Unfortunately they sold me a sample of that they couldn't provide because the slim pod which is one of the major features of this place was not available for the entire day. I was told I can come back later and do it again but it's a long way from home and I didn't feel like that was nice. I paid the full amount and didn't get what I was sold. The staff is nice and friendly. But also the place is small so you can hear all the details of the private conversations including what they are ordering for lunch. I think when you're getting compression therapy on your legs you'd rather just have some nice soothing atmosphere instead of something like that. Not that they weren't nice people, they were very nice but I came there to unwind and relax. it's a clean place with very nice decor and the equipment looks state of the art. Overall I would say there may be benefits to a place like this but I would never know because I'm not going back. The place was far away, the parking was not convenient, and my overall experience was negative unfortunately because I know it could've been positive if it was played right. I texted the number that was offering me the services yesterday to explain this before I wrote this review. All I got was a robot answering me instead of a person selling me or helping me this time.

I thought the float room and the shower in it were also beautiful. Being that it was my first time it took me about 20 minutes to get the hang of floating and settle in and at some point I fell asleep!! I felt horrible as it took me a bit to wake up with the employee telling me my session was over but she was really nice about it! The salt cave was also stunning and comfortable. I really do think it helped me be less congested. My only complaint is that the body wash in the shower was out so I used shampoo to get the salt off and there was no opportunity to dry my hair. I also am having a bit of trouble with salt in my ears but they offered ear plugs so that's just a beginners error. I am a highly anxious person and I can honestly say I walked out of this place feeling like I could take on the world. I've never been so at peace and cannot wait to come back!!

They then assign you a small locker for your shoes and then you go inside to the gender specific locker rooms where you have a larger locker. They issue you a uniform that you need to wear while in the common areas so you need to change into that in the locker room. Since the locker rooms are gender specific, all baths within that area require full nudity (I did not participate in those but I heard they were wonderful). Any service like mud bath and scrubs require full nudity and you can sign up online or right inside the locker room. If nudity isn't your thing, there are still plenty of things to do (just no bath stuff). In the common area, all genders intermingle and there are 5 different saunas will all different temperatures and all different themes. They have a sleeping room (which is also used for a nice yoga class), lounge chairs, a common sitting area, a cafe, and a small eatery. You can rent games at the cafe for free and the cafe has a huge menu of both healthy and indulgent treats. You can sign up for different massages, facial, hair, or foot treatments right in the common area. I do suggest signing up for these services online beforehand because they fill up quickly (all services are an extra charge and automatically add an 18% gratuity). We spent about 7 hours here with a group of 7 people and we wish we had more time. I do wish that they had proper showers inside with curtains and/or a changing area for those of us that are a little shy. Staff was friendly and we'll definitely be back. Afternoon got crowded so I would suggest going earlier in the day if you're going on a weekend.

On my first few visits, they provided 2 towels and a robe; then they switched to no robe but 3 towels; and then only 2 towels and no robe! I've seen people rally and ask for a robe and/or more towels, but imo people shouldn't have to ask: a robe and at least 2 towels should be the default. There's also a cafe upstairs, but it is often closed without notice. When it is open, the service is usually very slow, and sometimes they get the order wrong. They also sometimes invent new ways to be a cafe (there was a short-lived experiment where they had people place orders downstairs, and then wander upstairs whenever they suspected their order may be ready), but it doesn't need to be complicated--just have a person at the cafe to take orders and then fulfill those orders. With that said, the amenities (saunas, pools, etc.) are great and incredibly restorative, as are the services (scrubs, massages, etc.), and employees and customers alike have always been nice. I'm very glad Brooklyn Bathhouse is in the neighborhood; my only other recommendation would be getting rid of the two hour notice requirement to book a day pass, because then I would pop by even more!
