I have used them a half dozen times and they do a good job. The only thing negative was once when the girls were late. It wasn't that late, but I was on a tight schedule. When I mentioned it, one of the gals gave me a dumb excuse and some serious stink eye. But that was just one gal, the others were fine. The rest of the time it was five stars. The guy in the office who books the cleaners is excellent. I would hire Kirei again. read more

I've never had to write a negative review until now, but my recent experience with their move-out cleaning service and my subsequent attempt to address the issue with them were completely unacceptable. I feel compelled to share my experience. Based on my research prior to booking, I understood that professional move-out cleaning should encompass a thorough cleaning of every nook and cranny in your home or apartment. This typically includes sanitizing high-traffic surfaces in the bathrooms and kitchen, cleaning all windows, deep cleaning cabinets, drawers, countertops, and appliances. All with the end goal of smooth move-out inspection and transition. However, the cleaning team missed an entire cabinet, which was left in the same condition as when we vacated (see pic 1). They also neglected to clean the interior windows, the patio door, and even the balcony (see pic 2). These areas are considered accessible per strata bylaws therefore must be cleaned before moving out. We paid a premium for their carpet steam cleaning service, but the results were disappointing. Not only were there dust and dirt left in the corners of the room, but they were also visibly present on the front surface of the carpets (see pic 3). When we messaged them to raise this issue, their response was shockingly dismissive: "place in unlivable condition, 7 garbage bags, no touch-ups." They even attached a photo from their cleaning, apparently thinking it justified their poor job. It's important to note that their services were paid by the hour, not by the amount of garbage bags used throughout the cleaning -- which summed up to an excessive $600 + tips for 3 hours of cleaning. At the very least, they should consider removing the line "No matter the type of building or business, or size of the mess, we can help" from their website because apparently, handling 7 garbage bags for a move-out cleaning is beyond their capabilities. I also need to mention that they've left the garbage bags inside the unit -- and I was the one who at the end had to dispose of them myself. Lastly, all of these were contained in the kitchen area and by no means rendered the place unlivable. I've attached the picture they sent us when they referred to our place as "unlivable" (see pic 4), allowing you to judge for yourself if that's truly the case. Also, this issue has nothing to do with the poor steam carpet cleaning and their overall lack of attention to detail in other parts of the unit. We're absolutely displeased with their horrible communication and apparent lack of concern. In the end, we booked another cleaning company that did a far superior job at a fraction of the price, leaving us satisfied. For these reasons, I cannot, in good conscience, give them more than 1 star. We aren't happy. They've left us with more frustration than cleanliness, and my money would have been better spent elsewhere. read more

Got a move out service done from them recently but was disappointed by the level of service. They mostly cleaned the things that were in plain sight if you're doing a cursory scroll of the apartment but left lot of cobwebs and dust near the corners. Earlier, they mentioned it takes 3 hours but they came late and left little earlier. Wouldn't recommend them for move out unless your landlord have eyesight issues. read more

I used Kirei twice in the last 2 months to get a suite ready for viewing in preparation for sale and just last week to do a final move out clean Both times the cleaners were promptly on time, the manager confirmed appointments ahead of time and they were there on time. They were courteous, efficient and thorough - they did a good job. I asked specifically for the bathroom and the appliances (particularly the oven) to be given extra attention and they did so. Scheduled Kirei Cleaning for a move out cleaning, despite the agreed price, I received a call after the cleaning started asking for 1 more hour of cleaning which I have to pay. And after the cleaning, I could see the dust on the baseboard is not even touched, and the cleaners moved the burner but did not move them back to its original position. And all the blinds are not wiped at all, stains are clearly visible. It is obvious their cleaners are not experienced and does not understand how to carry out an move out clean. And later when my land lord came to check, she emailed me the whole list of unsatisfactory items, I quote here: I spend four hours cleaning the unit myself and the more I cleaned, the more I realized what a poor job your team did. At best, I would say that the unit received a "light" cleaning. This is a short list of some of the items I had to clean after your team had been through the unit: - Black dirt and particles all over the white bathroom floors - Dirt and grime around the bathroom sink and on the underside of the faucet. - Toddler fingerprints on the plastic venetian blinds that were easily cleaned off - Grime build-up on the hardwood floors, which look to have only been lightly swept - Oil and other food stains on the inside and outside of the kitchen cabinets - Food stains on the walls that were easily wiped off - Dirty backsplash in the kitchen - The light switches and plugs weren't wiped off for dust or fingerprints My landlord suggested me to get at least a partial refund for the poor job Kirei cleaning did, which I requested via email, and no response were given. With tip, I spent $422.10 for a move out clean with a bedroom carpet steam. It did not meet move-out standards with the property manager; I had to pay our landlord another $100 to have their own cleaner do touch-ups in order to hand back the keys. Property manager swiped her hand across the bedroom window sill and her hand was black with particulate. Here are some of the details that the landlord pointed out as unclean: the grates on top of the radiators; bathroom vent panel, underneath the microwave, spots on the roll-down blinds; tops of doorways; inner washer door aress (just the glass was cleaned). I made the assumption that the move out clean service checklist aligned with with industry expectations/standards. In hindsight, I wish I had an itemized list from the landlord to provide the cleaners to ensure that everything was addressed. I did call to enquire about a return visit for touch-ups but it was insinuated that it was my landlord being picky. This was the moment that I knew that having them back wasn't going to solve my problem. The deficiencies that the landlord showed me weren't 'plain sight' things but I can understand why her expectations were not met; upon closer inspection, the apartment was still dirty. Full disclosure, this clean happened during the extreme heat wave (thus my 20% tip). The two cleaners I met were very nice and had 32-degree tempaeratutes in which to work. I'm not sure if that was a factor in the results but I do feel like I paid too much for a 'move out' clean that required additional work. read more

