This is a late review, but worth posting.
I use to love this place, but not anymore. My initial draw was do to the close proximity to home. The prices for a dip manicure & basic pedicure pulse my tips was a lil pricey but it worked for me. I understand no business is perfect, but these mishaps by Classy nails resulted in my no retu
1st mishap, paid for a manicure dip, 1 weeks later & the polish begin chipping. Do to my wk schedule I could get into the shop until a few days later only to be told that I should have come in earlier or called to tell them about my problem but couldn't get in until later. Hmmm, interesting, really???? When I said, I'll not be returning, I was told to pic a color. My nails were redone. As much money I have spent in this place & that's the reapply, no apologies.
2nd mishap, paid for a dip manicure with appliqué. 2 to 3 days later, appliqué begin to peel. I immediately went back, no apologies. The nail tech was told by the tech who seems to know everything, that the specific appliqué I requested cannot be added to dip manicure nails. Hmmm, why didn't the nail tech no that information? I was pleased with the redo.
3rd mishap, paid for a dip manicure & regular pedicure. 3 days later, pedicure begin to peel on my big toe. Remembering my last experience, immediately called. I spoke with the owner who told me I needed to come in which I did the nxt day. Again, no apology. They didn't seem to want to fix the problem but did. I was satisfied with the redo & decided to give them another chance.
4th mishap, paid for a dip manicure. The nxt day I observed white specs coming through the polish. The polished looked totally different from what I wanted, went in 2 days later. The owner tried several times to explain to me that the manufacturers mix white polish in all the polishes which was why the white specs were coming through. He must have since that o wasn't buying his excuse & wasn't leaving without a redo. Even as he was preparing my nails for the redo by removing the old polish, he continue to try & explain the white specs. No apology given to me.
5th & final mishap. I went in on 12/18!for a dip with rose chrome. I was excited because I had chrome before & it looked great. I also was attending my retirement celebration on 12/19 & this was a perfect color to accessorize my outfit. It was close to closing but they took me without my asking. The tech who started the process was unfamiliar with using the chrome polish, so another tech took over the process. Although I felt the process was rushed, I was to tired to complain. The nxt morning, I woke & looked at my nails in real light. There was polish on my fingers & the nails were filed properly. It was a hot mess. I took pics this time for proof but couldn't get them to post. Do to my event, I didn't have time to go back to have my bails cleaned up, so I found some acetone polish in my place & clean up the mess myself. I also filed my nails. Less than a week later one of my thumb nail chipped. I went back, the senior tech redid the thumb with the chrome polish correctly. She acknowledged that the chrome polish the other tech did on my other nails wasn't done correctly & stated her process would look better, which it did. She said if I get chrome again to tell the tech do apply the chrome as she did. Again no apology, nor did she offer to redo all my nails for free. What?!?? So, now it's my responsibility to train a nail tech on how to do what they are paid to do??!! This is ridiculous!!!!
I don't go to nail shops for friendship nor conversation. I go to paid for a service that either I don't want to do myself or know how to do it. I paid for professionals to do professional work & when they don't, at the very least, apology & redo the process with a humble heart & kind spirit. I have given Classy nails more than enough chances to get it right. Providing "free" drinks & candy do not make a place Classy. What makes one or a place classy is ones overall appearance & demeanor; kindness & hospitality, none of which I experienced at Classy nails. I won't be returning. read more
