We've been using Clean Air for a little over two months now, and I couldn't be happier. We initially hired them to do flowerbed cleanup and mulching in our yard, and they went above what we asked for at a reasonable price. We then brought them on to do our weekly lawn maintenance, and they have continued to do a stellar job. I've used a few lawn companies here in town, and Clean Air has been by far the best - they do a better job mowing than anybody else, and I quite like the fact that every piece of equipment they use is electric. If asked, I would recommend them without reservation to anybody that asks. read more

We used Jim's team for weekly lawn care for our home in Whisper Valley. The service was reliable, they did a great job, the price was reasonable, and all of their mowers and devices are battery powered and environmentally friendly. We wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

I have been using this service for a while now and from the first visit, I was very happy that Chris is now doing Clean Air Lawn Care. Apart from the obvious benefits of using a totally environmental lawn mowing service,Chris is so conscientious and hard working and reliable. My yard always looks great and she makes sure that everything is in order - not just the grass -but takes care of piles of leaves and anything else she sees that needs doing! I never felt good about hiring a gas guzzling lawn crew to work on my yard when I was too lazy to do it with my "reel - push" mower. I feel absolved now. Call her today - you will not be disappointed! read more

I am soooo pleased to be a customer of Clean Air Lawn care. This is one hard working lawn service. Best part....they've outfitted the vehicles with solar panels so the lawn mowers and weedeaters and blowers can all charge in between yards. All of their equipment is gasoline and oil free! I have used Clean Air Lawn Care for 2 years and my lawn really looks healthy. I don't water my yard and whatever grows....grows, so bermuda is what I've got. When I utilized a conventional mowing service in the past, my yard seemed different. There were big tracks from the lawn mower everywhere and oil/gas spots on my driveway and patios. This doesn't happen with Clean Air Lawn care. My yard seems to "know" the equipment is "cleaner and more eco-friendly." Chris has a really good thing going! I voted for her in the Austin Chronicle Best of..... Thanks Chris and Clean Air for providing me with a clean alternative for my yard maintenance! read more

We used Clean Air Lawn Care for a few months this summer after my fiancé broke his ankle and I didn't have time to mow the lawn myself. It's fairly large lot, about 10,000 sq feet, so it takes awhile to mow. When we first began the service, Luke was very responsive and would come every two weeks like clockwork. A month or so in, he started coming less frequently maybe every 2.5-3 weeks, and with no communication to tell us what was going on. I know rain and whatever can delay lawn work, and that's totally fine, as long as you tell us about it. Then we noticed him using a gas powered trimmer. Okay, the electric ones aren't always reliable, sure. Then we noticed him charging the batteries for his mower on our patio. Alright, we have a giant yard, the batteries probably don't last as long. Then he left the hose running in the front yard. Then he used a gas mower. Then he did the front yard and came back a week later to do the back yard. Finally this Friday it had been three weeks since we had last seen him, with no email or anything, I emailed him to cancel the service and get a refund for the payment I had just sent. He claimed he had planned to come out that day to do our yard and disagreed with me on the last date he had been out (we marked it on our calendar since it was becoming such an issue, as well as my fiancé having an email from him on the date), but didn't acknowledge the refund. I've since emailed him twice back with no response. We hired him because he seemed like a nice enough guy and the price was right. We weren't all that concerned about the 'green' aspect, but it was a nice added bonus. If he had just had to use gas equipment instead, it wouldn't've have been a deal breaker for us. However, the lack of communication and poor scheduling and general sloppiness was not what we were paying for. I'd recommend staying away. Now we just use an online service to request a contractor to come out whenever we need the lawn cut. Not as professional (seeming), but much more reliable. Edited to add - we did get our refund and once he acknowledged that we wanted one, it came very quickly. So there's that. read more

