I paid $32 to have one of the company cars washed & vacuumed and I came back to work with still a half dirty car. The empty hatch hadn't been touched and that's where it needed it the most. The control panel still had dust all over it. Very disappointing. They've lost our business unfortunately. read more

Clean Sweep's service has dramatically dropped. The last few times I've had my car washed there the car hadn't gotten clean on the outside. The interior wasn't wiped off and the windows were so streaked they were hard to look through. Even when I asked them to re-clean them they were still bad. I like their nice shop on the inside it is very comfortable, but paying over $32 for an inferior car wash makes no sense. Zips self-service car wash is a better car was for half the price. read more

I have been there once or twice and both times they seemed to do a better job than the other similar car washes I've been to in Central Kentucky. Next, I hope to get a full detail done there in the Soei Finally, in July got my "Spring" car wash there. I just got an expensive wash this time ($22) and didn't get a detail because my kids were with me and Covid..., but my car still looked terrific and the tires were shined and paint hand dried. I tipped $10 because I was so happy with my wash. Staff wore masks and gloves, and staff didn't seem to get very close to each other so I felt good about being there. read more

Because of all the snow, mud, etc., we've had, I decided to get it detailed which I have never had done before. The young man that took my truck stated that the price included getting EVERYTHING, inside and outside, cleaned. Needless to say, that wasn't true. They did clean the inside good, but the outside was a mess! The manager, Brandon, stated that the price I paid DID NOT INCLUDE THE OUTSIDE OF MY TRUCK! I told him what I was told and he said it would be an additional $125 to get the flaps and other outside areas cleaned! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! I told Brandon that most companies would honor what the customer had been told, but no, not him! I told him his staff needs to be retrained to give out correct information because there was NO WAY I would pay that kind of money and not get my WHOLE truck cleaned. I spent 147 to clean Carpet, seat and Super Interior Clean. The company's address is 550 South Broadway Lexington, KY. But nothing has been done!! Never ever come to this place. I even do better than them! And they said they never promise to clean. Is that a joke? Why am I spend 147? For nothing? They said because my car can not be cleaned. But I use a wipe and a few seconds to clean it, please check the last picture and compared with the first picture! And if I have a tool, I could clean it completely! They do not do their job! Went here to have my car wash and vacuum for the 1st in a long time. Was asked what i wanted and I said, cleaned and vacuumed inside and out. Before getting out I placed all important stuff in the truck and started to walk inside. I was asked if I wanted my truck done, I said no thank you. Once inside I was charged 54.00. I was shocked thinking I was only getting a clean car. Then I realized, they pulled my car into a bay for a little detailing I guess. Got home and my Husband asked for the Aukey car mount; we wanted to return. So I went to the truck of my car where I placed it; only to find it was gone. When I called I asked if someone could check in the bay where the car was cleaned. They said they do a check every evening and there was no mount. This car wash BROKE MY SEAT! I dropped my Audi Q5 off to be detailed and cleaned inside and out. My passenger side seat worked perfectly before leaving my car with this place .... when I picked it back up I noticed the passenger side seat moved all the way forward- I figured this was normal protocol when cleaning under the seats. It wasn't until my boyfriend tried to get into my car after getting home that we noticed it wouldn't move AT ALL. I speculate a worker there (typically young college boys) got in it and jammed it forward ignoring any signals of something being stuck underneath of it, etc! My wife had her car scratched with a black bumper on the side while at the supermarket. I had serious doubt that anyone can remove that scratch and the scratches her ring and nails leave on the inside of the door handle. I went to clean sweep at 550 S Broadway and amazingly they left the car looking like new again. They were able to remove small scrapes and scratches from many years ago. There are many car washes popping up in Lexington but none of them as good as Clean Sweep, with all the detail options. read more

