Great pizza. Only veggie pie I'll eat and the meat pies are excellent. Classic Trenton style pie.

Stopped in for lunch today based on recommendations from a new work friend in East Windsor. I was SO disappointed. I orders two slices of pizza, one plain, one with pepperoni. Both arrived at my table covered in oil, dripping with oil. I had to let it drip off, and then blotted the rest with napkins, but it was still totally oily. The crust was so thin that each slice fell apart into a bunch of torn pieces that I had to eat with a fork. I ordered a side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, onions, the usual. Nothing fancy - no olives or giardiniera or anything like that. I wanted oil and vinegar for dressing, and it was brought to me mixed together. I asked for separate vinegar and oil so I could dress the salad myself, and the server was gracious and brought it to me. After dressing the salad, I couldn't even eat it. What is it with pizzerias that use their greenest, heaviest, most strong tasting and bitter olive oil in a fresh salad? It overpowers the salad, and tastes awful. We don't do that in Italy. Salads need a light tasting, light golden olive oil so you can taste the components of the fresh salad and not be massacred by the heavy bitter taste of oil. I am astounded when Italian pizzerias and restaurants do this. The good news? The sauce on the pizza was fabulous. The bad news? $16.00 for this mess. And no refill offered on the soda. read more

After my OrangeTheory workout I was craving pizza and this place happened to be in the same parking lot. The staff upon entering were friendly and got me seated right away! I was going for something smaller since I was dining by myself and also on a business trip l, but I was told I had to try the Sicilian Pie, so I ordered it! The pie was delicious and had a nice crunch with each bite. However, I definitely had leftovers as this thing was HUGE! The restaurant also offers salad and pasta options if you're not feeling pizza. Lady Eatwell and I joined two friends at Classico last Friday, 9/5/2025. It was our first time there. My friends highly recommended it, and said they go regularly. At 6:00 the dining room was only about 20% full, but by 6:30, many folks had come in, making it around 95% full. We ordered: A caesar salad A house salad One arancini appetizer A small plain tomato pie A small tomato pie with half mushrooms It was literally FORTY-FIVE MINUTES just to get our salads and the arancini. There was no return to refill our water and drinks. With the full room, the poor acoustics of the dining room made conversation at our own table hard to hear. The salads were good, and generously sized. The arancini was a single large ball, sliced in half and set in marinara sauce. It was excelkent, and the best part of the entire meal. IT WAS ONE HOUR BEFORE THE PIZZAS CAME. There was no explanation or apology from the clearly overstressed waiters. There was not enough room on our table to set up both pies. At other tables, they brought separate stands to place the pies on. But we were told there were no more available (and recall that WE had arrived 20-25 minutes BEFORE the majority of guests!). So... our pie was placed on one of the few remaining empty tables, several feet away from where we were sitting. So we had to get up, and walk to the other table, just to get our pizza to eat. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS THIS HAPPENED. And again, NO EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY FOR THE EXTREME DELAY OR INCONVENIENCE. AND THEN.... The tomato pies. Despite the reputation and my friend's past experience, ours were significantly overbaked. It was like eating balsa wood with a smear of sauce. There were barely any mushrooms, despite the up-charge to have them. Finally... we wanted the check. It took ten minutes to get our server to come over, and then bring us the bill. We paid in cash and got out. However good Classico may have been to others, This was an utterly unacceptable and awful dining experience. Had there been any manager at the register, I'd have complained. We will not return. Take a 10-15-minute drive and get truly good pies. read more

Stopped in here for a quick bite before heading home. Greeted nicely when I walked in and asked if I'd been there before and if I needed help. I ordered my standard slices when trying a place for the first time - one plain and one sausage. The slices were thin and crispy - a little crispier than I normally like, but these were really delicious slices. I thought the slices were a little small for the price, and the sausage slice didn't have much sausage on it, but they were still very tasty. I imagine if I lived close I'd be a regular here. read more

