Last time this year I was in the emergency room to hear a dr. telling me that I would need my arm amputated due to a horrible accident. Imagine waking up in the emergency room frightened & flat on your back... a group of doctors and nurses huddled over you with grim faces... and hearing the words amputation... thus ending my career as a painter. I call him my "Angel". Dr. Rayham... he was on his way home to have dinner with his wife. As he passed through the emergency room he heard the words amputation- he walked over read my chart & looked at my xrays. I just left from his office after a consultation with him, he is going to fix the dogs ear himself. I quickly forgot about my old nose and double chin. Those only exist in the horrific photos I sometimes come across and that is the only place they belong. So I'm going to break this review down into categories, so that it is easy for you to locate the part that is important to your search: 1. Results: - Very natural, essentially undetectable by a third party, but seriously impactful for me (in a positive way). My face has softened, feminized, and I no longer obsess over my nose on work calls. The feeling of disgust I felt every time I looked at myself in the mirror throughout the last few years has disappeared. There really isn't a price tag for that. Just going about your day NOT thinking about your nose.. imagine that! Even members of my family don't notice a thing. The kind of thing I hear often is: " you look younger somehow!". I"ll take that compliment any day! 2. Why Dr. Weintraub: - Other than the obvious - decades of experience, beautiful real patient post-op-photos , and elite credentials including industry groups like the Rhinoplasty Society (look it up), what struck me was that he immediately noticed what was RIGHT about my face, not just what needed improvement. I consulted with only the top rhinoplasty specialists in NYC and I am confident they all would have done a great job, but I couldn't shake the feeling of :"He's the one. I want him to operate in the center of my face." because I knew he actually really noticed my natural beauty and he would work to highlight that. Also - his patient results all truly looked unique. He didn't have a "style", which even the top NYC rhinoplasty surgeons have (you can always tell they add their own personal touch and you notice the pattern if you look at enough photos). Dr. W had no style - everyone looked like a hotter version of themselves, which is what I wanted for my look. I wanted no part of looking mass produced. 3. Experience: super smooth, easy and pain free recovery. I was back to normal in two days. Obsessing over my healing ups and downs was the hardest part, but Dr. W was there with me every step of the way, responding to my obsessive text messages promptly and answering all my questions. 4. His team: excellent - efficient, courteous, and all around treat you like royalty. Everyone from the administrative staff (Jill, Nicole, Justin) to the nurses, surgical assistants, and the anesthesiologist - everyone brought their A game to work. 5. I also really respect Dr. W's long term thinking ethos. He gave me advice regarding my neck/chin area that was very different from the advice I got from other surgeons, but it made a lot of sense to me, so I went with his (less is more) approach, so that in the event I wanted work done at some point later in life (and let's be honest, I'll be getting a facelift when I'm in my mid-60s), so that I would have the best outcome. However, I am here to inform anyone who is apprehensive about scars, hesitant to travel, or facing any other concerns that if you opt for a surgeon like this, you will only receive liposuction, contrary to what you were assured. In my case, the results of liposuction alone were aesthetically inferior to my previous appearance. In stark contrast to what Dr. Weintraub promised and what he advertises on Instagram, he did not remove ANY gland tissue. A different surgeon recently removed gland from me and verified it with photos. The second surgeon confirmed that I had previously undergone liposuction alone. Worse, even the lipo only procedure that Dr. Weintraub performed was uneven, removing way more from one side. I'm still dealing with the asymmetries. For this he charged me over $13,000. I believe there's only one reliable way to remove gland, and that's through the areola. I now understand that a skilled surgeon can minimize scars and can prevent cratering. Don't let an unscrupulous surgeon play on your fears.
