I wish I could give them 10 stars! I took my son's truck in to be washed inside and out. Not detailed, just cleaned. I was the best car wash I have ever had. My son's truck is a work truck and it was filthy. They took so much time on it, before it went through the automatic wash and after when cleaning the inside. It was almost as thorough as if I had asked them to detail it. Plus, I received a Senior Sunday discount of $10!! I will always go back there for my car washed. Excellent!! read more

Worst Car wash ever!!! DO not waste your money at this place. You can get a better car wash for $5.00 thru an automatic wash. Total waste of $40 car was as dirty as it was when in went in for a wash. The wash is old and does a terrible job. Manager came out saw all the dirt and suggested next time I get the wax??? I would hate to see the wax job on top of all the dirt. If you can't clean a car you really think I will trust you to wax my car!!! Poor customer service. Please read reviews!! My first and last time at this care wash. Very sad to write this review as I have been going to Mr. Sparkle for 12 years but I just had the worst experience. They lost a customer. There were six people working today, only ONE worker was wearing a mask. To that one worker who was, THANK YOU. I should have asked for his name because not only was he making me feel safer by wearing his mask he opened my car door AND my sisters car door. Very sweet and very much appreciated. Unfortunately his five other coworkers were not wearing masks and in six months of quarantine I have NEVER been this uncomfortable. The man who drove my car out of the wash was not wearing a mask and touched his nose while in my car. Neither the woman at the indoor cash register NOR the man at the outdoor register were wearing masks. I had to wait about 10 minutes to even pay for my wash because the worker was chatting with three customers who I guess we're also her friends. The three customers were not wearing masks either. I live in a house with someone that is considered in the at risk category for this virus and so passing it on to him is something I think about on a daily basis. I have not had a car wash in about a year so I thought it would be safe. It was not. Behind the indoor cash register, there was a cork board that had masks hanging with names written in sharpie on them. These were the blue medical/disposable masks that you can tell have been worn if the nose piece has been bent. It did not look like any of these masks had ever been worn because the nose pieces were not bent one bit. If I have on latex gloves and a mask at your place of business, it should be fairly obvious that I am taking things VERY seriously. I would hope that people I am paying for a service would take that into consideration. read more

Had been years since I had been here. Stopped by because it was close used to live off Southland drive and would come here regularly. Very disappointed they were not busy at all now I see why. There was no one there so you would think the would have gone out of their way to do the best job possible. Signs everywhere inside dont let this place die they Re doing it to themselves. Each time I go for a service, I am greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff that treats me with respect, and they do an outstanding job! Pretty disappointed to get a note in my car that says they couldn't finish vacuuming my car because it took more than 7 minutes. For $27 car wash, I would expect a complete job. I had a terrible experience with the car detail offered. They price quoted me at several hundred dollars but ended up negotiating down to $100 (I get that, I have dogs and pet hair is hard to get out) they took 3+ hours (they had many clients but I had made an appointment) and I walked up on them placing my bike rack on and they banged a wrench against my 4Runner on accident and stated "good thing this is a farm car..." I then found out that several of the items they took out of my car, never made it back in my car! I had to arrange a time to drive back to pick up my items and still not all were accounted for and were sadly never found... read more

I am an employee with LFUCG and bring my city vehicles here to have them cleaned and washed. I have always been treated with respect and received great service. Today was something else. My regular vehicle which I inherited from another officer was not perfect, but I take care of it and enjoy a clean surrounding. Well today I had to give my car up because the driveline is shuttering during accelerations and that is not good. I now have inherited a "more manly" pick-up truck and it would be cool except I found the interior condition to have been left in an offensive condition. When I packed up my belongings from my assigned car I did as I usually do and remove everything so that the only thing left in the vehicle would be some grass or dirt rocks on the floor board and nothing else. This way if I get the car back or someone else does we can start fresh, as it should be. I started my morning picking up all the trash in the truck. Trash being cans, bottles (some full, some not), old food in the tracks of the seat (limiting mobility), peanuts, expired/frivolous papers, etc... And there was still more in the bed of the truck (sad). After all my single handed cleaning efforts, the truck was still gross. I showed up at Mr. Sparkle approximately at 12:15 pm after calling ahead and being so grateful they were open on a slightly rainy day (in my mind this was an emergency). To let you know, I am a retired Master Plumbing Contractor, so believe me if something grosses me out, it is sure to gross you out. Mr. Sparkle looked at the vehicle, and remember I had already removed all the trash and debris which I was physically able to without a vaccum, but it was still bad (maybe not the worst, but bad). I was afraid they would turn me away, bur Mr. Sparkle did not (GOD bless them). I removed my two full bags of trash from the truck bed and turned the keys over to the gentleman in charge of the station. They did by the way offer to let me relieve my trash bags in their dumpster, but because I knew the task they had at hand before them, I cordially thank'd them and said I was going to leave the trash at our LFUCG approved dump site. So Mr. Sparkle's staff took control of the care of this vehicle and went to work. I have been here a dozen times since becoming an LFUCG employee and I have always been happy, but today I have been reborn. The personal washed it and cleaned it and I am extremely happy. They worked hard and never complained. The truck now looks good. Now the seats still look as if somebody did battle with a Big Mac, cup of Joe, and some Doritos, but that is a story for another day. I hear Mr. Sparkle does detailing, so that may be my solution. read more

