It's convenient and if ever confusing, the workers will help you through the process and explain. If you have oversized laundry like rugs, pillows, car covers, comforters, mattress toppers, curtains, etc that may not fit in your washing machine, they have heavy duty large capacity machines here that cost in the $4-10 range for a wash. The facilities are well lit, spacious and clean. Parking is always fairly easy and they open 'til 10pm. read more

Where do start. I came here cause I needed a larger washer/dryer for my mattress pad and comforter I couldn't wash at home. They are in the process of a complete remodel, but they are open during the process. Considering the amount of work being done, it is still extremely clean. They had tile down in 1/3 or the floor and the rest was torn out and ready for new. The machines either are brand new or very well maintained cause they look brand new. Brand new paint on the ceilings, new large ceiling fans, lights and lots of security cameras monitoring which makes me feel like I'd feel secure even if I came at night. A guy was putting together more carts, people working in remodeling a side office area and misc parts of the room and a lady wiping all the machines down. They were all very helpful when I needed help. I dripped water from the washer to the dryer because of my large comforters and before I had a chance to tell the lady working there, she had already followed me drying the floor, very on top of things! There is a huge variety of washer sizes and looks like pricing goes from $3 for smaller washers to $9 for the jumbo one. 2 sizes of dryers, 25¢ for 7 mins for the smaller (which is huge) and 25¢ for 4min for the larger (which is huge-r, like human sized). There is a coin machine and looks like you can buy detergent too. Lots of carts around and again, a guy was putting together more as I walked in. There are large areas of counters if you want to fold your clothes and even USB phone plugs too. I'm assuming all the lower old reviews are from old management from what I read. I'd definitely come back to this place! I wonder what other nice things will come together when the reno is done. read more

Stopped in to wash duvets and a mattress pad which needed a large capacity washer and dryer to do the job. The female attendant, Marilyn, was very helpful in showing us which machines to use and how to use them. Note that you need to get a card from the attendant if you don't already have one. Then use a machine which takes cash only to load an amount. This card is then used to operate the machines. There's no refund on any unused money on the card. We spent about $15 to wash and thoroughly dry 3 large items. read more

This is far and away the cleanest and most up-to-date coin laundromat I have ever visited. Recent improvements include brand new machines (I count 36 standard washers and 10 over-sized washers), fresh new tile floors, and a spotless bathroom. You'll pay $3 a load to wash and 25 cents every 7 minutes to dry, all with a tap or swipe of a card, or coins. After frantically searching for a laundry mat - I'm so glad I checked Yelp and found this place! First off the place is CLEAN as everyone else had mentioned. You don't need coins here, just bring cash - they have a machine that dispenses these cards that you can load with money and swipe on the washer/dryer. Here's a BIG tip, only swipe your card ONCE. If you keep swiping it thinking the machine is broken it will continue to deduct the money from card.It was frustrating but the attendant that was there , Cella/Shella(?) was super sweet and helpful since it was my first time. A few of the machine were broken though. I went on a Monday morning so there was only a few people there but I imagine later in the day or weekends to be crazy busy. I have no idea how long those machines were broken but it looks like the sticker has been on it for a while as they look pretty worn/old. read more

I have laundry/dryer capabilities at my apartment but chose to sell them to come to this laundromat because I have fallen in love with their high capacity machines and I can tackle 7-9 loads of laundry - wash and dry - in 60 min or so. The alternative was a load or two a night and always feeling like there is laundry to do or fold. By doing it all in one day I get the satisfaction of knowing that for an hour or two there is no laundry and I don't have to do it for at least another week. The staff is always nice and I've never not been able to get machines (I usually go in the evenings) except I did stumble upon the free Wash Wednesday (last one of the month) and there literally was a line out the door. I simply chose to return another day. The customers are a good crowd and they always have a ton of magazines to read or TV to watch. Great break from the rest of my life to hang out and chill. The attendant was very fun and helpful (she called herself the "Laundry Whisperer", and helped me after using a bit too much soap). Also met a couple of Regulars, who were also helpful and freely offered their bona fide washing tips. Lots of machines, and easy to use with their card reader system. I was fed up with my onsite washer and dryer in my apartment complex. I thought I would try a laundromat instead. - This place is great! The staff here is super kind and helpful. - The space is very clean and not gross looking like others in the area. I saw a staff member dust mop the entire place at least twice in the 1.5 hours I was there. - The machines were also clean and worked. I would say I paid about the same as my normal onsite. It was worth it to come here and know my clothes are actually getting cleaned properly and to be able to knock out a larger of load of laundry in less time. Prices went up!! It went from $1.25 to $1.50 to now $2.00! The new machines releases less water, but the clothes doesn't get really washed in water. After my load was done, I felt that my clothes were dry washed. The old washers stinks like mildew, and they usually are mildew stuck at the edge. If you look up underneath where you put the laundry detergent, its mildew, and black soap scummed. Very Disgusting! When they did the maintenance upgrade, they really should clean their old smelly washers too! :-( read more

