We explained what color we wanted etc and the employee got his manager, Danielle, so she could give us more information about custom suits. The first thing she said to us in a condescending tone was "Why do you need a custom suits". We asked if my fiancé could try on different sizes to feel what was more suitable/comfortable for him. She handed us different sizes and did not show us where he the dressing rooms were. She then went to help another customer. My fiancé also tried to explain to her that the suit jacket did not fit properly. Then the manager went on to tell him that's how all suits fit (which is not true). We felt like she didn't want us to make a purchase or even be there. Her attitude was very cold towards us. We decided to just leave as she was not helpful at all. When we said we wanted to go with a tan suit, the staff member assisting us did not hide his displeasure. We got as far as walking halfway toward the suits when he left us waiting in the middle of the store to go help other people. My husband and I came here because my husband somehow lost his hoodie sweater after we shortly landed in Boston on Saturday morning. And because I have a few gift cards to Nordstrom, I figured might as well shop at either Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack to get him a new sweater or jacket. And this location was one of the locations near us (I have noticed that for some reason, whenever we are on vacation, my husband tends to forget to pack some clothing items and so we usually have to purchase these things for him when we are on vacation... and because I have so many gift cards to Nordstrom or have bonus notes that I have earned, I typically like to shop with this company so that I do not spend additional money). We came here yesterday afternoon. My husband was able to find a light weight North Face jacket and decided this was going to be his new jacket. There was short line at the register so the wait wasn't too long. The employee who rang us up was very nice. He was able to remove the sensor on the side of the jacket and we had asked if he could help cut off the tag. He pulled out the scissors and did that for us. Overall, our shopping trip was pretty positive and if I lived here, I would come back.

I found a few cute items that I was going to buy and was standing looking at some dresses on a rack, when one of the employees with a name tag that said MIA accosted me out of nowhere. She said, "Did you touch that dress?" She was pointing at a dress to my right on a different rack than the one I was looking at that was hanging half way off of the hanger. I responded no to her smiling and said thank you but I am not interested in that dress. Then she got very aggressive with me and said, "If you touched that dress and it's not hung up correctly then you should make sure you put it back right." I had no idea what she was talking about, I never looked at nor touched the dress. Then it occurred to me that she was implying that I was inconsiderate towards her, which was crazy since I didn't even do anything, but let's say hypothetically that I did. I have worked at numerous clothing stores and would never start yelling at a customer for not hanging up something correctly. I would just fix it because it was my job. Anyway, she continued to come after me with an intense look in her eyes and I was very uncomfortable, so I left the items I was going to buy and texted my husband to meet me at the front of the store. I told one of the employees at the front what happened and he just stared at me and said, "Ummm there's the manager." The manager he pointed to was an older man in a disheveled outfit and gruff demeanor, I think his name was Vincent, and when I told him what happened he said, "Well I wasn't there so I don't know who said what or what happened." I was absolutely shocked by his response. I was clearly shaken up and he made no effort to hear me or make me feel better. It was kind of shocking, I mean, this is the level of professionalism that Nordstrom Rack has with its leadership and customer service? It is a joke. At a minimum he should have apologized and attempted to make me feel better. I HAVE been a manager and I would have apologized to the customer, would have said I would speak to the employee, and that we value your support of our store. It's obvious Nordstrom Rack at this Danvers location could care less how they run the store (which is always a mess), or the people they hire. This was a hugely disappointing experience. My husband and I have always spent a lot of money there, but they have lost us as customers.

All of the counters for all of the various beauty brands were attractively set up and well organized. On this particular visit to the store I was looking to replenish some Lancome skincare items and the saleslady was able to quickly find the items that I was asking for. I also saw an eyeshadow that looked good so I decided to buy that along with the couple of skincare items that I was purchasing. The beauty department was running a sale for 15% off their beauty products so I got a pretty decent deal on my items. The saleslady who waited on me was efficient and was a pleasure to deal with. I am happy with my products and I would definitely consider shopping at this location again.

Yesterday I walked in (after about a month of not being in there) figuring they would have finally had a chance to stock back up. I literally walked around for ten minutes looking confused and CLEARLY searching for something. I walked by multiple employees and every single one was on their cellphone, not paying attention. You'd think with all of your display tables empty you'd want to make sure that you make up for it with proper customer service, but that would require not hiring phone addicted 18 year olds so you'd probably have to nut up and pay a tad more than minimum wage. In any case, upon being helped, I asked for adidas and the gentleman didn't even walk me to where the 5 pieces of adidas clothing were (no joke - 3 of the same T-shirt and two pairs of shorts). He points, from halfway across the store and expects me to see where their miniscule adidas section is. Then, when I ask when they will have more stock, because ordering online isn't something I like to do, he cuts me off and tells me to go to Macy's. So I went to Macy's, and guess what? They had everything I needed. It's crazy that Macy's is now higher end than Nordstrom's (which is now ranked with JC Penny to me).

First, contrary to written policy, the manager said that I had to have the original tag (on a belt) and then said that they could not look up my purchases using my card history. Of course she was able to do so at my insistence, and then told me that it was not returnable due to not making the 120 day deadline. She was abusive to me, rude, and not looking to solve the problem. I called Capital One and voided the card, but you will never find me at Kohl's again after this unpleasant experience. If she had not lied to me and been so rude, I would have been happy to just purchase another belt. However, I will never be treated this way again.