Margherita Pie with real tomato base, and mozzarella. Crispy, not over cooked and made a nice crunch when bitten into. Slight flop but due to tomatoes. Taste was great. Awesome location and service was attentive. Great spot, with plenty of seating. I was shocked it had only a few patrons, but noticed they were turning pies like crazy. First time here. All I can say is WOW. Four of us came in for pizza. Started with onion rings, they were terrific. We got the Brooklyn square and a medium round pie with meatballs. Outstanding pizza! This was on my radar for some time. I know that Steve learned from some of the best in the business, and was cranking out great pies from those places. I knew that once he had his own spot it would be as good as Delos etc. it took me way too long to visit..... It just so happened I was nearby with a friend and food was needed, this was the first place I thought of. It was pretty slow around 1:30 on a Saturday, but Steve was working so I knew what I was getting. My friend wanted pasta and chose the caccio pepe, we also ordered an app of cheesesteak egg rolls, I ordered a large tomato pie with garlic. The pasta came our fairly quickly but not before a side Caesar salad that comes with a few items. She liked both. We both enjoyed the egg rolls, lots of meat and cheese. The pie was just the way I like, super thin crust that held up to the ingredients. The sauce was vibrant but not sweet or too acidic, quality cheese and a good amount of garlic. It was a nice size and I walked away with half of it left, sadly it did not last long once home. The interior is casual but much nicer than a typical pizza place, BYOBing would not be out of place. I hope this area can appreciate Trenton style tomato pies, and the rest of their food for that matter. I plan on coming back soon to try a steak sandwich. read more

Tried this pizza shop with high hopes but was very disappointed. The cheese pizza was EXTREMELY THIN which was confusing as the photos online looked to be like a typical pan pizza, and the menu had no mention of it being thin. The garlic knots disappointingly weren't fresh, they were stale and hard. Will not be returning. read more

Got the Classic Trenton pie. Pretty standard pizza. Good crunch on the crust. Cheese and sauce are fairly average m.

We have ordered pizza many times from Classico and we loved their pies. However, we are noticing a declined in the quality of the pies. Tonight, our pie was soggy, undercooked. And so were the chicken wings. I have never eaten worse wings in my life- undercooked, slimy, and just dropped in runny buffalo sauce. It felt like they ran out of sauce so they just dumped some water in the bottle shook it and poured over the undercooked wings. The bones had still blood on them. Very, very disappointing. Expected so much more from our hometown beloved pizza place. read more

Hate to be the buzzkill at the five star tomato pie party but the doughy, undercooked pizza with barely any sausage left me wondering what alternative universe I was visiting. Is there a famine in West Windsor I don't know about? Granted, I never quite got the tomato pie rage to begin with but a rushed incomplete product leaves little incentive to get the religion anytime soon. The pizza here was rather underwhelming. We ordered two pizzas. Our onion and pepper pizza barely had any cheese and was mostly sauce. The pepperoni fared better in the cheese distribution. Classico is one of many incredibly pizza options in the area and unfortunately because of the competition I give this a 4 - but in most towns in America Classico would be an easy 5. We love the variety, ambiance, service, and quality of the food. Can't go wrong with what you order and that's a rare comfort. Our only issue is that the pizzas are very thin and tend to get overly droopy/wet even when asked to be made well done. The toppings are delicious but even with a brooklyn fold it's hard to really enjoy these sometimes. read more

My town has at least six different pizza shops, and while some are very good, none of them come close to Classico. This place is probably among the top in Mercer County. I feel like this is an underrated restaurant. My favorites are the Brooklyn pie with its fresh mozzarella and basil on a square thin crust and the Buffalo chicken pie. While some pizza shops smother theirs in bleu cheese and hot sauce, Classico has a simple pie that let's you taste the Buffalo chicken flavor. You don't even need the bleu cheese but you can always get it on the side. Cheesesteak egg rolls are great as well. read more

I was looking for a new pizza place when my wife was out of town and saw this one on DoorDash. I gave it a shot earlier this week and was blown away. It was a solid 8.5 pizza rating. Then tonight (Friday) my wife and I did not feel like cooking so I suggested we order from Classico. HUGE mistake. Just because it is a Friday night and, presumably, a pizzeria is busy, it is not an excuse to barely cook the pizza. Additionally, we ordered garlic knots for my wife and she bit into it and said it was not cooked nearly enough. She never complains. No parsley on the garlic knots. I tried to cook the pizza a little more in the oven and because the pie is so wide two slices flipped off and fell. I threw them in the backyard. If they kill the squirrels (which I hope they do) then I will up my rating. Below is a comparison of the very good pizza I ordered earlier this wee and the barely edible thing that looks like Oscar Meyer Lunchables "Pizza." The cheese looks even whiter and less cooked in person compared to the picture. This was a dough pie. Not a tomato pie. 4 stars for the pie earlier this week. 0 stars for the food tonight. Average it out to a 2 star rating and stay far, far away in the future. read more