Let's see... huge washers that you can do 1 massive load of wash for 6 bucks, or a small massive one for 4.25, then the usual for 1.25. Or the mega washer for blankets, never used it. A quarter for each 10 minutes, which I do 3. I think the selling point is the people watching. This one guy sprayed the dryer with AXE body spray so his clothes smelt like date rape. Let me start of by saying most of the staff here are very nice and helpful. I used to come here all the time before I had a washer dryer and It was always pleasant. The washer and dryers are always broken and the cards take finessing to pay, not to mention there have been a couple times the washer or dryer have ruined clothes. I use this spot for one thing my bedding. They have huge washer which are $5.00 dollars to use. I put two comforters, two other blankets big enough for someone 6 foot, a sheet and pillow cases into 1 washer. They even have a BIGGER unit. What you would need that for who knows. No joke you could wash almost every article of clothing you own and once. QUICK & DONE. The machines can be a little tricky to use. They take a credit card looking thing that machines inside of this spot use. It is actually easy once you an employee runs you thru it. This spot has a large pizza delivery poster on wall if you plan on being there for a bit. They have arcade games in the corner that seem pretty modern (sit down race car game). Two thing I know for sure 1) I'm not going to remember how to use the equipment or card readers 2) Marilyn is going to make me feel like I'm the best customer ever and will escort me through the process (not complicated, it's just me). The good: Large selection of machines, the nice lady Chella on Friday nights will tell you which machines are best, have always found a washer, you use a card instead of having to fumble with quarters, and there are machines of different sizes if you have huge loads or want to take a spin bath : ) The bad: The insides of where the soap and stuff go are really gross, they close at 10 pm instead of 11 like they used to. This is a pretty decent laundromat. There are a lot of dirty places out there. This is clean. Yes a lot if the machines don't work. I am sure they will fix them. I love the large 4 something ones. They handle thick rugs that you can't put in a smaller home machine. And great for bedding too. The attendants are very helpful. They help too if the card messes up and doesn't credit you for enough dryer time. I have had to tell them about this. They do have a TV restroom for free and some things for kids. It's in a nice area. I used to live near there many years ago. I guess I'll keep coming here since the others are usually more money. read more

