I spoke before hand with the owner and told her all of my concerns and after a day she called me and arranged for a meet and greet with Gabby (dog walker). On the first day of the scheduled walk my dog did not want to have his leash put on and even growled and showed his teeth to gabby. She was so kind and patient with him!! She spent 1 hour trying to get him to walk with her... she truly loves what she does and it shows!! He eventually got acclimated to her and now he loves her!! Thank you Fetch from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my beloved doggie!! They keep a journal of each day's walk and also send you photos and you really feel like your pet is in the BEST of hands!! I highly recommend them!!

Carried away-then I remembered this is Molly, our favorite cat, and prepared to have someone else in our messy house. The manager "Mollie" was very organized. We, were very detailed. I organized food in one cabinet, with post-its for info, post-it where her room litterbox was after already giving info to the manager I think it helped make things simpler. We started getting daily reports, with "basics" box checked. They were thorough, precise, and complete. My Dad worked for Polaroid for 20 years, and these pet sitters were awesome at taking pictures. Every day we'd open up the emails and this noise would come out of our mouths: not ooh! Yecch! But...: Awwww, look at how cute she looks. Her wariness and caution as a cat showed, but her shyness rounded the corner a bit. Sitter4paws let us take a long vacation worry free at what we thought were reasonable prices, for a truly truly worry free vacation. I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

Also because it was our first time there we were asked to bring in the latest vaccines to ensure safety. So that we did! Yet they managed to call me inform me he was a bit tense, and extremely rebellious aka Snappy. If you know what I mean....So for them to mention that he needed to be muzzled was completely okay with me. The fact I got a call to let me know what's going on proves to me that they are caring. One for their staff and two for the safety of their little clients. All in all, about 5-6 hours lately due to breaks in between to ensure my Paco was not hurt during the snips. It was time to pick up my little boy! And wow was he happy to see me and so was I! Also disclaimer! Their pricing is beyond reasonable. I mean I was paying almost double at another location and wasn't receiving half of the requests I had given out. So that was very notable! Last but not least always tip! Be kind. When I asked his availability he said he was free Mon, Tues and Wed. As I was desperate, I asked if there was any chance he could come over that same night. He very kindly took pity on me and came over within 40 min. Reid is very knowledgeable. The most valuable part of my experience with him was realizing how severely anxious my existing dog was. I always knew he was fearful but did not understand the extent of his anxiety. Meeting Reid and getting his assessment has motivated me to focus on improving my dog's well-being. Reid also followed up with me a few days later.

There is an interview process for the dogs, which I love, because I know that Reid knows what to look for, so I know that Lemon is not only safe with the other dogs but is also having fun. I just watched him walk in, unafraid and confident with them. I've been taking him here for 3-4 years, he gets a nice clean-up abut 3x a year and looks fantastic. They are gentle and I am not worried while he's with them. This is a small, local business that I'm happy to support. I used to take my dog to a chain store location that took all day and often put him in a cage while they worked on smaller dogs. He was always afraid and stressed, but at J&G he's in and out quickly and today made me very happy when he trotted in beside his groom.