Just got their wheels express car wash ($25 + $2 extra because I drive an SUV). I had two different bird poop spots on my car -- both are still there. The exterior of the car is splotchy and doesn't seem like it is going to hold up well. On the bright side, a flower pot had spilled in my card and left some soil on the floor the day before, and they did a nice job vacuuming that. I said something to the manager and he said he'd fix it.... used nasty dirty rags to go from wheels to hood scratching the shit out of my car!!!! Proceeded to tell me my car wasn't any better than an $800 car and threatened me when I asked for a refund on a $100 wash and wax. Today I stopped in for a wash, vacuum, windows, inside cleaned and tires. $26 total cost. Average wait time. Did enjoy wandering around the shop inside. A bit over priced but it passed the time. Now, here is where my two stars comes into play. My brand new less than two weeks old car still had bugs and dirt on the windshield and grill. Not just a few, it was very noticeable. Inside the car you could still my finger prints on my AC and radio. For $26 bucks it was not clean. Seriously? You couldn't take the time to at least make sure my outside window was clean and free of bugs? I asked if someone would wipe the radio/ac again and magically no one spoke English and they looked annoyed that I was holding up the spot. Fair warning... their tip box is near the exit of the store, not near where they do the work. I tipped $6 and walked over like a dummy to find this. I will not be back. read more

Had a very pleasant experience at clean sweep today. I went in for an express detail, the attendant at the front told me it would take 20 minutes, so I went for it. Unfortunately, the express detail was 45 minutes, causing me to miss my next appt. I expressed my dissatisfaction with management and told them the gentleman taking orders needs To be better informed. I was not looking to get anything for free but management graciously gave me a coupon for my next wash to be free. The overall express detail was very good and I am extremely pleased with the work that they performed. I will definitely be returning to clean sweep on Broadway. The worst job of cleaning my car ever and most expensive. I am disappointed and tipped the vacuum guy ahead of time!

I was leaving Lexington Clinic and had some time to kill before another appointment and decided to have my truck cleaned. I decided to try this car wash and purchased the Super Works for $32.00. The cashier was extremely cordial and friendly and they have a great gift shop. I had a short wait until my truck was brought outside and two attendants started drying off the exterior. The truck looked clean from afar but the closer I got the nerf bars and the wheels where still dirty. The windows where not clean. I realize these are young kids doing the drying but it's obvious they don't really care about doing a good job. If the automatic car wash doesn't get your vehicle clean then don't expect the outside attendants to complete the job. This was my first and last time at the Clean Sweep on S. Broadway. read more

The staff are friendly and help me out on any questions that I might have. Karen greets me with a smile when I check in and a quick conversation every time. This place is ok. The carwash is reasonably priced and seems to get the job done. The problem I have is the lobby and the staff. The lobby is full of random clutter. I'm sure some people love it but it just gets in my way. I always get lost trying to find the register. The staff is friendly but could be more professional in my opinion. Please don't go there for your car cleaning: I took my car to wash the interior portion spending $129. I had my kids with me on that day so I put car seat on my car. The clearer didn't pulled out the car seat and left the underneath uncleaned. When I noticed this after a month and talked with the manager, he denied to clean that portion. Stopped in before 10 this morning for a Wheel Express wash. They did an ok job but not as well as I expected or they'd done in the past. Windshield still had some bug splat and inside gps suction cup marks. Side windows were not rolled down and cleaned either. They wiped the dash and console pretty well. The step bar on the drivers side of the truck was beautiful sparkling clean. I noticed that the passenger side had not been touched once I got home. Paid $22 plus tip. I don't know if I'll continue to stop here if this is their new level of service. Stopped by in July for a exterior only wash and they did a great job. read more

If I could rate ZERO I would!!! Paid $30 bucks for nothing. Was told my car would be vacuumed and wiped down. They flipped the supposed vacuumed mats over, wiped nothing then told me I could pay $54 bucks to have a "good" vacuum and car wiped down!! I have never heard of a good or terrible vacuum and have not heard of "vacuuming" to mean u flip something over!! Just terrible. They don't do a good job, vacuuming poorly, floor mats dirty, water spots on windows, side mirrors back window wasn't even cleaned, door frame wasn't wiped and my list goes on...OH if you see the problem, the manager is very friendly and quick about making it right BUT I would have to have it taken care of AGAIN, EVERY TIME So inspect before leaving!!!! My son has there monthly package, since he got this, he has noticed the service has been worse!! They really need to weed out the ones who DON'T care!! I came here to get a headlight replaced and that did not happen. I told the lady working at the booth that I had a bulb out and asked if they could fix those, and I was assured that they could. 30 minutes later, I was told that they were done, so I grabbed my keys and took off. I got home and noticed that it was still out, so I called to explain the situation. I was told over the phone that I would be refunded if I drove back over. Not even 15 minutes later, I was back just to be told that they did a "headlight restoration" and could not refund me. According to the manager (who I spoke to on the phone), the promise of a refund was a "miscommunication." So if you want competent and caring service, save your $25 and go somewhere else. I've never had a bad car wash before, I guess I'm not super picky. But I usually go to Jeff's on Nichadville Rd or do it myself. I decided to go to Clean Sweep because it was convenient today, paid $29. The outside is ok but they did nothing to the inside. They gave it a swipe I guess because it left yellow marks on the dash. I came home and cleaned the inside with windex wipes-it looks pretty good now. I will never go back. They are awful. read more

