Two months ago a girl backed into me in a parking lot and put a dent the size of my ass in the driver's door. We both have Geico insurance and since the police report clearly assigned blame to her I didn't have to pay a deductible. Geico sent me to Gatorland Collision in Gainesville for the repair. I dropped it off February 16th and on a follow-up call they said they were waiting on a part, a door moulding, that would "hopefully" arrive March 18. After I fussed at Geico several times they got me a rental car. There were no economy size cars available so I had to pay $5.99 per day out of my pocket to rent a camry. My Geico claims agent told me two Fridays in a row that my car was ready for pickup. Is Gatorland Collision lying to Geico or is Geico lying to me? Either way, I have no car and I've already spent a fortune on the rental car and Lyft rides over the past two months. My car is in pieces and the pieces are piled inside it. Why did they have to destroy my car to fix a small dent in one door?!? The car has been left open for 2 months. You can see raccoon footprints on the seat and it looks like mold is growing on the upholstery. read more

Paint recall on 2017 Highlander. They got it done within a week and the car looks brand new! Also they fixed a clip on the front bumper at no charge just because they are nice. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this crap hole. Ken is worthless and has no right to even be involved with the public. He never returns calls and lies. I brought my car to them after a tree fell on it. They over charged my insurance and yet Geico does not care that they charged for work that was never done. When I got my car after a month of getting the runaround, they had damaged my car in spots that should never had been touched. When confronted he denied they caused any other damage even though the pictures they took prove otherwise. Ken is trash and should be fired for being a complete A$$. No one ever wants to visit a collision center - I'm mean seriously! But if you find yourself needing to.... Gatorland Collision Center is a good one. I am not sure what to really say about a collision center, except they did a great job and the areas of the car that someone hit are repaired and look like new. No really, I will say this, the estimator told me they were backed up and it would probably take a week to really figure out the damage and total estimate then another week to repair it. Well, to my pleasant surprise, 4 days after dropping it off I received a call that it was ready to be picked up! That was service beyond what I was expecting. I sincerely hope to never need a collision repair shop again, but if I do I will most certainly go back to Gatorland Collision. read more

Approximately in middle April 2023 I took my 2016 Tundra to Gator Land Toyota Collision Center to repair the right bedside after an accident. In order to perform the task they had to remove the tonneau cover and the bed off the back of the truck. The job was done almost 2 weeks later. I received a call from Ronnie to come down and pick up my truck. I was asked to look the truck over and I did, I found the tonneau cover was missing and asked for it. Ronnie went back looking for the tonneau cover. After approximately 15 minutes of searching, he returned, took the truck to the back and installed it. The tonneau cover was filthy, and the truck bed had body shop trash and residue accumulated in it. I decided to clean it when I return home. When I returned home to do the cleanup, I found all the seals on the tonneau cover were missing and there is an approximately a half inch gap between the cover and the truck bed. It was a problem the I immediately called back and reported it to the insurance company and Ronnie. Ronnie assured me that he will order the seals, I followed up 3 times on the order with him stating they are on back order. The bed is leaking rain water in buckets. THIS PROBLEM DID NOT EXIST before the repair job. Today is the second of May of 2023 and the seal (s) are not replaced yet. My wife got hit by a deer and the repairs were moderate. It looked great when I picked it up, but then in about a year, the paint started peeling on the edge of the roof. I asked my brother who is a mechanic. He examined it and said, "somebody didn't properly prepare the surface". I went to Gatorland and showed it to them. They blamed insurance for not giving them enough money to do the job right. Who says that? Even if it's true. They were willing to fix it but said that they wouldn't guarantee it. In my opinion, this is the car repair center from Hell! Took the vehicle in at the beginning of January. Today is February 10. Still not done. The reason for the delay keeps changing; even during our conversation. It was supposedly getting "prepped" for painting yesterday (Thursday, February 9) and would be done late yesterday or today. Now I'm told it is getting "prepped" today (Friday) and will be painted either this afternoon or Monday. In addition to a run-around and delay tactics, I am getting technical jargon about the procedure to repair a vehicle. I guess if you can't dazzle with brilliance, you can baffle with BS. Dropped my 4runner off on a Monday and picked it up the following Monday. They did an amazing job replacing the damaged part and blending the paint. So...... this place is gieco's "preferred" body shop...... wow...... Do not ever take your vehicle to this shop if you care about your vehicle. I needed the front bumper replaced on my 2011 f350 diesel dually and the intercooler. My truck is there 3 days they ordered the wrong parts so on a whim I stop by to see progress three days later I go inside look through the glass truck is not there I circled the parking lot truck is not there I come back in the afternoon time around 2 or 3 my truck is parked in the parking lot so close to another wrecked vehicle with the measurable difference was an inch and a half between the two vehicles so I go inside to complain they come out and can't find my key so I use my key I open my door there is dust paint dust and dirt all over the carpet on the driver side floor board...the whole truck smells like paint. So I asked who is the idiot that parked my truck this close to the other wrecked car and got paint dust and dirt in my vehicle the answer I got was the guy on the midnight shift pull it from the paint body shop.... so I ask why it was in the paint shop when it's not being painted.... no response naturally. I came earlier and the truck was not out in the parking lot so they lied to me about who put the vehicle in the parking lot in the first place. These idiots do not put paper on the carpet before they get in your vehicle...... nor do they put plastic on the seats....... my truck is like new only has 28000 miles on it. So I went to the store got some spray bleach and some rags and clean my vehicle and then made them put it back together and I took it to another body shop these people complete f****** morons I mean it real idiots they don't have any respect for your property or you and will lie to your face in a heartbeat read more

