Basic customer service skills dictate that employees should greet customers upon arrival. When I brought this to their attention, they explained that they were engaged in a conversation. However, they could have taken a moment to acknowledge me before continuing their conversation. Yes I know I am beautiful, but it only takes a moment to SPEAK! Additionally, the store was quite empty, which made me think that they were expecting inventory. I believe that it is important for employees to acknowledge customers, regardless of their gender. When I expressed this sentiment to the employees, they laughed, which I found unprofessional and disappointing. UGH!

Don't bother trying to order for delivery. Sept 2024. Not a busy time of day, 330pm on a…read moreThursday. The Dixie Liquor website processed my order, but it never arrived. Called store, and person on the other end sounded as if he didn't have much training. Told me he was going to have to call and ask the owner about my order, and get back to me.....but he never called. I had to call again, and all he had to say was "I can't find the order". So, I placed a second, slightly different order. Got a confirmation email, saying "one hour delivery". An hour and a half later, and still not here. Called a third time, and guy said, "Oh yeah, you'll get your order some time today". I mentioned that the sited says "One hour". The clerk now sounds annoyed and said, "Yeah, it will go out once the guy who delivers gets here, 15, 20 minutes". So, I got charged for two orders, and never got either one of them. Update: Six minutes from Six PM, they call me and the young sounding guy says, "We don't have ANY of what you ordered" even though it is listed on the website. He's on his way personally now to delivery something else, but I expect that once I look at my bank statement, I'm going be pretty angry and see errors there. This was my first order from this store, and If I had know how much trouble it would be, I never would have used them to order. Update: guy dropped off and gave me a "free" bottle....but it was such horrible flavor I expect they were getting rid of it anyway because no one buys it.

They took the time to check the ordering system and even mentioned they would speak with the store owner about possibly getting it in and following up with me. That level of effort and care--regardless of the outcome--is what true customer service looks like, and I genuinely appreciated it. Note: The store is tucked away in an alley, so if you're using Google Maps, be cautious when navigating to the location--it's easy to miss or drive past.

We made it very clear that we do not like dry reds and that the sweeter, the better. He recommended a bottle, but his attitude wasn't very welcoming. We decided to trust his recommendation anyway, only to get home and realize the wine was very dry -- exactly what we said we didn't want. We were really disappointed because we were looking forward to trying a new sweet red wine. Better customer service and listening to customer preferences would've made this a much better experience. The place itself was very nice with a lot of selections.
