking my antibiotics. They are helping. Crazy if you are told to call back, no one answers and no one returns calls. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! I started the The process to have my son seen to be tested at 10:30 a.m. do all of the preliminary screenings via screen calls. Making a schedule time to come in at 1:59. They then tell me it's going to be another 2 to 3 hours. Absolute garbage management will never go there again.. Update: After the complete lack of service they still proceeded to bill me over $200. The justification on their part was that I talked to a ARNP via Facetime...This was a 5 min conversation and she acted as an overpriced appointment scheduler...an appointment that never occurred ....Just a garbage company. read more

Staff was great. Wait was longer than expected but once I got in , I was quickly treated. Go here all the time.

Went with complaint and got positive diagnosis. Got prescription. 7 days later got call saying it's the wrong medication. Got new prescription. Pharmacist points out I am allergic to what they called in. More than an hour later, and 5 phone calls, get correct prescription. Only 5 days worth, not cured. Usually prescribed for 7-14 days. Trying to call, but can only leave message during their operation hours. 3 hours and have not received call and I am still sick. Definitely worst medical care I have ever received. I just want to say how pleased I was with the care I received at Convenient MD in Newburyport on Wednesday. They were very professional as i needed to be tested for strep and covid. Fast, spacious, clean, new. Good hours. Better than other urgent cares I have been to by far.

The staff is unfriendly there is no rhym nor reason to whom they take next as a patient and the wait was not worth the savings nor the service. If I had to choose a place to get a X-ray again I would not choose here as an option even thou I saved 150$ per the insurance company My opion spend a little more and get better service. Maybe they should place a number station out like a deli maybe the service will be quicker and better or maybe an approximate wait time count down when you arrive read more

If you're a NH first responder you've no doubt heard ConvenientMD's offering Rapid Antigen Sophia2 Tests for Covid-19 to first responders. You may want to reconsider going there. I spent FOUR hours in my car waiting for a test there today before leaving. Also, they weren't willing to do the screening prior to the swabbing over the phone initially. They should be doing all of the screening over the phone unless people are there for additional reasons. They seem willing to swab outside read more
