I posted a review last week about not having any towels. That issue has been since rectified and there were plenty of towels when I went there Saturday. Unfortunately, none of the vacuums work now. I understand that things break, but that is one of the most essential tools they have there. I went back today to give them another chance and they are all still broken. I wash my car several times a week and I'm having a hard time finding a reliable car wash in Lexington. I paid $12 for a car wash and never got a full cleaning. The tracks were not working properly and my car came off of them. I've been through enough car washes to know you don't move your wheel or take it out of neutral so I definitely know this wasn't my fault. After getting stuck for 10 minutes while the two attendants sat around and did nothing for the first five minutes before attempting to turn off the car wash and then did the bare minimum to help me get unstuck. After getting unstuck the car wash never finished cleaning my car. My car now looks worse than when I brought it in due to the dried soap streaks everywhere. Do not waste your time. Charged my credit card twice for one car wash. I do not recommend doing any business with them. They always have someone with an I pad trying to sell a monthly membership. The I Pad always has trouble making a connection and they charge you twice. The phone number listed is not for that location. Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville car wash has a friendly and helpful staff, but the corporate office processing credit card membership has overcharged my credit card for the last four months. Their explanation has been that we had two accounts,simply untrue. My credit card bank is now investigating the multiple and incorrect charges. I had attempted to address the issue with the corporate office of Zips to my disatisfaction requiring my husband to cancel my membership paid for by my credit card, or should I say over charged credit card. The zips cat washes in Lexington are horrible and so is the customer service. They will cancel your membership and the reactivate it not letting you into the car wash. The attendant told me it was canceled months ago and then all of a sudden I'm charged $25. They have been taking money out of my account for months and only wanted to offer a discount price. I had a membership (it was under my husband name since he paid the bill). I cancelled it and had an email stating that it was cancelled. They continued to charged my account (claiming that I didn't cancel 7 day before the next billing cycle). I thought it was resolved and opened a new membership under my name only to find out that - nope - they didn't close the membership under my husband's name and were now charging me twice for the same car. Have been going to the location on off Leestown Rd for a couple years, started out impressed with location. Now it is filthy, trash all over the parking lot, mat cleaner broken and most vacuums don't work. Because they are not labeled when they don't you have to walk around and find one that does, then move your car. I canceled membership. Received an email notice confirming cancelation on June 13th. Late June the auto draft hit my credit card after the cancelation. I called, they said they would reimburse my card. Nothing for 2 weeks, emailed again to escalate and was told I would receive credit, it finally came through. Checked my card today and I was charged AGAIN! Now I have to get AMEX involved to stop payment. Deliver what people pay for and they won't cancel. Basic business model. read more

I have had a membership here for almost 12mo. My husband, a couple of years, I've noticed, like others, that it's having some issues. The mat cleaner has been broken for months. They no longer pre-spray tires. But today did me in. I decided I'd detail my vehicle myself. See, I have a four-year-old. So, yesterday I did a pre-treat and cleaned my mats at home and my carwash. Pretty sure the manager was working and busting her butt. Today I returned for final cleaning, and I noticed that the towels were empty. I asked inside, and he said 20 minutes. Clearly they had been busy the 20 minutes isn't what bothered me. There were at least 5-6 cars behind me and no one notified us there were no towels and when I parked further away, there were several bins with dirty towels and spray containers. The one guy just sitting in there, I retuned and asked him for the managers contact information and he refused, I said I need to cancel and he grabbed another girl. She said people steal the towels and I explained they had at least 15 towels they hadn't collected. I asked for the number and went to collect the towels and spray bottles and she said "wow, you just did that" in this snarky attitude. Yes, i wanted you to see it took less than 5 minutes to grab those. Actually about 30 seconds. It's not that they ran out of towels, it's how she handled the situation. This location has broken components of their car wash, yet they don't inform you prior to your purchase. So you go through the wash, don't get the value of wash that you paid for, and then when you go speak to the management about it, they say tough luck. This is false advertisement, low character, bullcrap. They also have numerous vacuums that are not operable, and are rarely well stocked with the hand cleaning towels for post wash detailing by the patrons. They need to be held accountable and to a higher standard. I do not recommend going here. read more

