First off, this is an updated review. It contains parts of my initial review as well as new parts…read more And describes two visits, one in the spring, and one in the fall. As for my initial review, it was extremely negative, but Tim made the issues right, and turned myself and my wife into loyal customers. The 5 stars is for the fall work. I gave him far few starts in the spring, but since he's taken care of the issues, I'm not holding any earlier star rating against him. For the good, Tim is very responsive via phone and texts, answering all of the questions my wife and I had. He did an on-site estimate, and left us feeling comfortable overall that he would do the work well. Based on this we hired him to clean our roof, gutters, and a couple of skylights during the spring and do the roof, gutters, and a moss treatment in the fall. He showed up on time, on the day he said he'd be there, both times and went straight to work. One bit of warning, he uses a blower to clean everything, blowing everything out of the gutters and off the roof. According to him, this is the safer way of doing things. I accept this, but I point it out as since he goes straight to work you may want to make sure things are covered if you have anything that doesn't clean up quickly and easily in your yard. Read on to learn about our spring issues, for the fall we covered our water fountain, and everything else had already been put away for the winter. In our original case during the spring, we had yard furniture with covers on that I had just spent a day cleaning. My wife went a bit crazy as they got covered with mud and debris from the gutters. To Tim's credit, he did clean them and returned them to state that looked clean instead of mud covered. But the situation could have been avoided with a little bit of communication. The other item of concern was the river rock around our yard. My wife takes great pride in having a highly manicured lawn and yard. For the spring cleaning, she had just finished her yearly cleanup which includes taking all the river rock, removing the debris between it, and placing it back in its spot. Obviously with blowing the stuff out of the gutters on to the yard, even though he cleans up the yard, the river rock was left a mess. In the fall, we obviously knew better, and in all honesty I'd say the river rock was cleaner after Tim left then before he came as he used the blower to clean it all out. The original issue was as much poor timing and us not know what to expect as anything else. But a word to the wise, if you're going to get your gutters cleaned in the spring, do so before you do your spring cleaning, not the day after you finish. We learned this lesson. The first time Tim was out, after he left there was still an amount of small debris that was on several areas of our roof. Not large clumps mind you, but small needles quite well dispersed. And not on every section of roof, but at least 2 of them. This Fall Tim took care of everything and the roof looks great. I expect the spring issue was a result of the shear amount of debris that was on the roof to begin with combined with wind blowing stuff around. Our roof looks great now however. Another issue we had in the spring was a misunderstanding about the skylight on the Master Bedroom, which we had paid Tim to clean. After he left it looked like there was bird poop still on the window. It turned out to be pine sap, which is obviously harder to clean, and to avoid scratching the window Tim did not use a razor blade. The issue arose as Tim didn't explain to my wife at the time about what the substance was, and why he left it there. After having a conversation with him, I understand and consider the issue to be resolved. So to summarize. Tim is very responsive ahead of time, he gets the work done quickly and efficiently, and he cleans up after himself. If you're looking for someone to clean all your gutters by hand, Tim is not the right choice. But if you're looking for someone to do a quick, safe, and thorough job without costing an arm and a leg, he'll get the job done. We've learned in this process, and Tim probably has as well. He stands by his work and does his best to make you happy. If there's something you're not happy with, point it out while he's there and he'll do his best to make it right.
