I recently visited the dealership to inquire about the possibility of pre-ordering the 2024 ERay, which is a $100k car. I was directed to Oscar to assist me with my inquiry. Upon approaching Oscar, I politely asked when they would start taking orders for the ERay. After a brief pause, he stared at me for about 4 seconds, which was quite odd. Then, he slowly asked if I wanted one. Of course, I said yes, and he replied, "We don't have any." I was quite taken aback, as I had clearly mentioned that I was interested in a pre-order. I reiterated that I was looking for a pre-order, and he responded with a slow, unsure answer of "maybe in about 1 year."
Feeling a bit confused, I informed him that other dealerships were giving a timeline of 5 to 7 months for pre-orders, to which he shrugged and simply replied, "Yeah." I stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, waiting for him to ask for my information, but he did not. So, I thanked him and left.
I am not entirely sure what his issue was, but this experience has left me with some doubts about their customer service. I have owned 4 Fords in the past and have never experienced such behavior from their dealerships. As for my next visit to a Chevy dealer, we'll have to see how it goes. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing, and I hope they can improve their customer service in the future. read more
