Tickets are easy to purchase from the Steppenwolf website. As this is a smaller, intimate theater, really not a bad seat in the house. Pricing is affordable. They allow drinks purchased there to be brought into the theater. They have 2 bars and a small snack area for treats. Bathrooms are gender neutral stalls. Parking is either street parking (if you feel like driving around to snag a spot), their paid lot, or I recommend using park whiz app to find a garage a couple of blocks away. It is also near CTA. I find the history of Steppenwolf to be interesting. (A great ensemble cast) Check them out!

The Steppenwolf theater had wide aisles (so really you don't even have to get up when others are passing by to get to their seats). It isn't a large theater, so no matter where you are siting you have a good view of the performance. 2nd - the acoustics are excellent, and make a large difference when you see a piece that involves music. 3rd - they do a wonderful job of programming excellent performances. 4th - ticket prices are not expensive and are a great value. If you are a member you get a discount on almost all shows. 5th - the lobby is a cozy space to wait for the doors to open up to your show. And the bathrooms are nice, clean and modern. Some old theaters have disgusting bathrooms with one stall. Blech! 6th - great location. There are lots of restaurants and bars close by. I would like to see them improve their drink selection that they offer primarily. It can be a bit of a hassle to get there if you are driving, but the bus drops you off very close by, and there is a subway stop about 6 blocks away. Prepare to pay a lot of money to park if you intend on driving.

There's not a bad seat in the house, but the seats themselves are bad as they are minimal and pretty uncomfortable. The leg room is decent and there's enough pitch to the space that you will never have someone's head blocking your view. The sound is good, the acoustics are good. Overall, a very decent spot to see a show, movie, band, what have you.

This time I had the pleasure of seeing "Mi Familia/ My Dance", only running for three shows this Latin dance with a contemporary flair was nothing short of HOT!!! Each dancer told a story and when they came together you couldn't help but want to shake it yourself. Great dancers, great choreographer, and great crowd interaction. What was really unique was that the director/ choreographer can out before hand to explain his vision in the beginning, the middle to talk about the rhythm that's involved in choreographing something like this, and at the end to give us all a little salsa lesson.... what fun!!! The Quinceañera was probably my favorite part of this hour long show. And for only $10.00 a ticket, it was more then worth it. As for the theater, I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! I have been here a few times over the past several years, and have finally realized that they have the opportunity to switch-up the stage. I have entered the stage area at different junctures, which adds to the felling fresh concept. You never know what the stage is going to look like! The performances tend to be very emotional and always suck me in. Most recently, my friend and I saw a trilogy of plays (Gjenganger). We didn't realize all three plays were were almost two hours each. Holy plays, Batman!! I couldn't believe the emotion that oozed from the actors and imbibed by all the theater goers. I was drained at the end of the experience and enjoyed every minute of it. You don't want to miss out on this hidden "arts" establishment!

The seats are generous, there is plenty of leg room, it is a small theater so there are no poor or bad seats, temperature has always been comfortable, and the acoustics make it easy to hear. Refreshments are sold, there is a small area with tables to sit down, but the pricing is downtown Chicago. Parking can be a problem on a weekday, however, on Sunday it was not an issue. If you do not know, you can receive a discounted parking rate if you park in the government parking garage that is attached to the building and you have to ask for the validated parking ticket. It WILL NOT WORK at the theater parking garage across the street. You do not find this out until you pick up your tickets at the box office and ask for the validation.

I'm not sure what the limit is but they only let a certain amount in at a time. I think that's a great idea because it keeps from there being a lot of people are walking over each other. They have lots of sticker to choose from. Love a nice wearable souvenir. The staff were all very friendly. They moved fast. The only thing I suggest is to get kids sizes in for the hoodies and crew shirts.

We were told a shuttle bus would take us to the stadium from the Central Station Purple Line. Even after being picked up and dropped off, it was a 5-8 minute walk to the stadium. There was signage to show us where to go, otherwise we just followed people around us. The directions are to get off at Noyes and walk 20 minutes. I wonder if shuttles will be available during the regular season. Of course the residential/campus areas were swamped with cars so walking is probably better. We got through security no problem, no hassles, but they should have more gates and detectors if they are going to have games here! There were food trucks and booths with alcohol, merch tents, Porto Potties (heck no!) and tents selling food that was of course overpriced. It was a very nice day, cloudy with sun and dry; I can IMAGINE what it's like when it rains! NO indoor spaces to buy food, except a couple of huge tents? I was expecting a Soldier Field/Wrigley field structure where one can move to seats and stay inside but really stacked bleachers. The food trucks were ok but food was not super hot. The field had timers and score boards but not facing south, where we sat. We had to crane to see the score. There should be scoreboards on all sides. We found some indoor restrooms at half time thank goodness, and they were clean. Instead of going back to the seats we walked around and bought more concessions in the patio area. A medical company was giving away prizes, and we were able to see the scores on a big tv (Stars won!) plus there was a play area for kids. The lake view was very nice, I'm glad the Stars are pushing the lakefront attribute, but I can't say I would look forward to coming here regularly, esp as the weather becomes very hot or very cold, as there is no protection from the elements.
