I paid in full for me and my wife. We were told the total bill for us was $119.00 each. We paid in full and were informed by Dr. Moy that she would submit the. bill to Medicare. We were contact three week later and told we owed $62.60. I got a statement that shows that our eye exam cost $205.00. I called the company and told them I paid in full in the day if they exam and it was MEDICARE's fault. THI RXAM IS NOT WORTH THE CHARGE. The doctor didn't check our reading vision, didn't note I am a diabetic and didn't dialate our eyes. other eye exams are $50 to $75 in the immediate area. read more

Let me start by saying I've been using glasses since I was 15 and I'm now 39. I now use contacts. All my life I have only gone to an eye dr inside a Costco in CA. Now that you have that background--let me start this review. The Dr Grobar or Grubar I didn't get his name mentioned that he only works Saturday's covering for someone. He mentioned that he would not be able to give me a RX for my contacts because he didn't have samples so after he received the samples I would have to come back 2 more times. I'm all my years coming to the Optometrist, I have never heard that. I questioned him about it and said I cannot come back two more times so just give me another brand. He said well you didn't even wear your contacts so I can't help you. I said I did, the young lady asked me to remove them. He said well you haven't had them on for 4 hours. I said yes I have, I removed them. So I again questioned these policies and he said "shhhh, I have other patients to get to". He put his arm up to his mouth like signaling to zip it. I said you do not need to shhh me. Never in my life has a medical professional treated me this way. I should have got up and left after that and I did not. During the exam he said put your forehead against the head rest. I must have moved it not realizing and he grabbed his 2 hands and shoved my head in. I felt so violated. He didn't have to be rough or touch me. During the exam when he was looking into my eyes he placed his hands down on my shoulder. I've never had an optometrist do so much touching. I felt like it was a power move on his part. He rushed through the appointment and I felt like he was giving me a brief exam. He said he couldn't give me a contact prescription unless he saw my last prescription which I pulled up for him because I had on email and then he just copied everything. I explained everything to the young lady in the front and she apologized and asked me to come back another day and held off on giving me the RX. The RX had a different last name which I'm sure he did on purpose so they wouldn't honor it. Either way she didn't give it to me. They scheduled me for an appointment next week and said I can come back for free. honestly I'm going to try and cancel because I never want to go back there. I don't understand why this man was touching me so much, I don't understand why he was so rude, condescending and most of all if you don't want to be in this field then don't. He did not have a good bed side manner. I paid $55 and left with no RX and hoping they will credit me as I do not want to return. I'm going to google how to file a formal complaint because I don't want someone else to go through this. Update:3/12/20 I went back today and they only redid my eyeglass RX. The DR asked what my contact RX was and just wrote it down and didn't check my eyes.I question why she wasn't giving me a contact exam as I paid for it and she said if you're not having problems I don't need to do it and she just wrote what I told her. What if I was wrong? This was also after her being almost 30 minutes late. My appointment was at 10 and she showed up late due to traffic. I asked the girl on the front and she just said I don't know what to do. I asked for a refund and she just said I don't know what to do. I was not given a contact exam, but I paid for it. I will officially file a complaint with the state. Save your money and go somewhere else. They don't care about their patients. read more
