As a new customer getting waxed for the first time, I was quite impressed at how important it was to Danielle that I was comfortable. She did an excellent job explaining what to expect and how to take care of the area afterwards. The second visit was really just an enjoyably relaxing conversation about dogs and kids with an occasional "bend your knee" or "stay like that". The conversation acts as an excellent distraction mechanism and takes your mind off of the process. This is an area where Danielle excels. If you're unsure if waxing is something you want to do, I very much recommend Danielle as your go-to person. She'll take good care of you, she'll do an excellent job, and you may be surprised by how relaxing it turns out to be...a welcome break instead of a dreaded experience. Third visit, third edit. Every appointment with Danielle becomes more comfortable. This was the scary one: the male Brazilian. I don't think I could have just walked in off the street and done this...the first two visits were necessary for me to understand what was going to happen and to build a rapport with Danielle. To the guys: if you've been putting this off because of the wimpy screamers on YouTube, stop worrying. Yes, I promise that you WILL KNOW when the strips get pulled off, but it's nothing that bad. Danielle is the ultimate professional and did a fantastic job of never letting it get awkward. You would never guess from the conversation that there was a Brazilian happening at the same time. We talked about the clunk in the front end of her truck, tents vs trailers for camping....this is her super power. You're so engaged in the conversation that you forget everything else. The job was finished quickly enough that she was able to do my lower back in the same appointment. Just go do it. Updating again after my 3rd month of working with Danielle. We're now on a set schedule of one visit per month, and it takes about 2 1/2 hours to remove all of the hair from the neck down. The joke we use is "Make me look like a dolphin"....maybe someday that will be a selection on the list of services. :-) If you're in the metro Phoenix area and need a happy, cheerful, professional esthetician who is really good at what she does, give Danielle a call. She has two studios: one in Phoenix and one in Scottsdale. She splits her time between them, so check both for available times. I looked all over trying to find someone in Phoenix who does male Brazilians and I'm quite happy that I found the Rejuvenate You website. I'm treated like a friend and not just another appointment. Don't think that these reviews are just for men! You ladies should treat yourself too...and be sure to ask about the exfoliating towel! Back again....we're now on a set schedule of every 4 weeks. I've noticed that a little bit less grows back every time. I didn't have a lot of body hair to begin with but only about 2/3 of it is coming back now. That makes Danielle's job easier and it only takes a few minutes over 2 hours to do everything from my neck to my toes. My skin is used to it now and the hairs come out easier. It wasn't a "painful" experience to begin with, but now it's just relaxing. Guys: it's OK for us to be pampered too! Ladies: Go see Danielle and tell your man to make an appointment for himself also... And hey.....if you're embarrassed to ask for a "male" Brazilian because you don't identify as a man, talk to Danielle. All she wants to do is make *everyone* feel comfortable in their own skin.

If we arrive on time, having us wait with our feet in the pedicure bath for over twenty minutes is enough for us to make us pretty angry, especially if the place is pretty empty. The pedicures weren't bad and the price was pretty standard, but long waits before and after service while they attend to other clients is something that we have long gotten tired of at nail salons. If the salon was busy, I could have been a little more understanding, but if half of the visit is consumed by waiting before and after the main service in a nearly empty salon, it just doesn't cut it for us. Agreed--"could've been better."
