Unfortunately, I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with this cleaning company from beginning to end.
I specifically booked a move-out cleaning because I needed my unit to be thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next tenant. I was originally quoted around $120, but after the service I was charged approximately $200. I would have been willing to pay more if the quality of the work reflected the price, but unfortunately, it did not.
After the cleaning was completed, I found multiple areas that had not been properly cleaned. This was supposed to be a move-out cleaning, so I expected the unit to be left spotless and ready to hand over. Instead, I had to contact the company, explain everything that was missed, provide feedback, and spend additional time arranging for them to return and redo the work.
There was also a significant communication barrier during the service. The cleaners who came to my unit were not able to communicate with me in English, which made it extremely difficult for me to explain what needed attention or discuss concerns with them directly. I understand that not everyone speaks English fluently, and I have absolutely no issue with that personally, but if a company is sending a team that cannot communicate with the customer, there needs to be an effective system in place to support communication. Unfortunately, I did not feel that there was.
Communication with the team handling things online was also frustrating. I often felt that I had to repeatedly explain the situation rather than having someone take ownership of the problem and resolve it properly.
After I complained about the quality of the original cleaning, the company agreed to send the cleaners back. I appreciated being given an opportunity to have the work corrected, so I rearranged my Saturday afternoon and made a trip from downtown specifically to accommodate their return visit. I also had a scheduled showing/pickup at 4:00 PM, so timing was important.
I was expecting them around 3:00 PM, but I was later informed that their previous appointment had taken longer than expected and that they would arrive at approximately 3:45 PM. That left almost no time before my 4:00 PM commitment. Their response was that the arrival window was between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. While I understand that arrival windows exist, this was not a normal appointment -- this was a return visit because the original paid service had not been completed to an acceptable standard. I had already rearranged my schedule and travelled back to the unit specifically to give them an opportunity to correct their work.
At that point, the entire situation became overwhelming. What should have been one straightforward move-out cleaning turned into multiple conversations, complaints, additional travel, schedule changes, waiting around, and another unsuccessful attempt to get the situation resolved. Eventually, I had to hand the cleaners' contact information over to my landlord and ask him to take over the situation because I simply did not want to deal with it anymore.
This experience genuinely left me extremely stressed, frustrated, and upset. Moving is already stressful enough, and I hired a professional cleaning company specifically so that this would be one less thing for me to worry about. Instead, it became one of the most stressful parts of my move. I am genuinely sad that what should have been such a simple service turned into this experience.
I appreciate that the company responded to my complaints and offered to send the team back, but offering to correct a problem only helps if the correction is handled reliably and with consideration for the inconvenience that has already been caused.
Between the quality of the original cleaning, the difference between the initial quote and what I ultimately paid, the communication difficulties, the inconvenience of arranging a second visit, and the additional stress caused by the entire process, I unfortunately cannot recommend this company based on my experience. read more
