Can't contact anyone. I tried to find a contact for this company as they installed the solar panel system at my house.

The worst company and people!! They are scammers! They will consistently communicate and act like they are gonna help you then take the check from the insurance company and ghost you! read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Still waiting for a call back after months and months of trying to get a hold of someone. I leave messages, no one calls back. I text the rep that helped me in the beginning, no response. PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Do your research. Call the Better Business Bureau and check contractor's license before you make a decision. read more

I have had solar from Clean Initiative for 5 years and despite promising annual servicing and cleaning, they have never reached out to do this. Secondly, the service in my sim card went out after 2 years and I had to figure out myself how to get it to connect to WiFi. Now after tracking my usage I realize my panels are only producing 78% of what they used to. Calling their phone number always gives a busy tone and their support email just bounces. Stay away from these guys. read more

POOR SERVICE. We have had our solar panels for years and no service has been provided. Tried calling the number there is no answer just a darn busy signal. I just received a SCE settlement payment bill from 9/11/24 - 9/26/25 at 560.00 because the panels are not producing enough energy. Also we were promised a generator which we never got. This is RIDICULOUS!!!! read more

worst worst company they scammed my father, they got our insurance money and never did anything to our roof !!! beware

About a year later and my solar production is not matching what the city is reporting. I have a video from my doorbell camera of Sean ensuring he would assist with any issues post installation but they have been going no contact. Text messages are showing when they went no contact last year and emails are this month. I am paying more than prior to solar. Please save yourself the trouble and work with better companies! read more

I'd rate it a zero if I could. We've been waiting for our deposit to be refunded for months. Non-responsive to customer needs and requests. Not recommended. read more

Review commenting on beginning interaction with consultation. Ultimately personal decision not to go solar had no ill reflection on company. Received solar consultation with Sean for GAF Timberline solar shingle product this past month. He was humble in presenting facts and did not have over aggressive sales vibe. Sean was thorough on presenting the cost benefit of going solar and differences in solar roof shingle instead of traditional solar panels. He responded to laundry list of follow up questions within 6-24 hours including weekends. Also Sean sent a follow up 5-7 days after last contact to ask any further questions to help. I did not get the pushy sales feeling so able to objectively decide on the product and took my time on decision. Unfortunately the numbers did not work for me and did not start contract. read more

Do not use this company. I have called for the last two weeks on almost daily basis to get a technician out to resolve my solar panels error code, but I have not been able to talk to a single person. All the phone calls go to voicemail and emails are not returned. I've left more than 5 voicemails with none of them returned. I even called the manufacturer and they said they need the installer to go to the site and call them to resolve the error code and there's nothing I can do. This is ridiculous way of doing business. I'm paying for my electricity as well as the solar panel lease. what was the point of this, it doubled my expenses. I'm in the process of finding legal representation. read more

They don't call you back, after they get paid they disappear and ghost you. DO NOT BE FOOLED. I completely 100% regret going with this company. I will be seeking legal action. read more

My firsthand experience with Representatives from this company came unsolicited to my front door. Honestly thought that they were casing my house. They tried to make it sound and look like they were from so cal Edison by wearing sce colors as well as their marketing materials. Who still sends people door to door selling services? Very unsettling in dealing with their business approach. read more

I tried to contact them in every way but they never answered me, I need them to replace the inverter but there is no way to contact them

They are just the worst! They lie about progress, tell you something is complete when it's not. Take months to get electric panel for the new solar panels up & running. City has left multiple notices about Clean Initiative not showing up for inspections. Good luck getting to speak with someone!!!! You can only leave voicemails and they will not call back, they will only text you back. I've asked for the name of who I'm texting with, and they refused to even give it. I got to the point that they wouldn't even reply to text messages anymore either. Simply one of the most untrustworthy companies that I have ever dealt with in my life!!! Never ever even consider using this company!! You will only have regret and heartache, and a job unfinished for months !! read more

Clean Initiate Solar installed the solar system at my house. I have an issue where the house battery doesn't power the house when the grid power goes down, even though the house battery is charged. The first time I called in, someone answered, and they responded with "we'll check some diagnostics and call you back in 10 minutes." They never called, and that was about 3 months ago. I've called them and left messages, and emailed, a total of about 20-30 times. They have not answered or respond since the first "we'll get back to you." I will be filing this review in as many forums I can, and with the Better Business Bureau, as a warning to other potential customers. Update: after posting the review above several places, Clean Initiative immediately reached out, sent out a service tech, and fixed the problem. I'm going with 4/5 stars because there still appears to be no way to reach customer service without going to such drastic lengths, but now I'm happy with the solar installation. read more

