A couple of months after I signed the contract they decided they underbid my project wanted to charge me substantially more compared to the original quote. With the revised quote they also reduced the work to a partial roof project (about 25%) of the original quote for the entire roof. That reduced scope went up in price from the original reroof project. One would expect that if you were going to do25% of the original square footage there would be a reduction in price for the reduced scope of work. That's not what happened here. The scope went down by 75% and the price went up from the original price. Needless to say, I found another roofer (Mid State) who could do the work in time for my insurance cut off date for a much better price and also seems to be more on top of things. As of this review Wicks is not responding to my request to refund the deposit on the contract they refused to perform on at the agreed upon price. It seems like they are having some rather unfortunate management issues. The guys I worked with at Wicks seemed really great. I think this is a management issue. The whole is = to the some of its parts. Some of the parts of this organization are good, some not so much. Hopefully they can get their management issues resolved. I wish them well. In the mean time I may have to take them to small claims court to get my deposit back. Not a great oucome.
