Polish already chipping on the side of my nails.

I recently came in on a Friday for a Dip Manicure. I had previously gotten 2 manicures there; on those they did a great job; both manicures lasted almost a month. However this time why are my nails chipping after a week and a half? I came in on a Friday and they were booked; after waiting 30 minutes they managed to get me in. The guy who did me rushed through my manicure; spent more time running back and forth to the front desk. Then end result, botched manicure. It's a cute spot and you get a free drink with certain services. But unfortunately this time they did not deliver.

My French manicure with one top coat of so called "design", which I assume are the sparkles.

My granddaughter and I were way early for our appt., so I asked if anyone could take us now. The reply was, nope 4.30, although there were several employees sitting around. So we went browsing by the mall and walked in at 4.25 pm. My granddaughter was taken to a spot at the end of one row, and I was at the other. The guy working on my nails did one nail that was a little harsh, and I ouched. I told him I had psoriasis in my nails and that was painful. Most other places I've been to go gently after they've been informed. This guy started pinching a lot more with his nail. I had a little itch in my hair so I rubbed it. And he said not to touch my hair. I pulled my hand up to see the nails and he not pull up my hand as the polish will start running. What?!?! I've never had this kind of poor experience before. I had French manicure with a coat of sparkles.....he never asked what kind of sparkles I wanted, just applied whatever was on his table. Then charged me $15 extra for "the design". My granddaughter had dip with different nail colors, and he charged I think $25 extra for her. A total of $168 for 2 rude manicures. When we walked out I asked my granddaughter casually how she liked it, and her reply was they're very condescending and she didn't feel like even asking them for a free drink. The free drink is definitely not worth the amount we paid and the worst service we ever received. Never going back and will advise all my friends and family to avoid this place. They should be reported to BBB for their disdainful attitudes and rip off charges. Classy is way too unclassy.

New Wheaton resident. I needed to find a new salon. Celine aka Danada nails where I usually frequent closed at 5. I initially went to Grand Nails but that place was packed. Highly recommend an appointment there. Called Classy and was seen in five minutes. Ironically the salons look the same on the inside. When I walked in small crowd, I saw maybe 3-4 other women there at 6 on a Friday. There were signs everywhere saying, "lower your volume and limit your phone usage" something like that. First, how can a nail salon tell you that? Almost seems illegal. Second, and this is a pro you get a free cocktail and I mean a legit drink with paid services over $30. That was nice. Large, massage chairs, glass candy jars (yay), deluxe pedicure specials are cheaper than I've seen in other areas. For instance a milk & honey pedi is $58 or 68 but 58 sounds more realistic.

Dip nails done by Sarah

Sarah is the BEST nail tech I've ever worked with. She is so quick and impresses me every single time I bring her a new design for my nails. She knows the colors so well that if I rarely look at the dip colors anymore, she just brings me what I want. The salon itself is clean and modern. Everything looks classy and there is always good music playing. They also offer a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) while you receive your service. The atmosphere is upbeat and everyone is super friendly. I highly recommend this salon!

I absolutely LOVE my nails! These are dipped

This place was fantastic from start to finish! I never got my nails done before and everyone was patient with me and explained things as we went along! Michelle was my tech for the day and she was phenomenal! I highly recommend her if you want good conversation and someone with lots of experience. She walked with me through the whole thing and gave me great advice on how to maximize the life of the nails. I will most definitely be back again!! Not to mention the free drink was an especially nice touch. I felt like a Queen for that moment.

What are sculptured nails?

A sculptured nail is when powder(acrylic/gel/etc.) is used to apply over the entire natural nail, using a piece of foil for support to give length and shape to the nail. This nail can be coated with clear nail polish for a natural look or painted…

Do you all do hard gel?

Do you mean gel powder or liquid gel? We do both

Now, I never know what to think of other reviews but Angel is just as amazing as these reviews make her sound. Or even better. We chatted the entire time, even shared pictures from the Amalfi coast. She is so friendly and makes you feel right at home from the first meeting! As for my eyebrows, this isn't your run of the mill brow job. She waxed, tweezed, trimmed, lotioned, etc. This was above and beyond the typical wax job. Not one hair was left out. Angel is the Anastasia of Beverly Hills in Naperville.

