My significant other was there and all i was told were complaints. she had told the male that was doing her pedicure to give her white french tip. she got her whole nail painted which is not french. she asked for her nails to be cut NOT TOO short. they were cut too short for her liking and some nails are not cut even. she goes to pay and the price was already $37 which for a spa pedicure is reasonable, but when going to check out, there's a tip option. i feel that it is unfair and SNEAKY to take the card reader and give yourself a tip... without even notifying the person paying that amount. after she gets the receipt she sees that her card was charged for $62. there's no reasonable explanation for an extra $25 charged. if i can put 0 stars i would. that is unacceptable in every form and its theft. i've never been there personally but seeing how it made my significant other feel is unacceptable. read more

Sadly, every other nail place locally is closed on Sundays so We were forced to come here again. Unfortunately had the same nail tech I had when I left my previous 1-star review, if I could give her and this place negative stars, I would. As soon as she sat me down in the pedicure chair, my nail tech lets out a huge burp! No mouth covered just right at me belches. My mom and I just stared at each other in amazement. As an esthetician who is very attentive to sanitation protocols, this place is disgusting. Nothing is clean, nothing is sanitary. They will pluck your cuticles, rinse the tool in the tub while your feet are still soaking, dry it on the paper towel they put your feet on, and chuck it back in the bin. The towels were ice cold, the stones were ice cold, and her massage was pitiful - rushed and unenjoyable. She yawned, wiped her face, and coughed all over my legs the entire time. Mediocre job and takes very long. I used to love here but they were forceful with massage and getting more expensive pedicures. All I want is a simple pedicure. One time my dad went and they made him do a $70 pedicure because he had Calais, meanwhile he didn't even need that. I made an appointment and still waited, so what's the point of making an appointment! I went to get my lashes done and it costed $40 and within a week it came off! Had the herbal spa pedicure, end result was just so so. Went in for a regular pedicure but the woman was sooooo pushy about choosing an upgraded pedicure, it was really awkward so I just took the first level upgrade which was the herbal spa. Then when I was leaving I put a generous tip on my debit card receipt and she got upset and kept telling me "cash tip cash tip" I told her I had no cash and I apologized and she got upset and stormed away with my receipt and never said anything else. It seems everytime I get comfortable with a nail salon, it happens to close within a few months. What the hell?? So I decided to try this place out since I hadn't been here since it was under a different name back from High School. I went in and I had to wait about ten minutes which is no biggy-- caught up on some more X-Files. I did notice though that it seems only two techs maybe are familiar with doing arylics/gels bc others were sitting around talking. I finally get up for my turn and i swear... in every salon there is always a head hancho woman or man and this time it was a chick...and they always have the biggest [fake] boobs....Interesting. So as she starts a girl comes over to give me a neck and shoulder massage. After 5 mins she asks if I want another 15 min one and I give in bc damn it felt good. So okay, tack another $15 onto my bill for the end of my stay here. I did notice like another person commented, is how they try and push everything onto you. Ok i gave into the 15 min extra massage, then she wanted to know if I wanted 10 more mins (another $10)-- No thanks. Or do I want the 30 min special for only $28? -- Umm thats only saving me two dollars so NO again. Or do I want a pedicure too... NOOOO. Or how about a design on my nails? HOW ABOUT NO, I'm not 16 and I just want my friggin nails done without being soliciated for a shit-ton of other junk. For real for real tho...its like Gossip GIrl, Asian Edition up in here. Could you maybe try and make it less obvious?? A woman came in with her daughter I assume and wanted a wax, and as she was paying I heard her say 'chin.lip, eyebrow.' Whatever. I hear that all the time in there. But then I look over and see one of the techs touching her face in the same places and laughing with another tech. Wtf?? If that was me I would have called her out on it; as a client completely unrelated to what happened, I didn't appreciate it. Everytime someone says something in english they go on to say something in their native language right after. We may not understand but we aren't that dense. Its obvious. Whatever ladies, at least I have eyebrows more than a millimeter thin. Suck it. We'll see how long these nails last bc I heard the woman does a good job, but after being so exhausted and annoyed from turning down so many other services and hearing the blatant gossiping going on, I'm not exactly pushing to come back. Clear Nail Spa is in the same space where Queens Nail Spa used to be-- and I can't say enough great things about this salon! The staff were super friendly, and they have a special deal for manis & pedis together-- only $25 on the weekend. They did a great job, and I didn't mind the short wait because we got to sit in the pedicure chairs with our feet soaking. At the end, they offered us bracelets as a good luck charm! Overall, it was a SUPER positive experience and I'll definitely be back! read more