Our yard was in dire need of some TLC. The front was getting overrun with weeds and the back was completely submerged in them. I should have taken some photos to give a more accurate depiction but it was bad. Austin and Jesse were supposed to come Saturday but let me know they couldn't due to rain. Austin offered to come Sunday, which I know they never do. They did a great job in the yard but also in communication and scheduling. I finally found a yard care company I can trust! read more

Clean Air Lawn Care is fantastic! Jim provides efficient, quiet, and thorough lawn care at rates that compete very well with several other larger services I've used. He thoughtfully reschedules around the weather to prevent damaging wet grass. His service invoices are even payable using Apple Pay, which is makes it super-convenient. It's not just a "green" alternative to lawn service that I was originally looking for, Jim continues to provide the best lawn service out there, period! read more

1) Personal and conscientious service (not your typical mowing crew) 2) Truly environmently friendly its amazing 3) Surprise! I am sooo lucky I can't believe it because it isn't costing me a nickle more than the crew that had been doing it (in fact a saving a bit of cash) 4) I can ask for extra services with shrubs & leaves clean-up and know it will be handled perfectly... never wondering about it being done or how well. Bottom Line: I am very, very happy I switched to Clean Air Lawn Care. read more

Austin and team are awesome. They have always been reliable with great prices, and of course, green. I recommend them to everyone in the neighborhood. read more

If only other services companies were as great as these people - life would be so much easier. Chris and her crew come out and make my yard look amazing! They are there every time I am expecting them and the work is fantastic. It is really simple. I have a few yard projects coming up and they are going to help take care of them. The yard was a wreck after the drought and now it is looking pretty good. Clean Air - they are totally fabu! read more

My husband and I have been using Clean Air Lawn Care for over a year now. We switched over to them about a year ago from a large pest/lawn care service. We are so glad we switched! Chris and her team are a pleasure to work with and always do a great job. We can also rest assured that our dog is frolicking on clean grass with no pesticides. read more

Great service from Austin and his team at competitive prices. He even came back and did a complimentary supplemental overseed just to ensure his work succeeded. Our yard has improved with his care. read more

My whole yard (front and back) was a mess, and I mean a mess!! Weeds, fire ants, you name it. When I first called Chris she was very clear she was not going to be able to give an estimate until a week later, so I had to wait, now I know why.... If you have a hard time getting in touch with them, it's not because they don't care, they are probably just super busy; keep trying, they are totally worth the effort. These guys are AMAZING! My house looks amazing, I can't get enough compliments from my neighbors. I don't know how they did it, I was gonne for work in the morning and when I came back it simply looked like a total different house, yes, that good! Can't imagine working with anybody else. read more

I switched to Clean Air Lawn Care from my previous lawn care company and they do a MUCH better job! The cost is the same but their equipment is better for the environment (electric mowers with solar charging on the truck) and they are more careful, thorough, knowledgeable and caring. I'm very happy with their service and happily recommend them. read more

So annoyed that I have to write this update. Our regular mower from Clean Air Lawn Care stopped mowing our yard all of a sudden last summer. No text, no phone call...no response to my texts/calls either. Finally after several weeks he texted me back telling me he no longer works at Clean Air & to contact the manager for assistance. Calls and emails to the manager were never returned. Terrible customer service! read more

Yet another great job by Chris and her crew. We hired Clean Lawn Care to clean up our planting beds and put down new mulch. They did a fantastic job, the new mulch is very high quality and the beds look wonderful. read more

Austin turned our grass from brown, dead and stomped on into a lush bright green and healthy lawn. It was kind of a miracle. He's like a lawn whisperer. He also knows his way around plants and trees like a magician. All of this plus the awesomeness of knowing they're being kind to the earth with solar equipment - good stuff! read more

We moved to Austin last year and contacted Chris at Clean Air Lawn Care to mow our yard for us a few times until we got settled in to our new home. That was our first experience with her and we loved her! She does an amazing job. Our yard looked fantastic! So we are using Clean Air Lawn Care again this year (mowing and organic lawncare). Chris is extremely professional, knowledgeable, reliable and above all so very nice!! I would recommend Clean Air Lawn Care to anyone who wants fabulous and environmentally responsible lawn service!! read more