I am just blown away with the service from Kirei cleaning! Booking was so easy with Julio and he broke the price down and explained the additional cleaning add ons available. It was so quick to organize. Upon checking the cleaning done by Karina and Ann, I was so HAPPY! The house was absolutely SPOTLESS. The whole kitchen and bathroom were sparkling clean. They even moved the appliances to vaccum under and around. Floors and carpets were cleaned so well. All the dust and finger prints from windows and ledges were taken care of. Julio was very kind and both Karina and Ann were so friendly and polite. They made sure to ask me to check everywhere and if anything still needed to be cleaned they would take care of it. The short: - tried their cleaning service once in Feb 2021, but will likely try another provider next time. - did a decent job (see below for details) with move-in cleaning of a 3-bedroom townhome in Coquitlam Note: this is the only house cleaning service I have used so I am not sure how they compare against other providers around this area. The long: - Julio (coordinator) was responsive and although curt, answered my questions. - cleaners (Jannette & Darlyng) arrived on time - good covid measures: cleaners wore mask and maintained physical distancing Reasons for not providing 5-stars: - cleaned some areas well (e.g., inside of kitchen appliances, floors, bathrooms), but some areas were not touched (e.g., baseboards, walls, sides of appliances, tops of cabinet, closet shelves, doors), and some areas were cleaned poorly (e.g., blinds). - the cleaners did not suggest a walk-through/review after their cleaning and directly asked for payment. They agreed to do a walk-through after I insisted and that is when I found out some of the areas that were and were not/poorly cleaned. I believe they underestimated the service time and were in a rush towards the end, so I discovered additional areas that were not/poorly cleaned after they left. Ideally, I would have communicated this experience to the company immediately after my service but I could not manage time from my other moving-in activities. - communication was challenging as one of the cleaners did not speak English and the other spoke very limited English. - one of the cleaners was on her phone the whole time. I do not have any issue with that but I wonder if that was a contributing factor to the poor quality of her work. - did not have a cleaning checklist (which other companies in this area provided). Have not used their services but I wasn't impressed with their quote. I asked for a quote on end of lease cleaning and they quoted $35-40 p/hr PLUS EXTRA for things like inside appliance cleaning, inside cupboard cleaning, etc. If that stuff costs extra then what's included in the end of lease cleaning? How is it different from a standard clean? It should be CHEAPER than a standard clean since you don't have any furniture to work around or it should be MORE EXPENSIVE than a standard clean with all those extras included- the things that obviously are the whole point of end of lease cleaning. It should not be MORE EXPENSIVE than a standard clean PLUS extra to do the standard things expected with an end of lease cleaning. Got a better deal elsewhere. read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews unless I truly have to. I hired this company on two occasions for the month of January. They charge $80 an hour and give you an estimate. Moving out of my old apartment while I was packing, I asked for help with my kitchen which was already mostly done. the individuals who came did not speak English nor trained either. As a result we could not communicate and the amount of time that it took me to explain what needed to be done and how it needed to be done was frustrating and a waste of time as in the end a total of half an hour work was accomplished. I still paid them for the minimum two hours. They were both very nice people and it wasn't their fault that they were not trained. they were sent on a job where communication was necessary. When I called to speak to the manager she said she did not know what had happened but that I would get a very serious team for my move out cleaning. I was given an estimate of three hours maximum for cleaning my apartment. The starting time was 9 o'clock the team arrived half an hour late and started 15 minutes later. At some point they had to go and move their car as it was being towed which took another few minutes. One of them was a very serious worker who cleaned the kitchen. The other person cleaned my living room and the bedrooms. They were done by 12:30 But I was billed from 9 to 2 PM for $450! The strata would have charged $300 for cleaning. The arriving late and moving their car, etc were all considered and counted into my bill. Not only they had not washed the floors nor wiped the doors which I had to do. All the dirt was pushed to the sides and the corners. The same with the bathroom floors and the windows. So the next day before handing over my keys, I had to go early in the morning and clean the apartment myself. What I find about this company is that they're taking on new people pairing them with experienced people without any training. The reviews were deceiving on yelp so were the promises. Not honest in their estimate nor hours of work. Unfortunately I do not and can NOT recommend them at all. read more