Love love this nail salon! Jennie is my go to! She's an awesome person. Holds a great conversation and does a Fanta job at doing my manicure and pedicure. The only thing I don't agree with here is the callous remover. I paid 8$, and it doesn't seem to work at all. My feet are not rough at all just thought it would make it a little softer than what it is now. I also noticed they are getting cheap. They have rubbed my entire foot with the callus remover vs. putting a drip on a paper towel and slapping it on my heel. It didn't work at all. My feet feel the same. My design and polish are very nice but my heels feel the same. Kinda upset but I guess it is what it is. I learned my lesson. I won't pay the 8$ but the callus remover. I'd rather give this a 2.5, but stars don't come in increments on Yelp. My cousin brought me here this past weekend because it is her go-to nail salon. She likes it because they have pretty good prices ($8 for a manicure will not hurt your wallet) and she goes here every week. The salon itself was clean and I liked the general atmosphere - there's this cool blue dome in the ceiling with a really pretty light fixture, and the space is large which allows the tables to be spread apart so you don't feel crowded by other customers when getting your nails done. What DID make me feel crowded was the fact that for half of my manicure, I had one of the other nail techs standing right next to me, staring at me or my hands and occasionally talking to my tech in their mother tongue. I asked my cousin if this is something that happens frequently and she said that the staff did have a tendency to do that. It was really awkward and made me feel uncomfortable to have someone standing over me for such a long time, just watching me. The manicure itself was decent, but there was nothing that stood out about it to make it memorable. The back massage that I got while my nails were drying was pretty weak, but I didn't expect my nail tech to be a trained masseuse as well as a manicurist, so whatever. Now I understand that in terms of Westchester manicures, this one was pretty cheap. But one of my nails chipped within hours of my getting them done. I wasn't washing dishing or performing manual labor or playing the piano, or any other number of examples of activities that would cause my nails to chip so quickly. And now, less than a day later, almost half of my fingers have chips in the nail polish. I'd hope for a manicure to last longer than this, regardless of how much it cost. For $8 I could have bought a bottle of Essie and done them myself at home, and they would have held up far better. I guess if you're looking for a quick, basic mani, this would be a fine place to go. But don't expect it to last, and do expect to feel like you're on display. I don't think I'll be returning here any time soon. read more