This is my favorite Lexington car wash. I will literally drive out of my way to make it out to this location. It's the only place that gets my car completely clean. I don't know if it's because my car is so low to the ground, but all of the other washes leave my car with many uncleared spots... not here though. It's located next to the bowling alley on Southland Drive. It's sort of hidden though. You have to turn at Columbia Express, and you will see it. Usually when the weather is nice you have to wait in a long line. There are separate lanes, one for the express wash which is currently $6.00, and the other two lanes are for more detailed washes, vacs and detail options. If you choose one of the more detailed options, you can go inside to wait and pay. Inside, they have air fresheners and a few other car accessories to purchase. I usually go with the express wash that includes the air dry too. At the end, they'll dry the windows and that's where you'll find the tip box. These people work hard. But I've had a few weird experiences with the employees...which is the only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars. read more

My absolute favorite place to get my car washed, vacuumed, and sometimes detailed. For under $30 you can have your car looking newer than when you drove it off the lot at purchase. Henry and his staff are always so accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure you are completely satisfied. If I had one complaint (which obviously I do), the lady working the desk when you cash out always seems to be grumpy, short, and quite frankly just unfriendly. As usual very happy with cleaning of my car. However when I pulled up today no one was in line for either express or full service. I opted for full service and handed my car over to the vacuum and mat cleaning crew. I went to the counter to pay and on outside to the wait area. Then a car was driven out by a customer indicating express but was placed in full service lane. A complete service was done on her car ahead of me. Just went to pick up my car that I had detailed. The car had been sitting for several years and it was a true mess. Cobwebs, light dusting of moss on the steering wheel, completely filthy. I arrived at Mr. Sparkle and looked inside the vehicle and almost fainted. Absolutely beautiful. Looked completely restored. The detailer was Stephon and I can tell he took his time and accepts nothing less than perfection. Stephon has been with this family owned business for years and I see why they value him. 100% happy with my interior detailing job. I have used their car wash services multiple times in the past but had to write today because I was so impressed. I have gone to this car was for years over 30 and have been somewhat satisfied until I went and bought their "Protection Package" $27.00, after my 2016 Nissan went through the car wash the front of the car looked like it never went through the wash, their response was, you should have picked the bug remover for an extra $5.00, well after paying $27.00 for a car wash I was not interested in another $5 to get it clean! After telling the person at the counter about it she said they would look at it outside the people outside said you need to pay the $5 OMG I went back in and told the owner of the business that I wasn't not ever coming back, her answer was that's good!! BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PURCHASE MONTHLY PLANS FROM MR. SPARKLE!! I purchased an unlimited monthly plan in about mid-August, intended for it to be a one time thing. I knew I was going to be out of town quite a bit for the next few months, and in fact the records there show my last visit was in September. I realized when paying bills this week that the monthly plan was SET UP AS A RECURRING CHARGE WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION on my credit card and I have 3 months of charges totaling $52.50. I spoke with the manager at Mr. Sparkle on Southland and she said it states in the flyer that it would be a recurring charge. NOTHING ABOUT A RECURRING CHARGE WAS MENTIONED EITHER VERBALLY OR ON PAPER. I WAS NOT GIVEN A FLYER. I ASKED FOR A ONE MONTH PLAN--THAT'S ALL! Pretty good gig you have going there. I'm one of the few people I know who actually check their credit card statements--sure wish I had done it 3 months ago. I hate to have to give a one star when the workers do a great job with cleaning cars, but I have just experienced my two out of two times visiting the busines of dealing with the rudest management EVER !! I went on a Sunday for the Senior Citizen (SC) discount . Great service. When I went to pay the mgmt tells me (rudely) that there will be a extra $1 to use a bank card. I said " okay, but why do you not have that on any of your many postings?" The mgmt replied extremely rudely with a lot of attitude " I have it posted EVERYWHERE ! I have been doing this for. YEAR !! I do a scanned of the many postings on the walls and none have this info. She takes my card and shoves my card and a 4x4 printed flier telling of the Sunday Citizen discount ( and yes ) the statement regarding the extra charge for cards. What I found amusing as well as EXTREMELY unprofessional , on this small flier is this disclaimer in bold print which says "PLEASE DO NOT COMPLAIN, ARGUE OR CAUSE DISCOMFORT TO MY EMPLOYEES ABOUT THIS ISSUE". I can excuse one bad day but I had incurred a similar experience with this female mgmt the last time I went to this car wash a year a go . When you give them your email address you get a disc coupon ( thinking it was a free car wash ) . In very small print was a expiration date of about a week out. I did not see this and went in a day beyond expiration. This same person was again extremely rude. I am for rules , but you can stand your ground and be kind about it. Obvious this person must be the owner of the car wash because if she isn't I would replace her quickly if I owned the business, she should not be working with the public. She will not miss this one person's business but I have venue to a large social media I plan to share this info with.
