Speaking of Covid, the studio has taken every precaution to make me feel extremely comfortable (takes temperature at the door, has air purifiers with a UV light, there's hand sanitizer everywhere plus hand sanitizing multiple times throughout the facial, and the studio is only seeing one customer at a time). Initially 230 lbs, I removed certain medications, made diet adjustments, and regular walks. I was able to shed pounds...massive amounts of weight. And it was brutal, because the cravings were tugging me into breaking my new regimen. Also, I work in a rather shitty industry (I babysit CEOs of failing companies), where the stress levels can send you to the hospital if not directly to the morgue. By the time I reached the 182 lbs, somewhere in September, my knees stopped hurting, I could walk 2 miles without passing out, and dropped from stage 3 hypertension to barely below stage 1. I had loose skin and remaining fat hanging on my back and midsection, that still made it uncomfortable to bend down and tie my shoes. Also my shitty job didn't allow me to take PTO so, I needed a clinic to operate on a weekend. DR. Khan and his team ticked the boxes, and after researching liposuction and watching YouTube videos on the procedure, I decided to book an appointment. The Weehawken location is cute. I love the Edgewater area. It is a relaxing, clean, brand new neighborhood right on the water. The procedure is local anesthesia and it took no more than two hours. It began at 8 am and i was home by 10.30 am. And the area treated was large, so it is amazing Dr. Khan did it in such short time. You are given pasties and a pair of disposable underwear. The doctor marks the areas that need to be treated. Then you are laid down on the operating table, and incisions are made for the cannula to enter. The operation was manageable, some areas were more painful than others, and it depends on the person. The Valium helped a lot along with more sedatives. It is a very safe procedure and it goes very fast. There are no open wounds. The incisions heal quickly and you are given an adequate amount of antibiotics two weeks prior to the surgery. Make sure you follow the doctor's advice like the Bible. I did, and I'm healing well. They will give you Oxycodone for post surgery pain. I did not need it at all. I think that if the surgeon is excellent, there is no need of pain killers. That's how I knew I had made the right decision. Besides the soreness and the discomfort, I was able to manage without opiates. Also, wearing faja will drastically alleviate the pain. I had a protein rich diet, with zinc and vitamin c, absolutely no carbs, and one week after the operation I was feeling great. I did not develop bumps or odd wrinkles on the treated areas. It is the midsection of a former obese woman, but I am kind to myself and did not expect a 6 pack to pop out. I am grateful to be able to tie my shoes and being able to walk and do chores around the house instead of living in a pigsty ridden with empty vodka bottles and pizza boxes. The lipo really motivated me to cook at home, control portions, take care of myself, really evaluate what I want in my life/career, and tell my boss to fuck off. Go to Dr. Khan for lipo and follow his team's advice to the T.

Dr. Wiederkehr only works in the Hoboken office on Thursdays, but he is booked about a year out. 3. A representative said that Dr. Wiederkehr is no longer "in-network" with United Healthcare even though he is listed as in-network on the UnitedHealthcare website - she said that must be a mistake. Nevertheless, the receptionists answered calls quickly and were very informative. But, it would be great if they would update their website with all this information to save everyone's time - I spent a lot of time researching only to hit dead-ends. Due to these roadblocks, I was not able to book an appointment with any in-network dermatologist at this business.

Skin cancer scares the hell out of folks but, if it isn't melanoma but a carcinoma the fears are not required, I have had 4 of them removed and it went just fine. I visited Dr Ginsberg a year ago for a small amount of botox and filler (I had previously had both in modest amounts for a natural look administered by board certified plastic surgeon). I explained my problem areas/concerns, what I had done in the past, then left it to Dr Ginsberg to make his recommendation. He suggested botox and filler under my eyes (which I had never done before) in addition to the usual locations. I trusted his advice and went ahead with it. Within a couple of days, the results were shocking. I had deep, wavy smile lines in my cheeks that were never there before and extremely alarming. Worse still, it was asymmetrical. The effect under my eyes made me look like a different person. Needless to say, I was panicking, having never asked for or experienced this before. I came back to the clinic, where Dr Ginsberg took zero responsibility for the poor results and instead explained how it was all due to MY face/muscles/tolerance etc etc. He dissolved what he could to undo the deep lines on my cheeks and under-eye filler. I left more than a little freaked out and $3k lighter for the experience. I never received any follow up or check in from Dr Ginsberg or the clinic. Zero... Until the 1 year anniversary of this experience where they called me to let me know I was probably due to come back and spend more money with them. No thanks. I get that results differ and it's not an exact science, but admit when you get it wrong. All he had to say was something along the lines of, "it clearly hasn't done what we had hoped / this isn't what it should look like / I'm sorry about the result", then show some duty of care post-visit. But, blaming me for the result, taking my money and then never following up was unprofessional and insulting.
