Great job framing our limited print & reasonably priced!!!! Turn around time was quick!

My friend Brace sent me. Angel Frame rules. Best and cheapest framing in Queens! Worth the trip !!

I believe that all of these other customers had genuinely good experiences, so I feel bad about the one star. (They require you to pick one to five stars.) I went in today with an early-20th-century French watercolor with an old but beautiful simple gold frame and asked tentatively if it would be possible to have the art rematted and the glass replaced while keeping the frame. (The matting has yellowed over the years.) I would have been totally willing to have the frame replaced, too, and was eager to hear what the expert thought. I was also willing to pay top dollar, given the reviews I had seen here, rather than head into Manhattan and pay $1,000 for the good work described here on Yelp. The manager (or employee? but I think this was the owner-manager) told me, "No. No. No." I asked why, and he repeated "no," without further explanation, while adding, "No dirty frames." I had polished the simple vintage frame before heading to the store, out of respect, and it was clean, even gleaming. Ironically, I had waited for an estimate for a half-hour while seated in a (genuinely) dirty plastic chair in this extremely unkempt and dusty shop while two women aggressively haggled over the cost of framing a textile -- maybe four or five times the size of my 10-by-14-inch item -- and the owner politely but firmly refused to budge from his estimate of $300. They finally accepted the estimate, which seemed fair to me if the framing work is as nice as described here! The "dirty" bothered me. Also, I had called in advance this morning to make sure they were open on a Monday. No one answered, so I left a message to ask if they were open. No response, so I took my chances and took the subway there. (I never received a call back, and it's now five hours later.) I felt vaguely disrespected but gave the gentleman a nice goodbye. No biggie, but it was a really disappointing experience, and I am puzzled about the shop's business model. Maybe it's all about one man's eccentricity, which I guess I should respect! read more

Angel Frame - Excellent job framing my piece and at a very competitive price, I highly recommend. - Framing Near Me - Woodside, New York

Ok so this review is going to be a little long but I owe it to the owner to give a really good review lol So I was reallyyyy into Disney's Big Hero 6 when it came out in 2014; sadly there wasn't too much merch for it, considering it followed the big blockbuster hit Frozen. So this basically means that I'd impulsively buy any merch I could find haha. Anyway, I bought a Big Hero 6 1000-piece puzzle two years back when I went on vacation to Japan. I have been meaning to finish it and frame it for a long time; I finally got some time to do so this past Christmas season. Now imagine how disappointed I am, to be missing 1 piece out of a 1000 pieces, after waiting so long to do this puzzle featuring a movie I love so much! UGH. No matter how hard I looked for it, I couldn't find it. So, I did the next best thing: I made a bootlegged puzzle piece out of cardboard, hoping no one would notice! Mind you I'm usually more artistic about these sort of things but...this was right around the time I had my company Christmas party and other societal obligations so...my bootlegged puzzle piece was...let's just say it kinda left a lot to be desired. Lee literally noticed it right away when I brought in the puzzle (talk about embarrassing...) and I had to explain the situation to him. So we talked about what frame I wanted and whether or not I wanted a matt, etc etc. After we wrapped up everything, he told me to come back in 5 days (talk about super quick service!). I went to pick up my puzzle today and I notice right away that the bootlegged puzzle piece was a lot less obvious! I took a closer look and noticed that it was painted over; definitely not my handiwork. Awww. Lee reallyyyyy didn't need to do that but he did! Maybe he took pity on my horrible attempt but regardless, I really appreciate the gesture! I will always know where the missing piece is but... Well other people won't and that counts for something in my book :) He even wrapped up the frame in a way where I could take it home on the subway during rush hour. The dude's super considerate, like seriously. So the frame looks great and I just had an all-around awesome experience. I don't live in the neighborhood but I definitely know who to go to to get stuff framed. This place is 100% worth the trip and the price. Edit* I have come to realize that all frames made here come with a picture wire and this is CRUCIAL in hanging up your framed work, especially heavy ones!! Don't bother going to frame-places that don't include this in the package, because this will save you a lot of time and effort. read more

Excellent framing. Straightforward, fair price... I almost don't want to reveal this insider spot...

I just had three prints framed here and they did a fantastic job. Friendly owner, reasonable prices and truly quality framing. He was very patient and offered suggestions while I pondered which frames and matting were best for my prints. Job took one week. I will definitely be back. read more

Great prices, quick turnaround, and quality work. Can't recommend this place enough!

Not sure why this place has the good reviews it does. I came in yesterday with a framing job and from the start I was treated as if I was a burden. The door was locked when I got there at about 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon, and when I was let in, I was scowled at. No greeting, no hello. When I said I had a framing question, the man behind the counter couldn't even stop what he was doing to address me. Finally, when he looked up, I asked about replacing the picture in the frame with a new touched up picture, and he let out an exasperated sigh and acted as if I was asking him something incredibly difficult and complex (it was a drymount job). When I asked him how much it would be, it was expensive for the job, contrary to my understanding of the reviews he's gotten for competitive pricing. That was the final straw, and I took my business elsewhere. Not going to patronize a business where I'm treated like a pain in neck for inquiring about a simple framing job. Consequently, I went to 37 Ave Photo Studio in Jackson Heights where the rates were cheaper and the job was done in 4 hours. read more

I've been a client for years. I can't say enough good things about this shop.

The owner did a great job on a diploma with accent matting. Price and service were great. I am going back tomorrow to have another item framed. read more