This place is a train wreck. Go literally anywhere else. Visit 1: I happened upon it last week, and signed up for their promo $10/2 mos., but the kiosks are just busted all to hell. Hard to understand, bad interface, white tape covering several sensors. (Also, the no-exit entry chute lands at 3 kiosks, one of which was safety-coned off and the other two both had clear evidence of broken equipment.)The screen told me the attendant would give me a bar-code sticker. Didn't happen. Had to go inside and work my way through multiple employees, none of whom seemed to be too thrilled to be there OR understand what to do. Also, the self-serve mat cleaner was broken. The vacuums worked well, though. Visit 2: A week later, I returned with my proud new RFID tag, looking forward to an express car wash, through the Members lane. There was one car in front of me, apparently trapped because their tag wouldn't work. And for 15 mins, I too became TRAPPED. No way out. Stuck behind the trapped car. No way to back out. It's one lane. The employee walked about as casually as he could multiple times to the car in front of me, twice returning to the office (at a slow walk), before the car in front of me finally got the gate raised. Cars stacking up behind me. When I rolled up, the gate also wouldn't raise. White tape over several sensors. When I managed to get the attention of the same barely-engaged employee, he told me my tag must be expired. I replied (honestly, barely containing my deep frustration at having been here for 15 mins by now) that I'd gotten it LAST WEEK. He ambled off for the office, and after a couple more minutes the gate went up. Finally through with the car wash (which is a good one, ironically), I got out and went inside to speak to the manager. Also, noting that the mat cleaner was STILL broken. I found a beleaguered, disengaged, and exhausted young woman, gazing vacantly into her phone who claimed to be the manager sitting in a chair, who kept her back to me and initially wouldn't make eye contact with me, as I shared my frustration. I try to always be respectful, especially to people in service industry jobs, but the 'tude was thick in the air. And the implication of "well, here comes another one." She and I finally came to an even keel when she confessed that the place was a disaster, many things were broken, they were always understaffed, and she felt powerless to do anything about it. I sympathize with that, and felt bad for her. But I officially *hate* Zips. Before I left, a lot of the tension had dissipated, and I asked her about my promo membership $10 for two mos., and whether it would auto-cancel or I needed to do something, and learned that I DID need to actively cancel the membership or it would start billing me monthly at a higher rate ($29, I think). She said she could cancel it or I could do it online, and I asked how to do it online, and she said she didn't really know. Wow, just wow. I was able to drive my car through and it was seemingly cleaned. The single attendant did seem to pay attention while I positioned my car. So, that seems adequate. Like other ZIPS locations, the lot is cluttered with trash. Many of the bays are blocked. And the vacuums are either nonfunctional or barely adequate in clearing debris. I have yet to find a Zips location worthy on my monthly subscription. read more

I've been using zips car wash for at least 6 years and I went thru the one on New circle road and it broke my base that my antenna was attached to. I tried to follow up for a month trying to get my car fixed, so I went by there and come to find out my incident report was not put in correctly and about a week later zips sends me an email saying they was not responsible for my broke antenna and I explained that they had broke my base off my car. These folks are very unprofessional and I would never suggest anyone to go there. Most of the times their vacuums don't work and if their washes damage your vehicle they have no accountability whatsoever. Not very good. Will not take a brush and wipe back of SUV off so when it comes out of the wash it is still dirty and their vacuums don't work properly either Also their air hoses no longer work so you cannot blow your car off. They charge a premium price for a non premium service !!!! read more

Before I had a license I had my mom take our car to Jeff's Car wash. Even when living in Eastern KY I went to Jeff's EVERY SINGLE TIME I was in town. So I just quit my job here at Zips car wash today. I was the assistant manager. For anyone that is getting charged and DID NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP!! The tall store manager Justin Lane has been taking peoples debit cards and signing them up from inside from the front desk computer, that's when you slide your card into the card reader if you go here PAY CASH! As soon as you enter your debit card in he will delete the sale out of the entry as a single wash and sign your debit card up for a monthly charge a.k.a. membership plan this is so he can get his bonus every month! It's completely wrong in every single way and don't even get me started on how he is as a boss your first week you'll work a few hours your second or third or fourth week your hours will get cut as a full-time employee. He told me to clock out at 12 o'clock today and he scheduled me at 7 AM to open to the store what a joke at 12:06 he texted to me "it's past 12 when I needed you to clock out". You have got to be kidding me! He is one of the worst managers/bosses I have ever worked with completely greedy manipulative and a liar. Ever since it went from Anytime Car Wash to Zips, the place has gone downhill. Property looks like crap, grass to your knees. The car mat washer is never working. My car doesn't get as cleaned as it used to. 1/3 of the lanes were working today. Section of car wash itself was not moving.
