My granddaughter is having several tattoos removed and Chris is doing an excellent job removing them.

Chris is a nice guy in person, but I feel very misled. His initial estimate to me as you can clearly see here, stated he could remove the tattoo for $125. At the consultation I was told it would take at least 3 sessions, which were closer to $125 EACH. That was a red flag and I wish I would've just left at that point. Fast forward, and this is what it looks like now after three sessions and over $300 invested. Obviously this is going to cost a lot more money and more sessions. I just wish he would've been upfront with me at the start, that this would end up being more like $1,000 not $125. That's a *huge* discrepancy, and in that case I would've just kept the tattoo. read more

Amazing! Lana is the best! She is not pushy, very personable and clearly explains everything upfront so there are no surprises. Getting laser hair removal can be akaward in some areas, it can also be uncomfortable but she completely understands and will be your number one fan, cheering you on with every zap! Let me go ahead and prepare some of y'all with a little heads up on Laser hair removal. It is not for the weak willed! It is gonna hurt. Remember no pain, no gain. It's true for LHR. Also try to be mindful when you get zapped, don't scream and yell. Be an adult, suck it up and silently cry on the inside. I personally take two Tylenol and two ibuprofen 30- 45 minutes before hand and it helps a lot! The session probably lasts 5 minutes. It's the assessment/ test zaps that take the most time, to ensure the laser is on a high enough setting to actually damaged the hair follicle and cause that delayed regrowth which will eventually become permanent. I see Lana for my treatments and she is so knowledgeable and excited about anyone's laser hair removal journey. During my treatment Lana voluntarily breaks Down the patho/science behind how it all works while discussing the current signs she is looking for to ensure that the current laser setting is effective for outstanding results. I can NOT say enough about Clean Slate Ink! The best in professionalism, cleanliness, knowledge, and skills! Owner, Chris, took care of me from the moment I text the business number with pics of the tat I wanted removed. He sent me a quote and then we set the free consultation up on his first available appointment. After answering mine and my partner in crime's questions and going through the expectations of the process, he asked when I wanted to get started. I was ready to go right then and there. He did a couple of test areas to show me 1. what it felt like 2. what it would look like at during the process and 3. if I thought I could handle it. There was no turning back - I wanted to get it done! I started the process with Chris and he was extremely patient but fast and efficient so I never felt as though whatever pain I felt from the laser was just getting dragged on. Not gonna lie - it was a little painful but out of all the tattoos I have, it wasn't as painful as the one I got on my shoulder. He covered my whole left ankle (which is a fairly large tat) done in less than 2 minutes. Chris talked me through as it was getting done and before I knew it, it was time to get bandaged up. We covered after care instructions, discounts for multiple sessions (if I wanted to pay ahead of time for future treatments), and any questions my partner in crime and I had. As part of the healing process, I was told what to possibly expect, to keep the area moisturized, and covered for 3 days. Once he saw how many 4x4s I needed, I was given just enough extra gauze for the rest of the 3 days. That was absolutely appreciated! I paid my bill and scheduled my next appointment for the recommended 6 weeks after. On another note, part of my tat is a cover up and when we talked about pricing, I was told that the coverup would probably take a session or more to come off. It was then mentioned that if the rest of my tattoo was already done and the coverup still needed work, then I would get the following treatments at a prorated price rather than the full price. Some background info- three years ago (you can see on previous reviews of mine) i was given a TERRIBLE tattoo by a local shop in Austin. I was devastated by the quality of this thing from the day after I got it. As soon as I could start removal process i did. I went to a shop that did a good job helping me with my removal but wanted to try Clean Slate out since they were closer to my home. I never kept up with the removal bc i was always so upset by how my arm felt after the actual session, usually it would be super sore. I went into Clean Slate expecting the same, but was proved totally, and happily wrong. it BARELY felt like anything. Decades ago I got a scorpion tattoo as a tribute to the Scorpions. Anytime someone would see it they'd ask, "are you a scorpio" (which i'm not). Never liked the tattoo so decided to get rid of it. Came to Clean Slate due to the great reviews and, I gotta say, I do not regret it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, they answer any questions, they make you feel comfortable. First, I want to make clean the guy we dealt with was SUPER SUPER nice. My only issue was that the ink did not come off as stated it would. We have now moved and will have to find someone else to finish the job. We were told that it would come off and toward the end paid extra... some sort of cream.. not sure what I would call this process. Either way, they are faded ..yeahhhh... but, they are still noticeable. No doubt if I was local they would work with us some more but we are not. read more

I just finished my second session with clean slate, it went wonderful! This is such a professional business, he explains everything and how to care for your body during the removal process. When I decided to start removing my tattoo I was concerned it would be more painful than when I got it done (like everyone says) but that is NOT the case. They numb the area before hand and it helps a ton! It only takes minutes with the laser. I have a good size tattoo and it took under ten minutes for each session. The process takes a few weeks to see results but it is amazing watching the transformation. They do pictures before and after to show u and keep track of the progress!