Thought it would be fun to take my daughter for a girls day. The last time I went it was forty dollars for two manicures and the ten minute massage. Today however cost me over a hundred. They not only charged me for a thirty minute massage but also charged my eight year old for a thirty minute massage. I understand that everybody is struggling during these crazy times, but to take advantage of semi regular customers is atrocious. Make sure before you sit down for your nails you make it clear how much everything will cost. I started going to clear nail because Beach 2 used to push other services on me which is a pet peeve of mine. Well -needless to say I am moving on to another after months of so so experiences here. There is one particular "technician" that keeps pushing for spa pedicures and gel manicures when I have NO time in my day. I work very long hours. I finally gave in and got a gel manicure. When I went back to get a regular manicure , she charged me $5 extra for a "soak" to get gel off. She didnt soak a thing!! She just filed the gel off. I really dont like to get taken advantage of and be made a fool...I tipped her 5 instead of 10 (to make up the difference for the"soak") and kindly left and I WILL NOT GO BACK. I came up from the city to go to an event figure I get my feet done since it's been 3 months due to Covid and when I got there they last doing my nails was perfect however the nail polish and products they use are old and water down. The next morning my pedicure all my nail polish chipped . I called the next morning explaining to them i just got them done the day before the guy who picked up was rude as I proceeded to come back the lady fixed my feet after the guy who works there try to charge me and they messed up. The worst experience ever i was a walk in i wanted to do my nails for my wedding i asked for acrylic tips with gel french. Everything was fine until she cut the tips too short and said it was fine Then she began to apply a pink gel i thought i was a new acrylic without asking me i asked her what that was and how much was it going to be she said 75 i refused it was too expensive and not what i came in for She said i was cheap and began talking in chinese about me to her co workers! And was upset bc i didnt want that expensive gel. My cuticle looked horrible didnt even apply the oil or clean them. My nails were horrible and dry worst experience ever And a pedi the herbal tea which includes 10 min acupuncture foot massage with hot stones well it lasted a minute she quickly rubbed the stones and a quick massage. I come in all the time for pedicures and waxing but this time I left with CHEMICAL BURNS!!!!! The nail technician suggested the callus remover which I normally get once a month for my dry skin but this time he applied it sloppy and it ate through the skin on the back of my ankles. When I confronted the technician about it and demanded to speak to the manager 3 different people all squatted down to look at my skin and spoke in another language. I asked WHAT IS THIS? And they told me I was ALLERGIC to something. THE BIGGEST LIE EVER SINCE I HAVE NO ALLERGIES AND HAD THIS TREATMENT DONE BEFROE!!! they pointed and looked at it for about 10 minutes. At that point I called my mom and she directed me to come home. I grabbed my things and left CRYING the whole way home. I ended up in the ER with 1st and 2nd degree chemical burns. When the nurse called the salon to ask what they used they said it was only LEMON JUICE!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A LIE!!!! I now wrap my ankles twice a day with burn medication, gauze and dressings to heal my burns on top of the countless visits to my Dermotologist to ensure I'm not contracting and infection. I will have scarring and may need LASER TREATMENT to fix my ankles which have craters in them due to the chemicals eating LAYERS of my skin. I have not heard back from the salon about their insurance so that I can get reimburse for these expenses I now have due to their sloppy application. Also there was no warning that this was a chemical treatment. If I would have known it could do this to my body I would have NEVER agreed Please be cautious about this treatment, their faulty application and inability to face the responsibility for their terrible life altering mistake. read more

Lisa is unprofessional. she literally ripped my gel tips off with a dirty metro card. I expressed to her that was painful and she simply replied "yea a little" and continued to rip my nails off! keep in mind i was the only custie there she has no need to rush this job. I was unhappy with how rushed they performed my services on new years eve. I left with a fill that looked like it grown out for a week already and didn't clean up the cuticle. I went back despite this because its one of few places that takes walk ins. Called in an asked if she could soak off my current set as I want to start caring for my natural nails. My friend came along and she only had 4 gel tips left to remove. After insisting we get our nails done and us saying no thank you we just wanted them taken off. She tells me its $20 whether we go clear or pick a polish. my friend did her nails with polish and i had to return to work so all Lisa did was take off my set, no clear or color polish. she still charges me the $20 each. she then asks me if I'm gonna leave tip on card or cash. I took the $3 i had left in my purse and gave it to her. she laughed and pointed asking if that's her tip. as we go to walk out she tells me "what about his tip?' referring to the male who worked on my friend. we ignore her and she follows us to the door harassing us for a tip and finally I tell her "didn't know a tip was mandatory" she scoffs at me and walks away. side note: w covid going on she shouldn't have her workers going around touching people w/out their permission tryna get people to pay extra for messages. read more

Wasn't impressed. I've been looking for a new salon snce my old one closed. Went in for an acrylic fill...they made my nails too thin, the girl rushed polishing my nails even though there was no one waiting. Polish was uneven, spots down to the cuticle. Don't think I'll be back. read more

