I asked my insurance agent (from Nationwide) what company they use for water restoration services from my washer flooding my bathroom into the downstairs neighbor. She gave me Classic Restoration's contact info. Classic came right away to assess the situation but was slow to do construction and restoration. I had to contact them multiple times after them promising to start and complete work. Tile work in the bathroom where the damage was is STILL not resolved (loose tiles) and restoration construction in the bathroom is poorly done and already falling apart. Multiple attempts to contact them have failed (either no call back or failure to show up). Even though they guarantee their work, good luck contacting them again for any follow-up once they get paid. I'd think twice about using them. read more

Sam did the water mitigation and Luis handled the construction crew. It did take 7 months, but ultimately I was pleased with the quality of work. There were custom tiles that were needed that added to the timeline. Also, the furniture was not set up as requested, but Luis was very responsive and took care of everything himself. Do not use this company. If your insurance wants to use this company, ask them to use another company or take a cash out if they won't change companies and find a reputable company on your own. My experience: I had an AC water leak that blew up into a job where all my floors and some walls and paint needed redone. Asbestos had to be removed. They removed my AC/Heater to remove Asbestos in the closet. They took almost 1 week to get started after the abatement and demo were done. They wasted another week by not returning my calls, emails, or text messages. When they moved my appliances back in, they moved a rat back in with my stove, and my refrigerator was full of mold. They never offered to replace either and started arguing with me about their liability. They now are treating me with a lien if I don't pay the remainder, and they refuse to my central heating unit, which they placed outside along with my other appliances back in during winter. My wife and my two-year-old son had to stay in an air b&b for 2 months only to get moved back in with trash left on the property, damage done to a wall with the move in, mold in our refrigerator, a Rat living in our stove, and no AC or more importantly heat. They would only offer to clean the rat feces out of the stove and offered no other help. Tried to find ways to escape responsibility. I am currently in the process of getting a lawyer to fight them on the lien. I would give them a -5 if I could and normally don't make reviews but if I can save a future consumer from going through what I went through and also fight this contactor who bloated the scope which interns passes on higher insurance fees to our local consumers than it is worth it. If anyone has had a similar experience message me on yelp. Class action might need to be taken on this company. read more

I had to take a moment and write this review for Classic Restoration for the amazing work they did at my apartment. I'm a renter and was introduced to Classic after my property manger brought them in to handle some mold issues at my place. As anyone else would, I had concerns regarding mold exposure. They explained to me the entire process and the steps they would take to make sure my home was secured. The affected area was covered to make sure the rest of my house was not exposed during the mold remediation process. USAA has this company to use for remediation. Their bid came in very reasonable compared to other remediation companies I had received bids on. They work very well in conjunction with our insurance. We had a father son team come over ( very polite and kind) remove the bottom kitchen cabinets, we had a slab leak earlier in the year. They were very careful to remove and not do any additional damage to the our kitchen. Originally we were anticipating keeping our counter tops so they did accomplish this for us. They cleaned up after each day. Looked spotless for a tear out. Very professional . Although with careful work it did take a little longer than we expected but they were very clean and we really appreciated the cleaning up really well each day they came . We did not use them for the remodel. We had another contractor in line for that job. but I would use them again. If I needed removal and remediation. Easy to work with. read more

I had water damage. The insurance company sent them. They wanted me to sign a proceed with work authorization but they couldn't even give me an estimate for the soundproofing subfloor. Total bullshit. They will take advantage of you. Beware of this company. Then, j had 1/2" maple flooring yet they wanted to down sell me an engineered flooring product. Not what I wanted and would only increase their profit margin. It appears I can't reply. You only gave an estimate. Which was incomplete. There was no work done so probably no file. Ajay Mody and the Classic Restoration and Construction company has our highest recommendation for the excellent job they did in restoring my home after the bottom floor was flooded from a broken water pipe. Our insurance company did immediate mitigation and gutted the flooded areas. Then they told us to get a contractor to put it back together. Four days after the flood, my husband suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, and I was left with managing the overwhelming, unplanned project. A close friend highly recommended contractor, Ajay Mody, which I called. He came out and met with me and my daughter, and calmly, expertly outlined how he would go about the reconstruction. We greatly appreciated his patient explanations, "education", and support, since we had no background in handling this type of situation. Originally, the insurance company offered only $5,000 to cover what was a $40,000 job. Ajay assured me he could work with the insurance company to bring their reimbursement up to a realistic figure. This took a great deal of his up front time in which he did analyses and prepared reports to justify cost of the work to be done. Ultimately, he was successful, and the work began. He and his foreman, Eddy Perez, organized a careful, hardworking crew to plan and carry out the restoration. Meanwhile, I had to move out a distance away. They brought plans and samples to me for review and authorization, and suggested many creative options. They kept both me and my daughter well informed all the way through the process. I ended up with a dream kitchen, with lots of extra, creative features--much better than the original! The family room and dining rooms were carefully reconstructed, and we were delighted with the results. While I was hospitalized, Jan. 1, 2023 through Jan. 5, 2023, my husband filed the homeowner's insurance claim to repair the ceiling hole that resulted from my fall from our attic. Jon was our assigned contact for the ceiling restoration. When I fell through, it took down the ceiling from part of the dining/kitchen and part of the front entry hallway. They had two different textures and paint finishes. From the start to the finish, Jon was in touch, and after each stage/crew he inspected and took photos of their work. Jon asked us more than once if we were satisfied as the stages were completed. He also asked if the crews cleaned up tidy to our liking after the work day. Since I am currently confined to a wheelchair, Jon made sure we were accommodated along the way with a space for us while the work was done in either room. After 2 water leaks in 6 days (burst pipe and rain leak) and 2 insurance claims they got right to work. My bathroom, laundry room and front closet look better than a brand new build. I'm so stoked with how it turned out after being completely gutted and rebuilt. My living room, ceiling and partition walls also came out and were replaced and painted to match beautifully, even the crown molding, you would never know it was all torn out. I used this company because my insurance company recommended them after a slab leak. I assumed that they would be professional. They were anything but. From dealing with Mike, one of the project managers, he was condescending, flakey, flat out lied to me, and tried to pocket money that was owed to me. To the non licensed, non qualified workers that came into my home. It was a complete joke. Paint dripping down the walls, faucets put on crooked and not even, mirrors barely hanging on the wall, couldn't even secure a towel hook! I had to constantly email the company and talk to the worker about the issues. This went on for close to a month. I was beyond stressed, daily headaches, in and out of a hotel with 3 dogs for a month. At the end I was at my wits end, and on that weekend had somebody professional come over to complete and secure what they couldn't do. Wow, the things he did correctly in a short amount of time, when this company couldn't do it in weeks. I spoke with the manager at the company and tried to explain why I didn't think I should have to pay full price for this job, he threatened to put a lien on my house! Mike showed up at my home a few hours later threatening me with an envelope, telling me that either I come down to the office to sign the check (insurance sent them the check, but my name was also on it) or the next morning I would have a lien on my house. My hands were tied, and once again this dishonest, unprofessional company got away with it again. I've spoken to other people that have had the same experience. I shared everything with my insurance company, and they were sending all the information to the department that hires these companies. I can only hope they no longer use them. If they do, if your insurance company recommends this company, or if you are doing your own research, please save yourself a lot of headaches and don't use this company. If I could do it all over, I would have done things much different from the beginning. read more

We originally had another restoration company on site, who, while they may have been great themselves, used pressure tactics and did not explain the process well. We had a bad leak in our wall where a water pipe broke and leaked slowly and quietly under the bed in one of our offspringer's rooms.