Ordered zoodles with chicken and marinara sauce for dinner and a tiramisu for dessert through their website. When I got there, they never received my order so I had to wait about 45 minutes for my food. I had used the restaurant's web address, ending in .com. At the restaurant they advised me to use the .net address. Apparently they are having problems receiving orders with the .com address. When I got home to eat my dinner the tiramisu was soggy since they had it sitting out when they started my order. It looked like it melted. Was hoping Classicos would live up to the hype of all their write ups on nj.com and usatoday and thankfully it did. So pumped to have these guys this close to the 08520. The freshest tomato pie I've ever tasted but the crust might be a bit too thin which is why I went 4 stars. The slice just drooped in my hand when I separated it from the others in the pie and went in for the first bite. Besides that amazing customer service, friendly welcoming staff and delicious food all around. They deliver and their simple menu is much appreciated. Really enjoyed my lunch here last week. It was my district's PD day, and it seemed like half of the teachers from all 10 school descended upon Classico at once. Despite being desperately understaffed for the unexpected crowd, the staff went above and beyond to keep things going, and whoever was in charge obviously got on the phone to call in everyone he could to get in and help ASAP. My party of ten ordered a few plates of fries to share, a large salad and three pies. Everyone was well pleased with our choices. The classic tomato and Margherita pies were both thin, crispy and delicious. The hands-down favorite was mushroom honey truffle pie, which is a white pie with mushrooms, clover honey, white truffle oil and Parmesan cheese. It was a truly unique and extraordinary combination of flavors that blended sweet and savory beautifully. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, although it'll be difficult to not fall back to that wonderful concoction! read more

Tried takeout from this joint last night and it was absolutely delicious! I liked it WAY more than DeLorenzo's which is supposed to be one of the best pizza places in NJ. We tried a Brooklyn pie and a veggie pie and both looked so fresh. The veggie pie was AMAZING and it actually had a lot of vegetables on it as opposed to most veggie slices which have like 2 pieces of veggies. It had sun dried tomatoes, onions, broccoli, artichoke, mushroom, spinach and barely any cheese so it felt really light yet still had SO much flavor. The only downside was the crust was very burnt so I couldn't even eat that. Way too hard. But I had 2 of the veggie slices and still wish I had more! Will definitely be back read more

I decided to attempt this new for my Italian restaurant due to my friends telling now good it was. I walk in expecting excellence. The restaurant is empty and kinda cheap looking. It takes them around 5 minutes to come up to me and ask if we'd like a table. None of this brought my spirits down, I was still looking forward to my meal ahead. We order our food and the server refuses to write down our order. So right away I was nervous. About 5-10 minutes later one of our appetizers comes out, garlic knots. A bit too burnt for me but that's just preference. Then 5 more minutes and our other two appetizers come out. The mozzarella sticks which can't possibly look more like they were frozen from a box and then subsequently microwaved to be heated up. I also had ordered Aranchini, my favorite Italian appetizer... THEY GAVE ME ONE! Yes that's right, one full aranchini, luckily it was still at least decent. Ok lastly, the pizza, as I said earlier of course... it was WRONG. We ordered half with toppings half plain. The toppings on the one half were thrown on and there was enough topping to feed an entire starving family. The pizza wasn't even good, the entire crust was just burnt to shit. All in all I'm extremely disappointed in my experience and hope this place gets shut down so a different place would be able to open up in its place read more

Great lunch spot and the staff is so friendly! I HIGHLY recommend the arugula salad! I made the mistake of just ordering the small size, it's so good that I wish I got the large. The arugula salad has candied walnuts, craisins and is topped with two circles of fried goat cheese - it's delicious! The balsamic dressing that comes with it also is fantastic. Aside from the salad, the pizza is also good. We ordered the 16" vegetarian pie which was great for lunch and dinner for two people. It was topped with hearty vegetables so very filling. One thing to note is because they stack sooooo many vegetables on the pizza, the crust in the center of the pizza gets a little flimsy, so it's difficult to hold up the pizza in a normal folded style. Although a bit unconventional, we found folding it kind of like a burrito was best for creating the least mess and getting the maximum amount of vegetables in each bite. read more

They tasted like the dough was pre-made, sauce + toppings added, and back in the oven (and it was warm, at best) - We were happy with our server, and for the fact that it is BYOB Bottom line- just an honest opinion, not trying to pull down ratings....instead, sharing our experience. We ordered 2 Vegetarian piazzas for delivery. They were left on the front porch, and mice/squirrels/ something ate its way into one box. We called, and were told a replacement pizza would be sent. Nothing was ever sent, and when we called back, we were left on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on. When we called back, they hung up on us twice again. If they had nothing to hide or be ashamed of, they would have at least had the curtesy to speak to us, but they chose not to. We have been loyal customers for years. Never, ever again.
