I am mystified at the reviews for Platinum Hearing. I bought the Oticon hearing aids and the Audiologists could not calibrate them. There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs. read more

What a difference it's made in my hearing! I was skeptical Of rechargeable aids as I've always used batteries. The rechargeable aids are amazing and they last all day and night. I've yet to be left without them working ..plus not having to buy batteries is a savings. I want to update this review. I've given it 5 stars as the service that was provided was outstanding. After the initial visit and the issues I had, Dr. Clark reached out to me personally and offered me an appointment with her to review my situation. I accepted her offer. During the appointment, we reviewed my case and she was able to offer suggestions that were more reasonable both in scope and price. I had also gotten second opinions from other providers during this time. But after comparing the different providers, it was obvious that Dr. Clark's office was the best fit for me. I really appreciated Dr. Clark's personal touch. I will be getting hearing aids in the near future and Platinum Hearing will be my provider. read more

I am a patient of Dr Clark who is the best audiologist I have ever had. Do not hesitate to go to her especially if you have had a not great experience with hearing aides. She is terrific. I just wanted to comment on Fezzikmom's review because I think it did not take into account a very important issue. Dr. Clark is working with the hearing impaired. I am 68 and have to ask her to take her mask off because otherwise I can't understand anything she is saying during the parts of the visit when my aids need to be on the computer, therefor not working in my ear. She has always been very careful about distancing to compensate for the need to make a reasonable accommodation for my handicap just as ADA requires in a workplace. I also find it condescending to your mother to say "she doesn't always make rational decisions". I've seen people out walking with no one anywhere near them wearing a mask and they might think I am not rational for not wearing one when walking alone. That doesn't make it true. I'm also not sure why you would say that about your mother in a public forum? I am not related to Dr. Clark, my knowing her is strictly as a patient who is very happy with her work. read more

Dr. Kristen Clark is the best! So kind and patient and makes just the right adjustments to the hearing aids. My husband now can enjoy conversation at parties and even conversation in noisy restaurants. His previous hearing aid from another company was just about useless. I moved to Scottsdale from Sacramento with one hearing aid. Over time my hearing had deteriorated and I was in need of a new test and advice. Dr. Clark was perfect. After doing a test she listened to my concerns. There had been a sudden loss of hearing in one ear so she referred me to an Otolaryngologist to rule out any medical issues that might have caused the symptom. Once cleared she used her Audiology test to guide me to a new set of aids. I tried them and she listened to my subjective evaluation asking pertinent questions. From there she offered a different set of aids. She persisted at no extra cost to make sure I had the exact right aids with the exact right tuning. She continues to monitor my hearing regularly, occasionally making adjustments. She listens and responds. The first Audiologist I went to had a specific theory on hearing. His theory said the device should move the frequencies you can't hear to ones you can. I tried it, for me it was not good. It just muddied the sounds I could hear. He said I had not given my brain time to adjust, I gave it more time, no help. Still they tried to push me into the aids. I finally went back to my single aid and left them. A great audiologist is easily as important as a technically great device. Dr. Clark is a great audiologist. read more

Late yesterday morning, 5/26/2020, I visited Platinum Hearing in an attempt to get a missing piece of one of my Oticon hearing aids replaced. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful & informative. Later, a very nice woman, Ashley D. Haxby, HIS ("Hearing Instrument Specialist"), came out to help me. After a quick visual inspection of the needy hearing aid, she explained EXACTLY what I needed to do and how she could help. Even though I didn't have enough time remaining in AZ to effect this repair with Platinum Hearing, Ms. Haxby provided me with the methodology to get it done at some future date & locale when I have more time. If I lived in the Phoenix area permanently, I would ONLY get my hearing aids from the wonderful people @ Platinum Hearing! Trust me. They're very professional & seem to genuinely want to help you.