I was very disappointed with my move out service with Kirei. They quoted me 3 hours. When I returned after 3 hours, it looked like the place was barely touched. They came back the next day and after 2 hours it STILL looked the same. We asked them to leave after that as we didn't want to pay any more. The initial $180 that we were quoted quickly ran over $350. Plus we now have to come back and finish cleaning the place on own. After a stressful and expensive move, this was supposed to help make our easier. Update from owners comment: My husband and I were indeed customers of Kirei in Oct. 2018. I see they are leaving this comment on every bad review to try and redeem their image. After the service was provided, we never once got an apology and instead were insulted by management saying our place was a disaster. I see nothing has changed. read more

The prices were reasonable considering all the work they were going to do. the service was professional, thorough and a very pleasant experience overall. Julio was my main point of contact and kept me well informed through out the process. From time estimates to rates, they were very upfront about everything. As an additional step, when I had my move out inspection - the building manager noticed one area that was missed - and upon notifying them, they promptly sent their team over to fix it ! My apartment was gleaming by the end of it :) I paid a little extra to have my appliances cleaned too and they did a great job with that too. Very very pleased with the overall service and work. It started with an inquiry through their website, which turned into text messages, which then led to a phone call. The call went well. Jocelyn was very polite and easy to work with over the phone. An estimate was quoted, to which I agreed. We set an exact time and date, which I repeated over the phone, after which I texted over my home address and all other details they requested to have. They never showed up. I texted them 15 minutes after the agreed-upon time and didn't receive a reply. I had to leave for work so I texted again 20 minutes later saying we needed to reschedule. We initially were very happy with Kirei so when they asked us to review for a discount on our next cleaning we happily did so. After a few years we noticed that the cleaning was no longer at the level we had come to expect. We had to text a few times to let them know that there were stains not cleaned up or our hardwood floors would have a lot of dust still on them. But this last time was absolutely the worst cleaning, if you can call it that. The toilet in our main bathroom had visible stains and drops on the seat, the bowl was obviously not cleaned. Faucets weren't even wiped, including kitchen faucet and sink. When my wife wiped the bathroom floor with a rag it was apparent that had not been cleaned either. The hardwood floor in the main living area did not look clean with lots of dirt and dust. We contacted Julio who did not respond, we contacted him again after 3 days. The text we got back was to refund half our money and tell us they were no longer taking residential clients so would no longer be able to clean our condo. No apology or explanation. Bizarre response. After looking through some of the negative reviews here I am sure that Julio will either respond by telling us we aren't clients or by saying see this is what we have to deal with. My response would be I have the text to prove we are clients and the photos, and exactly when did it become ok to get paid for a job, not do that job and then complain when the person who hired you calls you out for not doing your job? We've already hired another company and wonder why we waited so long. Update : And as predicted within 5 minutes of this review being posted Julio responded. First they sent 2 non-English speaking clearness who didn't understand what they need to do. Then they used the same rag for different surfaces and treated them in the same procedure (vacuum, wipe once). When they called me to return, the ventilation fans in the bathrooms were still full of dust, many areas from top and sides of appliances to beams and lightings were untouched with layers of dust. A deep moving in cleaning was ordered but after 3 hrs by 2 cleaners, my place was dirty and dusty. Floor tiles and shower doors have never been attempted to be scrubbed, just wiped/mopped once, not worked on by the standard of deep clean as promised. When asked to follow up, company simply ignored and was unresponsive even after sending photos of areas with dirt and grimes. Unprofessional unethical cleaning service, never hire Kirei, waste of time and money, I need to deep clean my condo myself all over again after paying for 3 hrs of deep clean moving in service, my place was not anywhere close to move in condition, which has drastically delayed my move in!!!!! Extremely frustrating, disappointed with Kirei, worst ever experience hiring this company!!!!!!!!! read more

DO NOT use this company. They changed our scheduled time repeatedly, added time then added another person ! We were charged at least 1/3 more than originally intended. Why should you NOT USE this company ? The cleaning job was incredibly poor. It was an empty townhouse, should have been quick and easy but they did 'lengthy and bad'. To top off why you SHOULD NOT USE them, the owner was non-responsive to our requests to discuss our complaints. The owner then text harassed us for payment. Sent 24 texts over 2 days demanding immediate payment, including a threat that he was coming to our place to collect. This was very worrying harassment, especially as my wife is at home during the day with the kids. I can deal with a dispute over quality of work, these things happen, but to harass customers is unacceptable. Payment was made an the owner states that we did not make it. Did I mention to NOT USE THIS COMPANY ? Any positive reviews of this company have to be from friends, family or with a different company. No way it was the same one. read more

The 3 cleaners arrived at my door 30mins late. They said they couldn't find my place and couldn't find a place to park but there are street parking a block away. They cleaned my 1800sft empty townhouse from 9:30am to 1pm and charged me from 9am to 1pm which would have been fine if they did a decent job. The obvious things are as follows: none of the doors were wiped down, the banisters were also untouched, the cabinets of at least one of bathrooms cabinets were not cleaned. All the blinds are still dusty. I left them to clean the whole time and when I walked back into the house, 2 of them were playing on their phones. I honestly don't think there are any cleaners that could have done a worse job than these cleaners esp. for $410 not incl tax and tips. Not recommended! Do not waste your time and money! read more
