For the purpose of my shoot, I was looking for new yoga photos for my website and social media. We settled on a package that worked for me, a date and a time. She suggested places where we could take our photos and gave me pointers so I can do my own research in finding a place to take my photos too. On the day of the shoot, she was warm and inviting. She allowed me to warm up while she warmed up with her shots. I felt comfortable in front of her and her camera (let's face it, it's tough sometimes!). My friend and I came to Julie Saad's studio for girls' day out/glamour portraits. Prior to the…read moresession, we were both able to Skype with Julie and show her some clothes we were considering for the photos. We got to talk about out concepts and what feeling we wanted for the images. Julie helped me to choose pieces that would photograph well from what was already in my closet. Before, during, and after the session, Julie was fast and responsive any time I needed to reach her by email or phone. When we arrived for our session, we had a wonderful hair and makeup session with Amy Klewitz! She was fantastic!! Both Amy and Julie were so warm and friendly, there was no time to feel nervous - I felt completely at ease! We also laughed a lot, making for a super fun day! Julie's studio is small but bathed in sunlight! Julie has a variety of fabrics and backdrops to complement any look or feel (light and airy, dark and dramatic, fun and playful, etc.). We were able to take pictures in a variety of outfits with different backgrounds in just a few hours. We got to take pictures individually, as well as together. Our pictures were ready for us really soon after. Julie set up an appointment where we could view the images -- not on a computer screen, but beautifully matted and ready to display! It was a magical experience getting to see them this way. The pictures came out amazingly, and this made it very hard to choose the final ones! However, Julie didn't rush us and allowed us to really take our time. When the final decision was made, we received our pictures in the mats and in beautiful keepsake archival boxes. They were wrapped and presented wonderfully, and included flash drives of the digital images. I have given some of the pictures away as gifts and I've gotten so many complements on them! I am so happy I got to have this experience with my friend and that Julie made this such a great day for us both! We will never forget it and we have the wonderful photos to forever enjoy!
