I arrived early for my 8:20 am appointment 5/15/25. I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes and still did not see the Dr. I think they just pack the schedule and have no regard for patients time. This was at the 32nd st location. Find another optometrist for your eye care. read more

I was referred to Clear Vision Ophthalmology by my doctor, I was referred for drooping eyelids which resulted in obstructed vision. I got my appointment on 12/18/2020. After eyelid vision test I was seeing by dr. Corey Hochman -for 5 min -who stated: " you have cataract" . I got speechless because I do my eyes check annually and no one ever diagnosed cataract. I discussed with the Esmeralda type of lens.  She recommended premium lens, which is not covered by insurance , and she  calculated my out of the pocket cost for over $4500.00 ( !! ) Appointment to see dr. Hochman for tests before cataract surgery was scheduled on 01/15/2021 at 0420 PM. After an hour waiting to be seen I requested to talk to office manager. I spoke with Teresa and she worked on my future cataract surgery appointment. I discussed with Teresa pricing again ( $4500.00 for lens) and confirmed type of lens. I never saw dr. Hochman that day for any tests, and I never saw him before my scheduled surgery. My cataract surgery was scheduled for 03/30/2020 @ 0710AM. At the evening before surgery at 0757PM I got text stating : "HI-I was trying to determine if you are still planning to get surgery tomorrow?" I asked who is this, and answer was " dr. Hochman. " He said : " Payment is required prior to the day of surgery ( !!! ) He said he can only text with me,  and his concern is that he don't know what intraocular lens I am planning. I answered  : " it's actually amazing that you don't know that,  because I discussed everything twice with members of your team, Esmeralda and your manager Teresa " He said to ignore my surgery scheduled time, told me to go to their office at 0745AM, and thereafter to head to surgical center. His request was totally unacceptable ( I would have to drive through half Phoenix in opposite directions to accommodate his insane request. I asked him to let Teresa call me,  I will give her credit card number over the phone,  or to send me a link to the website where I can make a payment. He refused, stating I must go in the morning to the office to pay. I never went for cataract surgery to Clear Vision Ophthalmology with dr. Hochman. I found his conversation with me extremely unprofessional , and he was disrespecting my time, and everything I have planned in order to arrive for surgery appointment. I searched on line for another doctor. On the RealSelf site I found dr. Emilio Justo from Arizona Eye Institute. Based on his excellent feedback and years of experience I have contacted them for appointment. Dr. Justo stated : without doing any examination on you, I can already tell that you do not have cataract, but please come next week for cataract test. At my appointment with dr. Emilio Justo for cataract he did extensive tests on my eyes , using speciality equipment, and he confirmed that I have clear eyes, NO CATARACT SURGERY IS NEEDED. He did  performed my eye lid surgery which was  painless, no problems at all. Thank you dr. Justo for saving me $4500.00 and for not digging in my eyes without a need for it. I suggest that everyone who is told to get cataract surgery -- please get second opinion ! Call this company on a Friday afternoon at 3:45 after I had gotten something in my eye in the morning and went to urgent care and they told me they couldn't help me and then I need to see an ophthalmologist so I called clear vision. I figured they could help me out, especially being open till 6 PM. The lady that answered the phone told me if I can't show up a couple minutes before 4 o'clock the doctor can't see me I feel like this is somewhat of a medical urgency and I did tell them I was paying cash I highly do not recommend clear vision, especially for the consideration for the community read more

My appointment was at 2:15 and at 4:00 I am still waiting. They verified my insurance quickly and got me in the the exam room that is where they left me. No letting me know that the dr maybe running behind. Super small selection of frames better off going elsewhere. read more

If you're bringing your loved one, who is going blind and needs injections into his eyeball, you are not only NOT permitted to be in the room with him, they will not allow anyone other than patients to be in the building. If you drove across town and can't go home, they suggest you wait in your car even though it's 115 degrees outside. No compassion for patients and their loved ones. read more

I have been going to Clear Vision Ophthalmology for over 5 years...My first experience was with Dr Hochman for cataract surgery...My procedure went smoothly and my after care was excellent, too~!.. Dr. Hochman did a fantastic job with my lens replacement surgery. He takes his time and explains things. He offers options to his patients. He provided me with options that no other doctor in the last 10 years has been able to offer me with my eye problems. He is an ophthalmologist, not just an optician. read more

I made my second appointment on 8/31/20 for Dr.Patel @4:00pm. About a half an hour later I get a call from the doctors office if I could come in at 2:40pm. I said that would be fine. I checked in and sat in the waiting room and while I was waiting I saw a client in a staff member coming out of the examination room. Then another client walks in the office Said she had an appointment at 3 :00pm. Then they finally called me back to the examination room where they did not disinfect the chair that I was going to sit in. Keep in mind I was watching the examination room the door was open and nobody went in prior to cleaning examination room. After my examination was done the young lady says to follow her and that we have one more stop until Dr. Garcia sees me. I said Dr. Garcia I schedule my appointment originally for Dr. Patel. She said I'm sorry. I asked her is Dr. Patel not in today and she said no. I stated I wish they would've told me when I first scheduled the appointment. Then once the exam was done we went to another station or that they would take pictures of my eyes. Then after that she had me follow her to another little waiting room . When I got to the waiting room the 3 o'clock appointment was sitting in the same waiting room as I. The staff member takes me to room 4 and said the doctor will be in shortly she's finishing up I said OK thank you. Now I'm waiting 25 minutes in the waiting room and I hear the doctor go into the next room with a 3 o'clock appointment and sees her first. Prior to this appointment I had to make arrangements for my child so I can make this appointment and now I'm gonna have to be picking him up here real soon. So I go out front tell the young ladies I'd like to have a refund and cancel my appointment. I explain to the staff member that my appointment was originally at 4 o'clock then you guys called me to move it to 2:40. Then your doctor Garcia goes and takes the 3 o'clock appointment Instead of a 2:40 appointment . The staff member goes back to see how much more longer the Dr. Garcia was going to be. She said just a few more minutes. Wow they're trying to refund my cancellation the doctor comes up with the 3 o'clock appointment. At that point I told the staff member that I'd like to speak with Dr. Garcia she said OK she would let her know. So now they go put me back in the waiting room Were the eyeglass frames are for sale. Staff member said she'll be right out of the restroom and she'll come talk to you. Wow I'm in the waiting area I see another staff member walk back out to the front waiting room and she Musta ran into Dr. Garcia. So now they're having a full-blown conversation. Well I'm sitting waiting to speak to dr. Garcia. Then finally the staff member that originally helped me from the beginning starts to speak to Dr. Garcia in Spanish to let her know that I wanted to speak to her because she had taken the 3 o'clock appointment rather than the 240 appointment which was my appointment. And they continue to still have a conversation. Apparently Dr. Garcia wasn't concerned that I wanted to talk to her. So I walked up walked in between Dr. Garcia and the staff member went to the front desk to get my refund. Not one time did the doctor Garcia acknowledge me. Overall the experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. It's a shame because it was only my second visit and I really like Dr. Patel but Dr. Garcia and the staff didn't seem to be too concerned. And as far for sanitation that should be a primary concern . I did ask the front office who the office manager was in the city Teresa and she was at the Thomas location. She stated that she could have the doctor at the Thomas location stay late today. I told her that was not gonna work and that clear vision has inconvenience me. . She said they could get me in tomorrow or sometime this week and I explain to her that that was it going to work I have to return back to work . My overall experience was very dissatisfying. read more