Enter the rear door from the parking lot, do not go to the front door of the building. There is a small waiting area as soon as you enter. I received a call from the general manager within 24 hours. She was very kind and professional. She informed me they were extremely upset with how my appointment was handled and confirmed that all wax specialists should be following EWC's 9 minute grace period policy. She assured me that disciplinary action was being taken and that my next wax service would be complementary. She had already added the free service to my account, and offered to book my next appointment for me. I will definitely be returning to EWC. Very impressed with how they handled this situation and will continue to book with the other wax specialists at this location who all do a fantastic job. Original Review with 1 Star Rating: I've been a loyal customer of European Wax Center for the last 3 years. Always received good service and never had any issues, until tonight when Sabina cancelled my appointment, without notifying me, for being FOUR MINUTES LATE. She says it was 5 minutes, but what's the difference. European Wax Center's policy is that if you're more than 9 minutes late for your appointment, you'll be marked as a no show and your appointment will be cancelled. So rude and unprofessional that Sabina is trying to enforce her own late policies. She mentioned how her appointments got backed up all day and she had to get home for child care reasons. If you need to cancel your appointments to get home to your kids, thats fine, but don't put it on me saying that I'm late and say you're not doing that anymore. I recommend a different waxer at this location unless you want your appointment cancelled for being a couple minutes late with no heads up.

Honestly I wasn't expecting that- and it's not like the next person was even there waiting for her service. It was completely empty. For such a big corporation- such bad service. I do like my wax girl but the front desk is not friendly at all.

Besides being ridiculously nice and delightful, Mari is professional, ALWAYS on time, and reasonably priced. Prior to Mari my bikini waxes were, without exception, painful. To my surprise, Marilu made some time for me after her normal Saturday closing time. And to my delight, she did a great job! I have been getting Brazilians since 1997 when I started going to J Sisters in NYC, and I think that this was one of the most thorough and painless waxing jobs I have ever had. It was such a great surprise! My only regret is that I am not local enough to be a regular.

Over the past…read moreyear or so, I've noticed a general decline in the overall experience, but I continued going because the location is convenient when I'm already in the area running errands. After what happened today, however, I will not be returning. I came in today, September 30, around 10:20 a.m. in the pouring rain for a simple lip wax. I apologized for being 7 minutes late. The front desk employee immediately told me, "I'll take you this time, but next time I won't." I said I understood, but mentioned that I thought there was a 10-minute grace period. She corrected me and said it was actually 7 minutes. I pointed out that I was, apparently, still within that window. Her response was visibly irritated. Then she asked me to complete a customer profile form. I explained that I had been there within the past few months and asked whether I really needed to complete the entire form again. Her response was essentially, yes, this is what you have to do, which I found odd, but I started filling it out. I then said I needed to use the restroom quickly and would finish the form when I came back. This is where the interaction became completely bizarre. She told me, "We don't need to wax you today." I honestly didn't understand what she meant and asked her to clarify. She then indicated that I didn't need to fill out the form and didn't need to get waxed there today, in a tone that felt like she was refusing to provide the service. She also mumbled something under her breath that I found derogatory. At that point, I said, "What is your problem?" I explained that I had a pedicure appointment immediately afterward anyway and would simply have the service done elsewhere. I then asked for her name because I intended to contact corporate about the interaction. Instead of simply giving me her name or allowing me to leave, she told me I needed to leave and picked up the phone and said "I'm just going to call the police." Yes -- over a customer asking for the employee's name after an uncomfortable interaction about a lip wax. I remained at the front desk and told her that I thought the response was completely extreme and that I would be contacting corporate from my car. I left, contacted corporate, and also contacted the local non-emergency police line to document what had happened. I was told they would conduct a wellness check at the business. I am still genuinely confused about how a routine waxing appointment escalated into this. I have been a customer of this location for years, and I have watched the experience decline, but today's interaction was on an entirely different level. There was no reason for the interaction to become hostile, and certainly no reason for a routine customer-service issue to escalate to the point of possible police involvement. I would strongly recommend going to the Elmhurst Waxing the City location instead. At this point, the convenience of Oak Brook Terrace is not worth the headache. Management/corporate: I sincerely hope this interaction is reviewed, including what happened at the front desk and why a customer who was simply trying to clarify the situation was treated this way. What should have been a five-minute lip wax turned into me leaving in the rain, without the service, after having to make two separate calls to report what happened. Absolutely bizarre.
