I got my ride back in better condition than it was before and even warrantied the service performed so if any issues do come up after the work they did that may not have been noticed right then and there they'll cover it. They also are willing to work with customers and fit their needs such as picking it up later than the pickup date and they give a bunch of weekly updates which helps in case they're packed with cars and busy so the customer stays in the loop knows their ride is being taken care of and it was no hassle with my insurance they handled it all perfectly and all I paid was my deductible with no strings attached like a fee or something read more

My Van looked great on the outside,but the inside was full of dust! I have a signal light not working and another information light on the dash not working, they do not keep you informed along the way,they had my Van 48 day's, it probably would have been even longer if the insurance company of the person that hit me wouldn't have stayed on them! Rick you're a liar. I've been trying to get my bumper re fixed for over a month. I've called even came by a couple times. Some how my bumper is coming back down. I brought it to Classic Collision in Gainesville on 49th bc they said it has a lifetime warranty. It's been over a month of lies. First you tried to push it up but come to find out it's missing some clips. I've left several messages Rick you've lied and said you've called lies. Then you said you'd order it. Then all of a sudden you can't find it. Then you told me you'd order it again. Once again you can't find it then when I drove over there you said you'd call me that Tuesday Rick bc you ordered it and it'll be on that truck bc you ordered it no call or anything. Then you Rick telling me I can drive back over there for what I've already wasted enough of my time going back in forth making blank trips . And why when I come Rick didn't you already tell me that you didn't have the piece. Then today in which is 5/19/25 I called Rick I asked for the manager over you Rick what's their number Rick you told me that you couldn't give out his number unless you knew who you were talking to. So told you my name. You then said you can't give out his personal number. I said just give me a business number you then said you'd call him Rick you said he didn't answer and you said you texted him. I asked for the number so I could speak to whoever bc I'm not getting nowhere with you. It's been over a month. You lied RICK YOU ONLY GOT MY NAME TO LOOK UP WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I cannot say enough good things about this business. They are first-class all the way. Do not go to Buchholz for the $59 Earl Scheib (remember him?) special. But if you value your vehicle and simply want the best, there is no better place in Gainesville. We have a 1999 Toyota 4-Runner which we purchased new. Instead of selling it, we decided to fix it up and keep it. The folks at Buchholz did a gorgeous paint job on it matching the original forest green perfectly. After my initial review the owner, Brad Bucholz, reached out to see if they could make things right. I agreed. Although, to be honest I was a little skeptical. But, Mr. Bucholz did everything he could to rectify the situation.  He replaced my tailights, and installed a factory bumper.  They worked around my schedule and even offered a loaner car (although I didn't end up needing it).   Mr. Bucholz was very apologetic and understood why I was upset about my original service.  He said that he hoped that they earned a better score than 2 stars at this time, but repairing my car was not contingent on me changing my review. Memory of their rude attitude the time I took my last car there led me to not buy a Tesla to replace it after Tesla Jacksonville told me this is going to be the place they send people to if they need auto body work. I told them they need to give people an additional option because of how nasty Buchholz can be when their staff are in a bad mood. My husband and I were recommended to go to Buchholz from the folks at Low Cost Transmission on Main St. We were very pleased with the service there and the quality of the repair. I had gotten into an accident, and so we went to the insurance people to get the estimate and the check for the damage. We did have to pay the deductible upon completion of the repair, and unfortunately this body shop doesn't accept american express. On the bright side, we were treated very professionally and the owner even gave us some really helpful tips about dealing with the insurance companies to get reimbursed for the deductible. I want to give Buchholz 4 or 5 stars. But I have to give them 3. Vehicle (truck) in a car accident. I've done business with Buchholz in the past, and they were fine. Asked around again (insurance agent, friiends, etc) where I should take my vehicle for repair since I was dissatisfied with the way Wade Raulerson did repairs on another vehicle, and the same at Gatorland Collision. So I decided to try Buchholz again. For the most part they did a great job on the body repairs. But what I get annoyed at is the small stuff. We get the vehicle back and the horn is not sounding right. I complain (btw Gene is the person who I was assigned). He orders a new horn, I have to drive all the way across town to get it installed, they install, drive it out, I check it out, it's the same, Gene say see all fixed, I don't complain, and drive off. Speak with Brad Buchholz regarding some other issues I was having. Complained on the horn again. They found the 2nd horn wasn't working. It's this kind of simple stuff that annoys me. The vehicle still have some wiring issues we are tracing down. Will see what happens. Hard to tell how much is Buchholz not being a certified honda shop when it comes to the repairs and electrical issue we are still working to fix. Will update later to see how this plays out. I brought my 2003 BMW 330i to Bucholtz due to a someone backing into the right fender in a parking lot. I'm a car guy and was extremely concerned about paint matching 15 year old paint. Sam helped me out and assured me that the match would be great. When I picked up my car, I was extremely surprised at how good the match was. They also went above and beyond in working with the insurance company to make sure I got the highest quality parts (all OEM in my case). They also stand by their work. I was looking around for shops that do good body work for my newly purchased used car. Maaco quoted for much less, but it was clear that Maaco was not going to do as much and was not as detail oriented as Buchholz. The service here is on the pricier side from the quotes that I have gotten, but I am very satisfied with the expertise and customer service that was provided to me. They are capable of repairing things that other shops will tell you to "live with it." They also did some level of detailing and cleaning for my car after the paint and leak repair job (complimentary). When I first bought this used car from a college student it smelled musty. After Buchholz gave it back it smelled clean. Overall I am very happy, and I anticipate that I will use them again once my cars get beat up again. You get what you pay for. read more