Complete rip off! Cannot get a hold of anyone from this business! Getting screwed by SCE at the end of each year and now cannot contact anyone from this place. I think they went out of business?! Would give it zero stars if I could. Now I have to hire another solar panel company to come and see what went wrong. read more

I've been looking for an honest solar company and was mostly reached out by Home Depot or Costco. I came across Clean Initiative and met up with Sean. He explained thoroughly the differences between releasing and buying and helped make my decision easier. I signed up with him the same day for both my house and my mum. I'm happy with the result. They were quickly came to my place all the way in Irvine. Work with Edison to get my electrical panel approved in dealing with association. They make the process super easy and ease some of the extra costs that we additionally to the installation. We ran into some delays but it wasn't their fault. It was mostly due to Edison and rainy season. They also helped install my Tesla wall charger at no cost. I would recommend Clean Initiative to anyone. Great work, amazing team collaboration, and very customer friendly. read more

I had Solar Panels Installed by this company a year ago. It has been by far the worst experience dealing with them. I have called time, after time, after time and I never get a call back. We payed the panels in FULL and there has never been a follow up courtesy call to see if any problems. I would NOT recommend this company even if it was the last company on earth. The salesman "Daniel" came into our home selling us himself and the company and yet, it was just a show to have us make business with them. Not only that, but every staff we dealt with even told us that the company was short staffed and had no one to call clients back. Do your research and look at other company...because rest assure....this company gets an F- in my opinion. read more

These people are criminals. We started this process a year ago, are now paying the bills and panels are still not active. Run. Slam the door on their faces like they're not even people. They are the absolute worst. Looking into legal action as I just got another electric bill from a very hot summer. These people are trash. Go with anyone else. read more

Wasted an year, didn't do the project, and the finance company started charging me when the project beginning was 5 months away (after they were already late by 5 months). They were gonna do the project with GAF and Mosaic. Cancellation of the project became a bigger headache. read more

Want thank you to Andrew Rodriguez from clean initiative. Just passed eligibility. Can't wait to get my panels installed! Andrew was very knowledgeable and very informative during the presentation. Sold me halfway through his presentation but I let him finish hahaha. Absolutely recommend this company.!!! For everything. Even got a whole gas fan with the package! If you have a preference on who you wanna go with, I highly recommend this rep, very thorough and very honest. And the price was very affordable. read more

Ugh!! I'll start by saying someone forged my signature.. they did a shitty job! No one would return my calls, including the owner.. after getting a new roof and solar panels, our roof leaked during all the rain we had and all the water went in my new bathroom that was just remodeled. It was repaired several months after continuous calls. My house stunk like mildew. Currently seeking legal advice. read more

Clean Initiative Solar has been incredible! Install was completed in just a couple weeks after signing the purchase agreement. The install process was great too. We got a large panel system that took a LOT of work to install on our very old house. Mark and the rest of the crew were clean and communicative while they worked. They gave advance notice when the power would be off, and made sure to get our approval on where wires/ boxes would be installed and routed before starting the work. Very impressed all around, but especially with the speed, cleanliness and quality of the solar panels. read more

I recently contacted Clean Initiative Solar for an estimate on a project at my residence. They responded promptly and were extremely professional. I used Solar Initiative previously for my Solar Panel project and I was extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. We will continue to use them for future projects. Thank you Mark keeping in touch and alerting me know the process. read more

If i can give a negative 100 for customer service i would. Do not use this company for anything. After they do the job and get paid, They won't help you with anything anymore. They're just there to get your money. Customer service is the worst. Does not show up for appointments, no communication at all. This company is not worth your money, move on to the next company you can find. This is my experience with this company I am so pissed right now. And this is the only way I can complain. read more

After getting solar installed from clean Initiative the regret began. The customer service is sadly lacking. The production of my solar is not what it should be, according to City of Pasadena. I was able to get one person on the phone who pointed me to "an app" I could download to track the solar production, never was told about it before. I have asked if someone can come out to make sure everything is working properly, after several emails and phone calls I have not received an answer to that request. We tried to discuss with someone in person but they closed their office in Pasadena and re-located to Riverside. A very bad experience and I cannot recommend them. read more

I signed up in March 2023 and have been paying for solar panels that I'm still waiting to get activated. The sales rep has responded and directed me to different people who either don't respond, don't answer or don't help. They now told me they are coming out to upgrade my panels. Why? They are new, have never been used and we're waiting for Edison to come inspect and activate them. It doesn't make any sense. Looks like Clean Initiative is scrambling to make it look like they are doing something about this. Regret doesn't begin to describe my feelings. They keep putting the blame on Edison. I tried calling Clean Initiative 833-446-2532 which is no longer in service. We're now in December and I am paying for an Edison bill and solar panels that don't even work. I don't recommend this company and should have gone with a better company. I will update my review when I see what happens. Do your research and go with a known company. Don't let them sell you promises they don't keep. read more