I loved the fact that it was eco-friendly and quiet mowing. However, all he knew was how to cut the lawn: 1. he used my outside electrical outlet to charge his dead batteries without asking. 2. could not pin him down to a specific mowing time each week 3. did OK job but I had to supervise the edging. 4. after 3 weeks he texted me he cannot make it on a designated day that he had a family emergency 5. never came back, never returned my calls or texts whether he is returning 6. totally ignored me as a customer. I guess he did not need my business, after 2 no shows I hired a replacement who is puntual and responds to my questions. read more

Jim was absolutely amazing! He was not only prompted with replies but also amazing at fitting me into his busy schedule! The lawn never looked better and Jim was so professional and courteous! Would recommend him over and over again!! read more

Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. All of their equipment is solar powered and gasoline free!

Chris came out after giving us an estimate on the yard. We were moving and needed the lawn and bushes taking care of. Wasnt quite sure what to expect since we have never used a lawncare service. I thought the estimate was a little high but this was because I did not know all the things CALC we going to do. They came out and made our yard look fabulous. Our bird bath was knocked over due to some high winds last summer and had not had a chance to fix it. Chris took care of it with out even asking us. OUTSTANDING job and would and will recommend to friends! read more

Reliable service, quiet equipment, no gas smells, and makes me feel good that I am helping keep Austin green. The owner is very friendly and really cares about providing a quality service. I am very pleased with them. read more

I have been thinking about hiring Clean Air Lawn Care and now that I have, why the heck did I wait so long? Finally, somebody who does a great job, communicates with me on all levels, runs a "green" business and exceeds my expectations. I am thrilled. Why would I ever use anyone else? HAPPY CUSTOMER! read more

Very disappointed in the service I received. It was a simple leaf cleanup and i had to call the guy back three times to actually pick up all the leaves, which he still never even did. He showed up in cutoff shorts and sandals on. That should've been my first clue. When I called him back the last time and told him there was still piles of leaves, he said he just would give me my money back. Ummm...dude, I just want you to blow and rake some friggin leaves. He wasted my day off. What a joke! read more

Clean Air Lawn Care has to be the best around! They have been taking care of our yard for years now. They are very reliable and they do a professional job. I have even asked them to do work for us while we were out of town so that I would come back to a beautiful yard. They will also do anything extra you ask them to. They are extremely courteous and trustworthy as well. I have recommended their service to so many friends and neighbors. Everyone I know has been very satisfied. Absolutely. read more

I'm pregnant, my husband has been ill the past few weeks and I had grass growing fast. I filled out their form and got a call back almost immediately. They said nate would come by the next week and he'd give me a call. The day came and went and the grass grew even higher. I ended up having to call another company who came when they said they would. I give more than 1 star only because of the call back, the majority of companies I asked a quote from didn't even do that. read more

I hired Clean Air Lawn Care after having a few less than ideal experiences with other companies who left my yard messy and/or weren't reliable. Chris at CALC is amazing. I signed on for a full summer of mows as well as the seasonal clean-up, and had her weed the jungle that had sprouted in my backyard. She was thorough in everything she did. What really sets her head and shoulders above the rest is that she actually communicates with her customers -- if it rained, or she'd bitten by a customer's dog and had to postpone, she always emailed me to let me know and to tell me when she'd come to make it up. One time recently, she came to my house to mow and found that the lawn's growth had slowed, so she said she'd come back the next week instead (rather than just mowing the too-short grass since she was already there). Now that is conscientious -- a rare quality! She always did a fabulous job, was friendly and pleasant, has fair prices, and, of course, is environmentally conscious. She even advised me on planting flowers and provided me with a booklet on native plants from the City of Austin. She is a gem, and I highly recommend her. read more