I had a great experience working with Sam to have my bumper fixed after someone hit my car. I took it to the shop without an appointment, and Sam immediately went out to give my car an initial look. I wasn't able to get in for a few weeks because of how popular and well-reputed they are, but it was totally worth the wait. They were great about letting me drop my car off early, Sam kept me informed about their progress so I was able to coordinate to get my rental car back on time. Love them! read more

Not enough superlatives to describe the quality of service at this body shop. In this part of north central Florida there are only 2 "factory authorized" repair shops that will repair almost any brand back to original factory condition. That is a lot different than what the insurance companies want you to do. The insurer would like you to take the damaged vehicle to one of their shops where every effort will be made to repair the vehicle as inexpensively as possible including using reconditioned and non-factory parts. It is the great hidden scam of the auto insurers and their "authorized" body shops. NOT AT BUCHHOLZ !!! They are not beholden to any insurance companies. Their goal is to repair the vehicle to manufacturer's standards regardless of cost and they will fight the insurance adjusters tooth and nail to get your vehicle back to the way it was when it left the factory. Our Subaru was repaired perfectly, and to top it off - almost a year later (when we noticed that the hatchback illumination wasn't working correctly) - the owner himself - Brad Buchholz came out on his day off (70 mile round trip) and repaired it. I never write bad reviews. Seriously. This is my first one. I went to Buchholtz because my friend had gotten sick in the front seat of my car from heat exhaustion. On my way to the body shop, I explained my predicament on the phone and asked about their availability. They told me to come on over, and I don't exactly live very close. At this point I had already been to a couple detailing places in town, and they told me that they couldn't do it because the paneling of my passenger door would have to come out to really clean. I finally get to Buchholtz for a quote, and they tell me that it's going to be two weeks before they can squeeze me in. In no world was I about to wait two weeks with throw up in my car. I already had to drive with the windows down in the Gainesville rain because of the smell. I don't think I've ever been so insulted or taken less seriously in my life. I had the worst experience. I ended up crying in their parking lot before calling a body shop that would take me day of. I am not sure how this place is for actual work, but do not waste your time if you need something quickly. read more

Very happy with the work they did on my car after I was in a minor accident (less than $2000 worth of damage). Besides the body work and paint looking original, each person I spoke with on the phone or in person was very pleasant and helpful. I even overheard them interviewing somebody for a job opening while I was there, and the person being interviewed was obviously a little nervous. The way this company will treat you will be based on how nice of a car you have. I recently had my 97' Celica serviced at Buchholz Paint & Autobody, Inc. If I would have brought any of my new cars instead I am sure I would have been treated differently. I have a different shop that I prefer, however I took it to Buchholz because they specialize in body & mechanical repair. I was thoroughly disappointed with the experience and outcome of the situation. The driver side door had stuck shut due to a malfunctioning latch system in the door. The initial repair was projected to take two weeks due to shipping time for needed parts. At the end of the two weeks when I called they said they had to order another part and it would be an additional week. I received no notification about the delay until I called them for information. Three weeks after dropping my car off I called again and they said it was ready. Delays are understandable, while inconvenient I was okay with that. As I drove the car away I noticed a piece of broken plastic on the floor board. It turns out that they had broken the release latch to the rear hatch and not said anything about it (which is not even on the door, it is on the floorboard). I was very disappointed that they were not up front with me about their mistake. I was more disappointed that when confronted about the break, the reply I was given was that the plastic was old and stuff breaks. While that may be true, that is still not an excuse for neglecting their mistake. I am frustrated with how the situation was handled. I asked them to make it right and get a replacement part for me to install myself and was declined (The part is only $30!). Now I have no replacement part nor any access into my trunk. I cannot respect a company who only sees the value of your car and not the customer. I will not be taking any of my 3 vehicles to be serviced there in the future, not even the new ones. I am all about supporting locally owned businesses, but I cannot recommend supporting this company. read more