What a lousy car wash! I told the attendant I wanted the best wash and interior cleaning they have I paid $35 for my car to be washed, basic inside vacuum, windows cleaned etc. When I got in my car, it looked completely untouched inside other than they'd taken my all weather mats and hosed them off. They had taken my coffee thermos out of the drink holder on the console and tossed it into the back seat, where it had seeped a sticky coffee mess onto the leather seat. I had to show them look you've caused a spill in my seats. They said "do you want us to clean it up?" They had hosed off the floor mats and tossed them back in wet so the back seat leather and carpeting was soaked! This made me mad because it had never been wet and I am concerned for mildew. They did not clean my windows other than what the auto wash did. They did not even do a cursory vacuum - see photo. I felt my $35 was wasted here. The caliber of the wash was about the same as any $9 drive thru wash, and the interior wipe down/vacuum/glass was simply not done. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

For $25, you can crash into curbs, drive through a heavy rain, and STILL buy a half a tank of gas. I'm an observant university student who pinches pennies, so I usually detail my cars myself to save money. Well, I decided to splurge a little and treat my beloved daily driver to a good cleaning, but stopping by Clean Sweep on S. Broadway in Lexington was the WORST DECISION I've made this month. Seriously. A measly four washes can run over $100.00 For that price, the car should be absolutely pristine and I should get a "Thank you for your business," and *not* have to wade through their tacky-@$$ gift shop. Is it a tourist trap or a car wash?!? These nit-picks aside, I let the guys and girls at Clean Sweep do their thing... The bro culture waiting outside CARELESSLY smacked a dirty towel around the outside, called it a job well done, then sent me on my way with MY WINDSHIELD STILL PLASTERED IN BUGS. While I was unimpressed with the LINT EVERYWHERE in my interior, but continued home anyways, thinking my car was clean. After parking my car at home to admire its cleanliness, I discovered that MY PREVIOUSLY PRISTINE ALLOY WHEELS WERE BADLY MARRED BY THE BARE-STEEL WHEEL RAIL, and their AUTOMATED WASH DID NOTHING AT ALL. The black gunk that I drove in with was still there, just as thick as before. THIRTY SECONDS WITH A WET TOWEL TOOK EVERYTHING OFF MY CAR **WITHOUT SCARRING MY PERFECT ALLOYS AND SETTING ME BACK 25 BUCKS.** After a few days of thinking, I realized that what they did was NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THE PRICE POINT, and that they needed to do something to MAKE THINGS RIGHT. So, I returned to the location today, and calmly and politely explained my situation, and asked for a refund. The woman at the register quickly suggested that, "Oh, yeah those spots are probably in your clear coat." Literally 5 Calories of ELBOW GREASE made my car SHINE LIKE NEW. So I calmly explained that to her. The cashier ignored my counter-point, and then proceeded, "No refunds for services." She said, "Go ask the girl out front for a re-do." I now realize that those were fighting words. Heavily disappointed, I pulled around to give Clean Sweep a SECOND CHANCE to avoid having to write this vicious (and entirely true) review. But now I need do what I can to PROTECT OTHER DRIVERS WHO VALUE THEIR CARS from being treated so badly and having to deal with the DAMAGE DEALT TO THEIR VEHICLES. Anyways, I foolishly accepted. And now I'm writing this review, because I just DOUBLED MY LOSSES. EVEN DEEPER SCRATCHES AND STILL JUST AS DIRTY AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME. This place was TRULY AWFUL TO ME. They UNAPOLOGETICALLY DAMAGED MY PERFECT WHEELS, and then were BOLD ENOUGH TO REFUSE ME A REFUND. I can not believe I was stupid enough to try to get something good from this train-wreck of a business that HAS to be wronging hundreds of others, too.
