Dropped in for a Sunday dinner. Clam chowder - very very good. Salmon dinner - lite smoke - cooked perfect- came with great sweet potatoes. Strawberry chicken salad - large and amazing. Service was very good - Friendly knew the menu well. We sat near the bar - Bar was packed, but not overly loud - open air doors for the bar. We found really easy street parking. Decent place. I was craving prime rib and decided to try it it based on their yelp ratings. Fortunately that hit the spot because the everything was pretty basic. Not sure if it's the paper napkin wrapped around the cutlery or the furniture but it was like a fancier Denny's. For almost dropping $100 I would expect a little more ambience. What can I tell you about this restaurant? From the start, we were warmly greeted by Tony. We decided to sit outside in the back. What a lovely patio! We started with the nachos appetizer and shared the grilled shrimp skewer dinner off of the Classic Eats Healthy Eating Menu (how nice is this for those who are watching what they eat?!?!) ... our server Amanda was the absolute sweetest! We were passing through Burien and our airBNB hosts suggested this place for their seafood chowder. We've been driving along the coast and can honestly say, the chowder can stand up along with the best we've had so far! Also had he grilled lemon salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. YUM! The food tastes perfectly homemade and delicious, the service is impeccable. Our server (wish I knew his name) was super attentive, making sure drinks were refilled and gave a stellar dessert recommendation (we took 2 banana burritos for the table). Food was tasty, but estimate for wait time for a burger and fries was 30-45 mins (for pick up) at dinner time. We were outside restaurant when we placed the order. There were only 2 people waiting near the entrance so they didn't appear crazy busy or anything. After waiting 20 minutes and not seeing any update to the wait time estimate, my friend said I should just go up to the window and ask, so I did. My food was indeed ready and sitting there. So had I not checked on it, it would have been even less fresh. So they could improve their process to be more attentive to waiting orders and update the stats for customers. But overall the food quality was great so I will definitely order again. read more

Great local restaurant. The service is always outstanding and their food is delicious. Their chicken and waffles is amazing and the double mimosa is the perfect ratio of OJ to Champagne. I'm a little cautious giving this 4 stars. The place is cute, the food was good and service was fine however it was really, really loud inside. We went on a Sunday evening around 5 and there weren't many people in the restaurant at that point but the bar was very busy; that noise, along with the Tv's, music, plates clanking and conversations bouncing off all the hard surfaces and made talking at our table next to impossible. I'm not 80 but I seriously felt 80 when we had to repeat everything we said two or three times. Just be aware when you decide to eat here. read more

Looks like just a small bar from the front door but there is a dining area behind. Had the Reuben and it was the tenderest and best corn beef I have ever had. It was also not smothered in 1000 island dressing as so many places seem to do. My husband had the prime rib dip and he said it was very tender and good. Hands down, the best food in Burien. Everything that I have had here is DELICIOUS and their menu is huge. I have eaten both brunch and dinner here. I would highly recommend the Country Fried Steak for brunch. I would also highly recommend their triple stack french toast. I don't usually even like french toast, but this is the perfect combo of sweet and savory. Yum! The service is perfect. Friendly, attentive, engaging. Let's just start off by saying the service here is very friendly. But very much on the slow side. I sat at a tabletop at the bar and the bartender didn't check on me once after I ordered my food. But he was very kind initially. I waited half an hr for my grilled chicken off of the Healthy Eats menu. The food finally came but I noticed two things right off the bat. It was supposed to be topped with pico de Gallo. My chicken was naked. The rice was supposed to be cilantro rice. Seemed more like a pilaf. The chicken was so burnt and dry and the rice and asparagus looked and tasted microwaved. Disappointed as I waited so long for the meal. When I told my bartender about the chicken's dryness, he said it's because it was charboiled not sautéed. Mm..I've had some grilled chicken in my life and it being charbroiled doesn't excuse the blandness and dryness. Will come back for the friendly (but not fast) service. read more

They've taken over the old Mark Restaurant and their selection is better. I eat fish and veges and sometimes it's a little challenging to find good food in a bar setting. Not here! They have fish pasta, fish appetizers. I finally settled on their portobello sandwich. Grilled onions, cheese, and an aioli with adobo. Great!! Plenty of food and flavor. I order take out from here and the first time was amazing. The next two times, not so much. The first time, my hash browns were crispy like I had asked and everything was perfect. The next two times, it was terrible. They put my eggs on top of my "crispy" hash browns which then made the point of asking for them crispy moot. Not only that, they put a pat of butter into the HOT food only for it to turn to liquid and spill extra butter all over my food. I don't know who was working/packed the food the first time but everyone else needs to learn from that person. Not sure that I'll be back considering how terribly the food has been packed the last two times. It shows a complete lack of thought about the food after it leaves the restaurant. As a disclaimer, I get that people might want to say that take out is not how restaurant food is meant to be enjoyed but if an establishment is going to offer that as an option, they should know how to pack it. read more

My new favorite breakfast spot! I have only come here twice for breakfast, so I have not tried lunch or dinner yet. However I want to say I am SO impressed with this spot. The first time we came here we brought our year old daughter along. Her patience was limited. Our server did absolutely everything she could to make my daughter and us comfortable and making sure we always had what we needed. She was one of the best servers we've had in awhile, I wish I got her name. The second time we came here we had a baby free morning and say in the bar. Wonderful restaurant with a good variety of food on the menu and great service. When asking the server for a drink recommendation, she provided a great refreshing drink. The food was cooked just right, not overcooked and nicely presented. We had the prime rib tacos and the shrimp skewers, I was wowed by the tacos.
