Do not use this broker. He does not advertise honestly and unwilling to help when you are not satisfied with your purchase.

Even ChatGPT knew--Gold Coast is the ticket broker supreme!…read more I had 4 VIP Lollapalooza wristbands to sell last-minute from California when my plans to attend fell through. With just one day left before the event, I was desperate and had no idea where to turn. Out of sheer panic, I asked ChatGPT (no eye rolls please, lol) what to do--and when I inquired about a concierge-level, white glove ticket broker, it recommended Dan Finkel at Gold Coast Tickets. Let me just say: ChatGPT nailed it. Dan took really good care of me on price and walked me through the process step-by-step. It was seamless, and the money was in my account the moment he received the wristbands. But what happened next absolutely stunned me: Two of the four wristbands weren't working properly. I happened to be on the phone with Dan when the issue arose--and I overheard him calmly reassuring the new buyers that if anything didn't work, he'd send a courier immediately with replacements. And then... I heard him do exactly that--dispatching two new wristbands to the buyers on the spot. Even though the issue was on my end, Dan handled everything with grace, speed, and total professionalism. He protected the buyers, took responsibility, and made sure everyone was taken care of. This is exactly the kind of Midas-touch, high-integrity, concierge-level service I had asked ChatGPT about--and I got to watch it unfold in real time. If you're looking for someone who handles both buyer and seller with care, fairness, and human kindness, Dan Finkel is your guy. Whether you're in Chicago or anywhere else--go to Gold Coast Tickets. I'm still stunned. And yes... apparently ChatGPT really does know everything. And no--ChatGPT didn't write this review. I did. ;)

Somehow, I learned about a children's production presented through their educational wing. I'm not sure if their education & engagement was this strong in years past or perhaps I simply wasn't dialed into their offerings, but that's definitely changing now. We went to see Splish Splash. This was a 50 minute long story about a blue heron and friends who are seeking to repair the moon after it fell into Lake Michigan. There were songs, there was play, and it was highly interactive. The kids--fellow "sailors", along with three of the cast members--learned a song to sing along at various parts of the show. There were several times when the kids were invited onto the "stage" (it was in one of their lab/classroom spaces, so there wasn't a raised stage) to help or participate. It was so well done, and kept the kids engaged. I really loved how this experience was designed. Upon arrival we were checked in and pointed to one of the classroom spaces. I was surprised because I wasn't sure how actors could be safe there, but it was actually a room for the kids to color and read books or play with toys and stuff before we were taken into the room where the performance took place. I've only seen something that was meant to keep kids busy like that before showtime is at Filament Theatre, and we've gone to kids shows at two or three other theaters by now. It was a great touch. This production was specifically geared toward children aged 0-5, which is atypical and felt so special that it was written with the littlest theatergoers. One of the important pre-show reminders was for adults, reminding us that it's a no-shush zone! I'm so excited that one of the most important theaters in the city, and the oldest non-profit theater still in operation in Chicago, is so committed to developing young audiences in an exciting way and meeting them where they're at. We'll be regulars at their Theatre for the Very Young programs.

Definitely one of the most famous theatres in Chicago and known for stellar productions. Multi level theatre that accommodates large audiences. It was sold out on a Wednesday night. I love to see that! Very spacious and pristine venue. Lovely gift shop too. Plenty of refreshments. Friendly and helpful staff. I'll definitely be back!

This August I attended both a Bears preseason game and the My Chemical Romance concert, and I…read moreenjoyed myself thoroughly at both events. That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?

It would be great to have a better walkway from where you park to get to the actual stadium…read more Otherwise, I like the historical memorabilia, and the fact that it honors soldiers.

I immediately received a confirmation email of the purchase to wait for an email with details for the electronic transfer of the tickets. Mind you the show is 4 days away so after 19 hours of no further word from the seller, I worried and found all these frightening reviews so I called my bank to see about disputing the charge which included the insurance in case I needed a refund. By the way when I reached out to the insurance company using the link they sent me, it said they could not locate a policy number with my name and number. So don't bother with the insurance in my opinion- just a way to give them an extra $25. The bank suggested I try to reach out before I perused the disputed so I emailed them using the same email I got with the confirmation number. I was polite, brief and asked for an update. I received a very professional and friendly email reply within 20 minutes suggesting I wait and explaining the process a little better about waiting for the seller to contact me via email. Then not 30 minutes later I received an email with the ticket transfer from Ticketmaster and after I signed into Ticketmaster I was able to transfer the tickets easily and quickly. Maybe it was luck but all worked out splendidly for me despite many of the other horrifying reviews. Just be patient, courteous and give them a chance because once they have payment your best bet is to use kindness as your weapon of choice and see how much further you will get like I did the very first time. Hope this helps some folks but I might stick to purchasing straight from Ticketmaster in the future but if you made a purchase and don't hear back quickly just send them a nice note to ask and you might be surprised at the outcome!

On the call, I was told the tickets were no longer available and that they could put my disabled friend 2 rows above us. I stated that was not a good solution and requested a refund. The same seats that accrued a 17% fee for no reason. Do NOT buy any tickets from these swindlers. They don't care about the disabled and they oversell their overpriced seats with hopes of keeping the seats AND the money.