Bill was over $200 for 2 tips and 2 pedis. 4 nails of my friend fell off in under a week. Rush you out if past 7. Bad pedis and if you pay $30 for a hot stone massage it should be longer than 2 mins :( read more

9/14/18 - 6:00pm - I was a walk in customer and I wanted to have a freshly manicure for an event I was going to attend the next day. The experience was not welcoming. My service was simply a manicure for $10.00. I did tip $3.00 even though I did not enjoy my rush service. I also do not think the tools used were sterilized. Although there is a sign indicting their priority is cleanliness. My last manicure was 4 days ago from a Nail Spa in the Beach Shopping Center in Peekskill Helen is the best but she is always booked so I always make an appointment in advance. While I was receiving my manicure @ CLEAR NAILS SPA there was a customer sitting next to me stating that her gel MANICURE from less than a week ago did not last and she was there because she was going to attend a wedding the next day and she also had her services done there too. To my surprise she return again for gel services. I definitely will not have services there again in the future. I do recommend services @ CLEAR NAIL SPA in Courtlandt, NY. read more

It actually pains me to write such a bad review of my experience today at this salon. I've been coming to this nail salon for years. I was always happy with the job they did, but today was just down right annoying. I came in to get a pedicure with my sister. We were given menus to pick a pedicure, but we just wanted regular ones. So she then asks me once, "callus removal?" I said no thank you. She asked again, and I said no thank you. She then picked up my foot and pointed to a small spot and said "you need callus removal." I finally said yes after being asked multiple times, and saying no several times, but I figured it's 5 bucks (I've had it before and that was the price) and when I got the bill it said the callus removal was 8. My 20 dollar pedicure went to 28 real quick, with the extra minute of scrubbing for nothing. I said "when did you change the prices of the callus removal? I said no multiple times and that should have been enough to stop asking. And if the price changed I would think you would let me know." She didn't even answer me at all. I am a waitress, and if there is an upcharge, I always let the guests know about it and the price, so they aren't wide blinded with the bill with all extra stuff, or Something they ordered before that was a price and then raised. This is just bad business. Hope they enjoy the 8 dollars, because they lost a very loyal customer who happens to tip very will! There goes tip money and business money! read more

I was going here for awhile but never again. After receiving a pedicure (my cousin and I), we were getting ready to leave and the owner asked me if I left a tip. I replied yes (actually left a quite generous tip) and he had the nerve to ask me how much. I said why does that matter?!! He then proceeded to pull the cc receipt to check. Once he saw the tip amount he was like oh ok. Really?!?!? Tips are earned not mandatory. I've been here a few times. Very cheap. My first time I got the younger girl- she was fantastic. Very friendly and full of compliments and gave me a perfect manicure even though my nails were short and in bad shape. On my most recent trip I got one of the older women, it could not have been worse. She started by asking if I was pregnant [I'm not] then she told me my eyebrows were too thin. The mani and pedi she gave me is awful, I could have done a better job myself. She made me bleed trimming my cuticles, left a huge gap between my skin and the polish, left polish smudged on the skin around every nail, and overall the polish looks very uneven and sloppy. I won't be back regardless of how cheap they are, It's worth it to pay a little more for a decent job. read more

I have been going to this salon for 6 years, I have a standing appointment every 2 weeks. This is my 2 hours of relaxation every 2 weeks. I could have done a better job. First, the woman doesn't even know how to clean out your nail polish off. Then rush thur the whole thing, she wont even scrub your feet properly. No even attemp to scrub the callouses, and then she can even brush the nail polish properly. Pedi lasted not even 5 minutes. I will never come back. I have been coming to this salon for 4 years now. I don't know why all the negativity. I love the way they do my gel manicures. I get compliments all the time on the way my nails look. I do always make an appt as I like going to one particular manicurist, but I have gone to the others if she really wasn't available and have been very happy. Nails last at least one month and I work, cook clean etc..... never had a problem. I get peducures and have her do all my waxing...... love it here. They treat me like family. read more