I was impressed with Malik's professionalism and customer service from the first time we met. He took the time to basically educate me on what he recommended for my home needs. I knew nothing about improvements or saving money & the planet. I fully understand now & feel confident. He respectfully answered my questions and all my concerns. Malik wasn't pushy. I made an educated decision about my services, while honoring both of my long time goals of saving money & the planet. Malik is respectful all the time. His passion for is career is stellar. I recommend Malik and this company. read more

Beware of these Pushy sales people going door to door. All they care about is getting you to prequalify for a loan. We heard the sales pitch and did the "soft pull" credit check, they pre approved me for a 100K loan and wanted me to sign a contract on the spot. I immediately said no and asked them time to review. I did some simple research and found other companies who were charging half the cost. After they came back again to follow up I let them know I decided to go with another company the sales rep looked visibility upset and was still trying to sell me even though I had politely declined, to the point I had to ask them to leave. These guys are going door to door selling loans and probably care less about the environment to be honest. read more

Stay away from this company, terrible work! Over two year and the work never completed. Also a lean was put on my home and they are hard to get in touch with. read more

If I could give this business zero stars, I would. Installing solar with this company has been an overly long and extremely painful process. It has taken over 18+ months, and at every step, I have had to intervene to make sure that things are being processed, paperwork has been submitted, inspections are being called for. It has taken way to much of my time, and now that we are down to the last city inspection for the solar battery, the company has been utterly unresponsive. Since March 2024. This is holding up our entire renovation project and we can't get our overall building permit finaled. Without this, we cannot rent our newly built ADU, which is not actually connected to the Clean Initiative solar system. STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS! read more

They charge your insurance company a lot of money and do nothing to deserve it. Difficult to reach them .

Sam came to our home to discuss our interest in an initial meeting to learn more about solar panels. He was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Clean Initiative came to me after the big wind storm in 2022 damaged my roof said they could get my roof repaired at no cost. They said they have lawers and meteorologists and guaranteed me they would win a lawsuit against my Insurance company. So my insurance company sent a person out to inspect and said there was nothing wrong and canceled me the following month. I had to get new insurance and my yearly rate went from $800 a year to $2800. Over the 2 years of waiting they kept telling me not to worry as my house was being damaged by all the rain. It 'll all be mitigated and will be repaired along with the roof they kept telling me.They ended up losing the lawsuit and now I'm paying and extra 2k a year for my new policy and still have a damaged roof and now damaged ceilings too. read more

Clean Initiative does not know how to conduct business in a professional manner. They took my insurance deductible payment telling me everything was ready to go. But in reality, they couldn't come to an agreement on the estimate to replace my roof with my insurance company. They then stopped all communication with myself and my insurance company. It has been 9 months and they refuse to return phone calls and emails from myself and my insurance about returning my deductible. DO NOT use this company, they are thief's! read more

Harrassment over the phone. Do not do business with them. They repeatedly call but will not give any information about their company, they just want all your information. read more

Clean Initiative is a scam. Yes, they install solar panels, but the panels do not do anything. I have paid higher electric bills in the three years I have had my panels than I did before. The way they explain the bills when they are trying to convince you to get solar is also completely inaccurate. They do not answer phone calls and emails to make sure everything is set up correctly. Do not hire this company. read more

well where do I start.. this company lies and sucks.. my contract says the monitor. service and repair my system for 20 years. recently I had a huge Edison bill only to find out from Edison I was producing no solar. called the company and was told I had a bad inverter so they replaced it. I wanted to know why I was not notified my system wasn't working only to find out I was lied to and no one but me would be monitoring this crap. it wouldn't be a big issue except I had no way to monitor them until it broke 3 years later.I have talked with two people who told me they were looking into it and now no one even ret my messages.. stay away from this half ass company because you will be sorr find a reputable company read more

HIGHlY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY Tried selling my parents solar panels, Hyundai brand, total of 23 panels. For 50K!! Absolutely horrible. My Folks tried canceling but the company was trying to use scare tactics on my parents, stating that they will take them to collections for whatever money that needs to be paid. Tried stating that permits were all already pulled. I contacted my friend who works in the solar business and he told me that my parents completely over paid, contacted the city and the city informed me that permits were never pulled. So they were telling my parents false information!! Sean was our sales rep, my mom is partially blind from when I so she was not able to read that contract, English event my dad's first language. My parents were completely taken advantage of! When I found out what my parents got into and I searched up the company and found how many reviews their were and how much of a scam this was, i absolutely shut it down! Sean was the sales rep and I highly do not recommend this company!! And do not be afraid of them. read more
