I returned at 5: 00, she needed more time. I can back at 6 ( closing) my pet was not ready. I came back at 7:30 and pet was finally finished. 10-7:30 was absolutely too long for a senior dog.- any dog. Owner said dog needed 5 baths which is not true. She assumed my pet was not bathed for 5 months. She is disorganized- I pulled the calendar and showed her my pet was bathed every 30 days. She was shocked at my records.. The last visit w her was January. - owner did not have record. Her record keeping is not up to par. I personally groomed in February. We are in March. My pet is an inside pet and mall walker- one wash and condition is all that is ever needed. She would always compliment me on my pets coat. I always get compliments on my pets coat. My dog is 14 years old. I KNOW MY PETS NEEDS. Owner just kept saying she had a bad day. I gather she had a bad day but don't blame my pet. Owner overbooked. I noticed 2 -100 pound long haired dogs. I noticed a total of 7 dogs were picked up in the small wait time. Owner was overwhelmed, erratic, emotional, and disorganized. My pet was sad and took a few days to recover from the groom. My wife took our 13 year old toy poodle here and he came back a mess. Refer to pictures(first 2 are his baseline, then how we received him). His hair wasn't cut right and worst of all he was bruised up. My wife reluctantly paid and upon seeing him after work, I went there the next day myself. I'm a professional, so when I walked in I asked the lady in front (now who I know is likely the owner, I think her name is Stephanie) and stated that I'd like to speak to 2 people: first, whoever cut his hair, and two, whoever is in charge. Her response: "Ok. Talk." Realizing she's never had customer service training, I asked which of the two people she was then. She said she was "in charge" so I asked to speak to whoever cut his hair first. Out comes the groomer and I asked how his hair cut went yesterday. She states that he did well, that he was obedient and that he had no issues. I inquire about his huge bruise and she states: "oh no that's his skin." I explain to her that no, it's a bruise. He's a lap 7.8lb lapdog and after 13 years, I know his little moles etc but this is 100% a bruise. She suggests I "go to the vet if I want a second opinion." I didn't know her opinion counted as 1st, and what I'd really like to know who she thought was going to pay that visit. I inquire why half the hair on his head is long vs the other. Now her and the "manager" state that they have clear policies about not being rough with uncooperative dogs to achieve a perfect cut. My counterargument is he's 13: he's easily been groomed more than 100 times and never has he comes out looking this disheveled. Their response: "oh well maybe those places were a lot rougher!" I was stupefied: "yet he's never come home bruised this way!" The conversation then turned into them telling me a puppy cut doesn't exist, which again he's been groomed 100+ times in multiple states and even countries and while I understand there may be slight differences, everyone knows what I mean. Apparently not here. Then they keep telling me go to a vet for a second opinion. Seeing this was going nowhere, I asked if I could speak to the manager separately. I was very clear: given what has happened here, what I think is fair is a refund and an apology. She she begrudgingly gave me the refund and no apology was ever uttered. I feel responsible for my dog's suffering. The bruise to me looks like a pinch. His nails were too short and he licked them for 3 days uncomfortably. He didn't eat for 2 days and shook constantly. I really wish his usual groomer hadn't been on vacation. I wish I had just waited. I recommend you look elsewhere, for your little one's sake. This business is totally unprofessional.

She could have called us and told us what was going on and didnt have to waste 3hrs of our lives. She kinda looks mad that our dog wasn't cooperating with her low level grooming skills. Duh! He's a puppy and his first time. She expects the dog to sit still. To make the story short. We left and took him to petsmart everything was done clipping and trimming in 30mins. I saw my pup on the table at pestmart and the lady stated that our puppy wasn't cooperating with the trimming and clipping was a lie. When I pick up my boys they look great and aren't ready to bolt out the door. The groomers there are awesome, the place is clean, and very inviting. I cannot recommend them enough.
