But not at Primera Vista optical, as soon as I walked through the door I was pleasantly greeted, my time was a priority to them as well as my health and vision. The staff at Primera Vista was helpful from the very start and once it was time for the exam I was introduced to the doctor where again I was pleasantly greeted. She was absolutely amazing, spent the time to really hone down my eye sight to near perfect while explaining every detail why my eye sight was the way it was. The actual HONEST level of care you expect from a doctor. After the exam I returned to the Primera Vista's lobby to try on some frames just to get an idea of what I was looking for, not expecting to purchase anything at that moment because in the past I usually ordered them online but in doing so you never really know if they fit right or look good. Not once was I attacked by Primera Vista's staff or felt pressured into buying anything but, with so many frame options I decided to ask for an outside opinion. Primera Vista's whole staff helped me with their honest input on what looked good on me and what fit well. It really helped me find a frame I was confident with and felt confident in. When I asked the price expecting some outrageous number to a pleasant surprise it was around the same price as online and I will get my glasses so much faster plus I actually know I like the frames. The experience was so incredible I just had to share it with everyone as I wish more places would treat their patients like this. Primera Vista took great care of me and If you want to have this same experience, I highly recommend Primera Vista Optical.

Initial Visit - July 2018 Initial appointment made with ease for my daughter and I. She was getting new glasses and I was getting new contacts so we completed our eye exams and placed our order. The associate who was assisting us after the exam had several difficulties with the system. Not sure if she was new or just having issues that day but we were there for over an hour trying to get our orders placed. She (associate) tried multiple times to receive help from other staff members there including from the office manager Ronnie throughout the entire process but was not assisted until the very end. Why? Just a guess but witnessed multiple people stop in just to VISIT with staff, along with seeing the staff chatting and laughing amount themselves. I paid via insurance and covered the remainder in full, after that I left frustrated but I let it go and thought I'd hope for the best. Staff advised they would call when the orders came in. Three weeks after initial visit - July 2018 Daughter glasses came in three weeks after the eye exam appointment. Just over a week after the vision center's estimated arrival. Did they call me? Nope. I called...twice. The first after 10 days, confirmed the order was not in yet. The second time I called at the 3 week mark at which time staff confirmed the glasses were awaiting pick up. Upon picking up the glasses and having them fitted, I also ask the associate helping us if my contacts had came in yet. Associate confirmed no, they would call when they arrived. August 2018 1st week of August I call to follow up on my contacts as I still have not heard back yet, mind you...1 month now of waiting. Associate confirmed no, they would call when they arrived. September 2018 Still nothing. I decide it would be best to go in to ask this time around. Was greeted by an associate who first asked if I called to confirm they were in. I let her know this was an order placed 2 months prior and I had not received a phone call. She checks and asks me to have a seat. Eventually she comes around to let me know her manager is looking for them and says 'sorry' and leaves her other patients info right on the desk I'm waiting at. I am left sitting for nearly 15 minutes when eventually the office manager Ronnie comes by. She sits down and non nonchalantly states the will be reaching out to follow up to see where the order is at because it has not arrived. Ronnie displays zero lack of empathy of the situation, zero customer service, and makes the comment "usually our customers contact us then we follow up". Each time with more rudeness. Till the third occurrence to which I remind her of all the follow ups I have completed on my part. I will be following up with Corporate on the matter. The lack of professionalism, lack of customer service, unethical behavior on top of the noted HIPAA violation is absolutely horrendous. Take your business and go elsewhere!

Every time I asked what was going on, I was told "5 more minutes"--over and over again. Those 5 minutes turned into nearly an hour. What made it worse was the lack of basic courtesy and communication. No one came to update me, no one acknowledged the delay, and no effort was made to respect my time. If you're running behind, the least you can do is be honest and apologize. Patients plan their day around appointments, and this kind of service is unacceptable for a medical office. It took me three days to get through just to pre-pay a bill Because they wouldn't do some surgery without being prepaid. After two days of waiting on hold several times I left my phone number. I never got a call back on the third day. I called and waited it out after close to an hour. Someone answered and then they acted very confused about what to do. It's just not an easy process and whoever is managing the office is doing a really poor job. The day before scheduled cataract surgery I get a text saying they need to change the time and move it up earlier. I already had another doctor appointment scheduled for that time and cannot cancel that one so I had to cancel the entire cataract surgery because they can't seem to nail down their own schedules properly. Well, I do appreciate the care that I get when I do see a doctor there specifically Dr. Peterson and Dr. Lewis, I'm not sure I will continue to go there because it's just not worth the hassle trying to schedule appointments and pay bills, etc. Just gotta be places that have an easier process. It doesn't appear that Southwestern Eye Center is interested in trying to make themselves better, most centers listen to the feedback and adjust their business processes to make improvements. When the receptionist you answer the phone, they get very argumentative quickly and try to tell me that I'm doing it wrong. I just tell him that I'm following the directions for their text for their number that they gave me. So I'm not sure what the breakdown is, but I hope they fix it someday.

The online bill pay has been off-line for over five months so makes it hard to make a payment, after mailing a payment I got a past due notice, so I messaged them to see if they had processed it, it has been over a week and no response from them, they do not answer their phones after 4 PM. The pay by phone option is also a no-go, like the online bill-pay.

Literally refused a caregiver (me) who is immunocompromised in the most affected area by this covid shit (my lungs) a letter so I can stay safe from covid. I've been fighting them for a week and they dont seem to understand they government already set the dates. All I need is the letter that says "yes she has chronic lung issues" signed (the doctor). They are hung up on dates like it's their first one #jesuschrist #doyouspeakenglish #doyouunderstandyouarebreakingthelaw?