This place is close to my house & I've been coming here a while, but literally half of the machine don't work or don't work well. Some of them won't dispense softener, other won't dispense bleach - the trouble is that it's a crapshoot as to what issues each machine has - even the NEW ones. I was very sad when, in February, I rolled in for my bi-weekly laundry session and found that they were closed for the entire month to update their systems. Two laundry sessions anywhere else felt so odd and alienating as this has basically become my laundry home. I know this is somewhere I can roll into and roll out without much hassle. Since they've reopened, I've been very confused to find that many of the machines that were down were still down or gone altogether and not yet replaced. Additionally, there were newer, spiffier machines on one end, but they only took quarters; this from a place that I also loved because of their laundry cards that spared me from carrying bags of quarters around. I've heard that in Silverlake there is a laundromat with tons of hot, young, single hipsters and a Starbucks. So, besides that place, I'm gonna say Clean Scene is the best laundromat around. The last time I did my laundry here I left an entire load in one of the dryers. This load included: my favorite tank top, my favorite black pants, one of my pillowcases, and some very cute underwear. I got home--after Clean Scene was closed--and I was so sad. That's the last I will ever see of my favorite skivvies, right? Wrong! I called the next day and they had saved my stuff in a sealed plastic bag, waiting for me to pick it up. Yay! The staff there is so professional and patient, especially if you're trying to figure out new concepts such as bleach for the first time in your life. They were also very pleasant on the phone. It's pretty cheap to come here, and you put your money on one of those card things, which makes it easy. This place is located fairly well on Artesia. There's a pizza by the slice place a couple doors down. Alberson's is just a few blocks away for grocery and pharmacy needs. There is also a cool little dive bar across the street with a couple of pool tables. The laundry mat itself has a few arcade games and has a restroom available to the public. Well I'm not going to waste any more time than necessary on this review but felt compelled to help save anyone have the nightmare experience's I have had the last two visits. I have been using this place 3 years... no problem the first two years aside from the chain smokers outside the door which is a pet peeve when your folding your freshly cleaned clothes... but it's America so smoke away. Also made the mistake of not staring at my drying in the machine as some thief stole my lovely hand towels and nice T shirts that you can't buy in America... so make a note. Thieves hang out in this place.... 3 weeks ago I brought my laundry in, placed my whites in a machine, half the machines are "out of order" and the good ones have post it notes with "hold" on them which is obviously so that the fluff and fold and laundry "mafia" can have the machines that work fine and lowly customers like myself can enjoy the pot luck of the useless machines that make up the rest of this sham of a laundromat. Sadly I got one of the really bad ones. $150 of clothes ruined with grease stains and amazingly my clothes went in worn and came out filthy with permanent damage, my color clothes were ruined with bleach rammed in the wrong compartment by some idiot and trust me I have now learned there are plenty of idiots in this hole. I called the business owners and never even got a reply. Burn me once shame on you.... Burn me twice shame on me... What a shame indeed. Due to the proximity to my house I decided, surely nothing can go wrong this time, well how wrong am I. I get there at noon, sort my laundry, put my whites in, lady tells me only use cold.... What kind of laundromat demands you only use cold water... I tell you what kind, a useless laundromat.... put my stuff in, pay $1.50 on goes the machine, suddenly 6 people are asking why their machines have no water? Turns out the owner is doing some repairs and shuts the water off.... I own my own business, maybe the moron that owns this business could do his repairs on his dime and time and not mine and maybe he could have the manners to tell his patrons that he's shutting the water off while we are using the machines..... Then it gets better.... I am not happy and let it be known.... seems like this might be the only laundromat where the customer is there to serve the business, I ask for my money back from the machine and to be reimbursed for the other $6.50 on my card that I put on. I was told "No" you can have $6.... these 'bleeps' round it down by 50c and charge me for using a machine that doesn't work and then get this.... I wait an hour before they release my laundry after everyone else gets theirs in 5 minutes.... These 'bleeps' are trying to teach me a lesson about not complaining.... Then I'm given a hard time because of my accent, with nasty racist comments about me being Australian and compared to Mel Gibson when I corrected these scumbags I was English, I also asked would you have a problem if I was black, what would you call me then..... I told the owner to stick the $2 up his arse and then went down to Suds and Duds on Aviation and Manhattan Beach Blvd..... I got home at 5 pm. The one thing that was more shocking than the arrogance, disrespect, sheer downright lack of courtesy for others and my time and to top it not one "sorry about the inconvenience was offered" not one measly apology... I believe I even heard everyone to leave like we were all marines or possibly schoolkids. Probably the most disgusting lack of customer service I have ever seen and like I said my business has a 5 star rating and I pride myself on putting my customers first. The Clean Scene is quite simply and utterly a disgrace. They don't deserve a star they deserve a good kick up their backside. Avoid at all costs or you will be left fuming. read more

I don't ask too much from a laudromat. I just ask that you have operating machines, a clean property and don't touch my stuff. Couldn't find my stuff in the washing machine when it was done and was told by the employee that she took it out because she needed the machine for someone else. It was placed in a nearby hamper. There appeared to be plenty of empty machines... not sure why there was an urgency to take my stuff out. I was so irked I decided to just take my stuff to dry at home. read more

I had the good fortune to find this laundromat when our washer at home broke. For a laundromat, this place is so great, I may even return when our washer gets fixed! Open late, til 10pm daily. There is always a service person there, very nice and willing to help with change. The price is very cheap...only $1.50 for washer and .25 for 10mins to dry...mine dry in 30 minutes so that's about .75 to dry. You get this card to use that gives you $5.00 free once you spend $20.00 there. Plus there is an internet kiosk if you are bored. While I am waiting, I go to the pizza place next door, a slice is less than $2.00 and the liquor store has great frozen yogurt. read more

Love this place Attendants are awesome, I like Tha fact that there is an attendant there to help you and to fix any issues that may occur while you are there.
