I had seen Dr. Multani during my visit, and I am very impressed. He took his time to answer my questions and I learned new things during my visit that no other optometrist had ever told me even though I've visited optometrists since I was a child. I would recommend this office in a heartbeat. They book up fairly quickly and I could only get an appointment a week out, so I'd recommend calling early. At my appointment, I didn't have to wait long until I was seen, and each of the providers saw me quickly and without long wait times in between. The doctor that ran this practice retired and the new doctor, Dr Multani, took over. I love him, and I actually hate most doctors. Usually I feel like they don't care and they just want your money. This doctor didn't rush me, proactively explained things slowly to me, and told me things I didn't know, even though I have 20/20 vision. Dr Multani didn't try to force sell me, and he was so kind and knowledgeable. Nice small shop. I was looking for a specific look and already had my prescription. I had to make an appointment. I left two messages before someone called me back to come in. The glasses that I had seen in the window that I mentioned that I wanted in my message was sold just hours before my appointment. I can't help but wonder how this may have been different had they hadn't delayed calling me back for two days? Unfortunately I was not able to find an alternative pair. They did have a few things I wanted but they were only available for a certain insurance company customer. Despite my not having insurance I still could not try on or get the glasses. Dr. Bryant was very thorough and took the time to chat with me during my exam rather than just moving me through like another number on his schedule. I like to choose independent optometrists rather than chain stores because I think it's important to build relationships with my healthcare practitioners in order to get the best care possible. It was clear to me that Dr. Bryant feels the same way about his patients! We talked about what I do for work and how it impacts my vision, and he reviewed my contacts and how I like them rather than just rewriting the prescription. I also appreciated that although I mentioned my biweeklies can be a little dry, Dr. Bryant didn't push me into switching to dailies because I mentioned my concern about contact lenses and their contribution to micro plastics in our water systems. Regarding covid-friendly practices, I felt very safe with everyone in the office. It was not crowded and everyone was wearing appropriate PPE. I find the continuance of pseudoscientific Covid security theater at this late date offensive, from any place, but otherwise can't complain about this doctor and his office. He communicated very well and seemed competent. We agreed on his recommendations, they gave me my prescriptions without my having to ask. Being someone with poor vision, I've been to a lot of eye doctors over the years. There have been some good experiences and some bad experiences, but none I'd ever really consider a "great" experience. Thankfully, that all changed with my recent visit to Myoptics in Hoboken. The service staff were really nice and very helpful with addressing my questions. Doctor Bryant also provided the most thorough examination I've ever received in my life. Overall, my favorite aspect of how this office does business is that they actually use technology. The new patient forms are web-based and can filled out well before you arrive for your appointment. They also send confirmation text messages right after you schedule your appointment and the day before it takes place. Whenever I see a business with as many five star reviews as Myoptics, I'm often skeptical that they may not be legitimate, but that wasn't the case this time around. 5 star experience at Myoptics - if you're in JC or Hoboken and are looking for quality, individualized attention, and an altogether pleasant, professional experience, this is the place for you! After a horrific experience in downtown Jersey City (I won't name names, but please shop around and read reviews! B-eye-yer beware!), I gave up on getting my eyes checked for a whole year past my recommended check-up date. But when I finally ran out of contacts, I knew I had to find a new place. Enter Myoptics - which had many $$$$s on Yelp, but I figured: for something I do every year and a half or so, and for the health of my peepers and my sanity, it was time to pony up and pay the price. WORTH IT! Dr. Bryant is a gem. He's smart, funny, and thorough. His staff are courteous and professional and do not make you feel like you're being herded in with a bunch of farm animals in a maze-like process just to wait more than an hour to speak to the doctor for 2 minutes (see Jersey City optometrist, above). The entire process went off with a hitch - I got new contacts, a prescription for glasses, and all was right with the world. read more

This review is for Dr Bryant's NYC facility at HMC Vision (There is no yelp page) Ease of an appointment, i heard back from the office staff same day i called and left a voicemail. Dr Bryant is only in his NYC office on Thursdays, but i was able to get a sufficient time to meet with the Dr. The office is very nicely done. Sophisticated. It is shared with a dentist office, so you can hear the drilling but nothing terrible. Great views of the city, great facility, great staff interaction. My less one star is for the communication with the office. You can never get anyone directly, only via voicemail. and after my appointment it was nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. I called within the first few days of my new trial lenses and then waited 2 weeks (the full trial pack) for someone to finally call me back. (I called 3x and sent an email) If there was a more efficient communication path this would be 5 stars. read more

I love Myoptics in Hoboken! Dr. Bryant is very thorough, patient, and allows you time to ask questions. He's been incredibly helpful in suggesting ways to keep my eyes healthy and less tired from staring at the computer all day. The store itself is clean and has some of the best looking glasses frames. The staff is pleasant and helpful when I spend a couple hours trying on all the frames before finally selecting one. I was referred here by a good friend and I am so happy I came here! It was time for an eye exam and I needed new eyeglasses. My appointment started right as scheduled which made me happy to not have to wait around! They took great safety measures to keep everything clean and sanitary throughout the whole process, I felt very comfortable and appreciated that. Dr Bryant was wonderful! Great place to get glasses made, or contacts fitted. I hadn't worn contacts in a few years but wanted a pair for my wedding (couldn't bring myself to try and rock the wedding dress with glasses look). Dr. Bryant gave me a thorough eye exam and explained to me what options I had, and why it might be better to give toric disposable lenses a try rather than going back to the gas permeable lenses I'd used previously. He was right, and I was so grateful for the good advice that I went back a few months later to get my first pair of progressives made. Again, Dr. Bryant carefully explained why certain frames would be better suited to progressive lenses, and Ken and Jessica helped me pick out a great pair. I've heard nightmare stories from friends who never acclimated to wearing progressives and ended up having to get separate readers. While I did go through one day of feeling kind of queasy while adjusting, I now really love my glasses, and I no longer have to go through the embarrassing step of taking off my glasses or squinting to read things.... Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff, and they take various forms of vision insurance, which is a plus. Definitely worth checking out if you live or work in the area. read more

We've visited Myoptics twice - once for prescription sunglasses with a high diopter for the wife and once for gas permeable lenses for myself. Dr.Bryant has come through for us each time. Dr.B and Ken helped us pick the right sunglass frames for my wife without trying to up-sell, since larger frames would not have worked for her high myopia. Be warned though that the real chic frames at the store are on the expensive side. I decided to go to Dr.Bryant again when looking into trying contacts with my high astigmatism. He suggested that I go with bi-toric GP-lenses and explained the pros and cons of a GP-lens. I did my own research and found that getting the right curvature on both side of the lens (hence the 'bi'-toric) is sometimes a trial-and-error process that involves multiple visits to the doctor. Apprehensive of this, I decided to give it a try and Dr.B got it right the first time! As someone who has been wearing glasses since fifth grade, these contacts were initially hard to get used to, but Dr.Bryant made the transition much easier. I've been wearing these contacts almost everyday for a year now and will hopefully continue to, thanks to my experience at Myoptics. I'd definitely go here again for my future eye examinations and prescriptions. read more

I ran in at 6:00 and threw myself on her mercy. They were packed with customers but took my glasses and asked me to come back in 30 Minutes. The glasses are as good as new and they would not accept money! They were so great with all their customers while I was there, no matter how big or small the need.
