I took my Husky/American Eskimo mix to Claudette's, and I will not be bringing her back. I was very clear with them that I did not want too much taken off her body, but when I came to pick her up she was SHAVED. Husky owners, and any experienced groomer, should know that you never shave a Husky, as it damages their undercoat I was frankly shocked when I picked up my dog, because she was almost unrecognizable. I called the next day to explain how unhappy I was, and was told that I was given what I asked for. I NEVER would ask my Husky to be shaved, and I stated when I dropped her off that I didn't want anything drastic. I got the complete opposite. read more

AMAZING! my boys Kevin & Wyatt (mini tigers) are no simple duo. Together they can be sweet, but not when they are bring groomed! Claudette and her team are fantastic. When I pick them up they just look beautiful. Everyone is so fun to work with. I like going there and seeing the birds. The boys are always in and out at reasonable times, even on busy days. i brought my dog in for her first grooming with Claudette and was shocked when I picked her up. I asked her not to take too much off as we're going into fall/winter weather. She was given a summer cut! My dog is a goldendoodle and she has never had such a bad haircut especially around her head. She looks like a poodle! The final straw was she charged twice as much as I normally pay. $170.00 for a terrible grooming! I would not recommend this groomer! read more

Giving three stars since they do a nice job in grooming. My only complaint is when I have an appointment I want my dog done at that allotted time. Twice he hasn't, and he ended up being there for over FOUR hours! Ridiculous.......what a waste of a day waiting around for a phone call stating that he's done! I just brought my cat in. They said they would call when 'she' was done -- the assistant kept calling my cat a 'she', after I said 'he'. :( I used to be a groomer's assistant and know this -- you do not ever leave an animal tethered on a table and walk away I should have taken my cat and left when I saw this. If the dog slipped or fell, how would they explain this? Because I came in without being called after almost four hours, they rushed through the rest of the grooming and I am home now with a wet cat with crooked hair on his backend. Nice! I find it strange that there are 5 or 6 reviews for Claudette's on here, but only the worst one is shown. The others are ignored for some reason. How weird. Anyway, I have always had the complete opposite of "Virginia A."s experience. Our vet recommended Claudette for us - we have a mixed-breed dog that is all sorts of husky/malamute types, and out vet told us that Claudette specializes in grooming long-haired dogs. He's been seeing Claudette since he was a puppy, and Claudette and her staff are fabulous. They always welcome our pooch with a smile and take great care of him. I can't imagine taking him anywhere else! read more

My husband refuses to take our dog to any other groomers than Claudettes. We have tried other groomers but none can compare to the excellent care and attention that is given to my dog. We have been taking Tashi to Claudettes for over 5 five years. I am always amazed by how wonderful he looks when I pick him up. He is absolutely adorable with his cute bandana around his neck. I love the holiday and seasonal motifs of the fabric. Claudette and her staff are very professional and friendly. They have nothing but kind words to share with me about my dog. They respond very quickly to my calls when I need to make an appointment. Just recently, Claudette was able to take care of Tashi on short notice. This was greatly appreciated! What I appreciate the most about Claudette is how much she cares about my dog. Tashi does not like to be in a crate, therefore she will call me immediately when Tashi is ready for pick up. She has even kept him out of a crate to make him feel more comfortable. I would trust no one else to groom and take care of my dog. I hope this review will be helpful to anyone who is looking for an excellent groomer. Claudette and her staff are very talented and gifted at what they do. I have been using Claudette as a groomer for 20 years. I use her for my current two dogs and a previous dog. She is excellent the dogs always look and smell perfect. IGNORANT, INCONSIDERATE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! My dog had an appointment for noon on Wednesday. We had called and scheduled the appointment the Friday before. Arrived to Claudette's and was told that there were two dogs ahead of him. He was put in a crate until they were ready for him. I told them he has never been crated in his life. He's a lab, 2 1/2 years old. She said he'll be fine and can come out later. They said they would call when he was ready. At 3:30 pm we went to pick our dog up, thinking he would be ready by now. When we got there he was still in the crate and had not even been started. They said they had an emergency grooming for a poodle??? So our dog had an appointment scheduled 5 days in advance and set in a crate for 3 1/2 hours while they took an "emergency grooming". No phone call to let us know. If we hadn't showed up who knows how long he would have remained in that crate. And to top it off they didn't even apologize. They said, "leave him here, we'll get to him soon. Or bring him back tomorrow at 2pm." They are ignorant, inconsiderate and unprofessional!!! They do not value or respect their customers time or their beloved pets. They should honor their customers scheduled appointment times. And what's an "emergency grooming"? Please never take your pet here!!! read more

AWFUL! HORRIBLE! UNACCEPTABLE! If I could give this business a negative rating I would. When my dog (a Westie) was a 5 month old puppy someone had recommended Claudette's to us for grooming. When I called to make the appointment I explained that my dog had never been to a groomer, that she was a puppy and that I wanted to bring her in when perhaps they could spend a bit more time with her, rather than have her be stressed out by other barking dogs on a busy day. When agreed on a day and time and my husband and I dropped her off for an 11am appointment. Before we left they said she would be ready in a few hours and that they would call us when she was ready. When 4pm finally rolled around and we had not heard from Claudette's we decided to call them to see what in the world was taking them so long. When I called, the woman on the phone was like "Oh she's been ready for a while." WHERE WAS MY PHONE CALL? My puppy had apparently been just sitting in a tiny cage for hours! My husband and I go to pick her up and I stated that I was there to pick up Lucy. The woman behind the counter then says to me, "Oh you mean Satan?" At first I was a bit confused, wondering if she was making a joke or perhaps maybe there was actually a dog there named Satan (people name their pets all kinds of names). Anyway I replied "excuse me?" She looked at me and said "yeah Lucy, you should call her Satan, she's the worst dog I've ever worked on, she was nervous and jittery and wouldn't hold still!" Needless to say I was shocked that: 1) a business owner had the nerve to call my dog a name that was so offensive, 2) that she was surprised that a puppy who had never been to a groomer before could be jittery and nervous and 3) she had such attitude with me like it was my fault! I told her that she was a puppy and that there was no standard of behavior for a puppy. I informed the woman on the phone before I brought her in that she might be nervous and reminded her that she was the one who kept my dog sitting in a cage for hours after they were done without a phone call to their owners. Claudette didn't seem to care that she made my pet uncomfortable or that she was completely rude to customers. Thanks to Claudette, my dog is extremely nervous before going to any groomer. The people at Petco have been absolutely wonderful in making her feel welcome, calm and taking their time with her. I wish I had gone to Petco in the first place before ever bringing her anywhere close to this woman. Claudette is certainly no animal lover and her customer service is completely unacceptable. How she is still in business I will never know. If you love your pet, do NOT bring her to Claudette! read more
