This coffee shop is tucked away inside the downtown Doubletree, and it's a fantastic little coffee…read moreshop I recently reviewed the doubletree hotel, which was less than amazing, but this coffee shop towards the back of their lobby was great. The staff were amazing. Not only were the professional and skilled, they were the nicest individuals. Very helpful, made thoughtful small talk, and provided great service While they're not open as early as some coffee shops, they open at 7am, which is still pretty early. They are accessible through the hotel or through a back door that leads directly into the shop The interior is very spacious with a lot of comfortable seating. It was towards the end of the year when I visited, and the place was decorated for fall There are all the classic coffee options, flavors, and some in-house specialties. A barista was explaining that many of the of the syrups are made in house and she provided a list of which ones. And as I perused the pastries I was handed a menu with a kind "can you believe we have even more"? The coffee came out very quickly, and the quality was spot on. Everything was great! Some tips: The whiskey rice crispy tray is massive and inexpensive. It's literally a brick or rice crispy treat and it's tasty. I wish I had gotten a few. Also, their cortado was delightful. You can take coffee to go or sit down, relax, and enjoy it there Cheers!!

The first thing was the coffee itself, it was not amazing and as someone who often orders the same thing everywhere to judge the coffee itself - I wished for something better; it tasted like tobacco. Because I didn't enjoy the first drink I got, I went back to give it a second chance and wanted to order something else and I was appalled to find out that the person taking my order did not know what a pour over was. I then asked for an cortado and got what they thought a cortado was but was wrong and the coffee still tasted like tobacco. I hoped for something better but the latte drinkers with me said they'd drink it again. On a lighter note, the inside was large and spacious and the workers were kind!

This spot has undergone a few iterations and is now a coffee and soda bar. When I walked in, I…read moreimmediately felt like I was walking into a bar, but not the kind you think. It has a relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit, chat with friends, read a book or anything to keep the crazy away for a bit of time. The seating is comfortable, the decor is light and -- dare I say-- fun. There is a bar with seating, but why do that when there are other seating choices that let you absorb the atmosphere. They also carry some food in the line of bakery items and other light bites. Because it just opened their offerings may expand. With all the usual coffee options, Plush also has an array of soda offerings with typical and not-so-typical flavor combos. All that makes it a favorite of kids coming in with their parents and who also seem excited about the unusual vibe -- at least that's what I noticed in my short visit. Although I've only tried the coffee, I will say that it was pretty good. I might make this a rotation spot because this seems outside the norm and change is good.

I'm a coffee snob, so take with this review however you please…read more I always try out local, or new coffee shops where ever I travel. So, I tried Mountain Mudd. The kiosk is a bit small, but in the few times I have tried it, I am always greeted quickly by some friendly baristas. When ordering, I tell the barista that I enjoy white chocolate mochas, but I like them stronger with the espresso, and less sweet. So, I add a shot (or two) and usually that ends up being perfect for me. However, Mountain Mudd is a different story. When I ordered a 20oz white chocolate mocha, I added two shots to make it a total of 4 shots. But after tasting it, I knew right away that they did 4 shots, but also doubled the white chocolate. Anyways- it's subpar coffee at beSt. The only reason I am rating 3 stars and not 1, is because the baristas are THAT nice.