When I went to get my vehicle, I noticed several "new" scratches on the body, plus a large scuff on the driver's mirror. I looked at the damaged area, and the bumper was not aligned up correctly, there was a larger gap where the chassis meets the bumper on on the side that was hit, and also a deep scratch on the top of the newly replaced bumper. It was obvious when I looked in the lot where my truck was, that they were overwhelmed with body repairs from the hurricane, and it appeared that they were moving vehicles through their shop in a faster rate, which leads to rushed shabby work, and poor quality. I would rather get my vehicle repaired in a smaller shop and would NOT recommend this place for any body repairs. They are badly handling the volume of repairs they are receiving, especially after an event like the hurricane. read more

I was in a very minor collision and was told my car needed a new fender and alignment. I was told it would take 5 days to complete. Over a month later I still do not have my vehicle. It has been sprayed and re-sprayed 3 times. My old bumper was sent to a chemist which took 2 weeks. Then, I was told there was over-spray on the vehicle that needed to be clay barred by a professional detailer. Then, I was told the clay bar job didn't look good and it had to be rebuffed. Rebuffing happened, wasn't good enough, happened again. Then I was told that they never did the alignment - even though the car was sitting for weeks while waiting for the chemist to get back to them and that would have been the perfect opportunity to do the alignment. Then, I was told that they had to take the car to Audi to do the alignment because they didn't have the right equipment in house. That added another few days. Almost daily I've been given a new pick up date, which is always a day or two in the future. At this point, I'm not sure when I'll get my car back and have lost all confidence in their ability to accurately estimate when it'll be ready. Further, I've had to initiate contact with them rather than them being proactive in contacting me when things go wrong. The only saving grace they have at this point is that the advisor I've worked with, Jason, has been very professional and courteous. He's always been up front with me and even when the news is bad he shares it with me. He also took care of getting me a rental car when they missed their first deadline by more than 3 days which was appreciated and a nice thought. His professionalism made me contemplate giving a 2 star review but I feel a 2 star review would give this place too much credit. Stay away! read more

They have had my car for 1 month now and it is still not complete. They are fixing it under an insurance claim. They are only ordering one part at a time. Their excuse is they are ordering them as they notice what needs to be repaired. When fixing a car you know what needs to be fixed and ordered from the estimate and inspection. The final straw was when they started talking to me like I was a woman and told me I had no idea what I was talking about. We had a guy back up into the drivers door of our brand new car and his trailer hitch made a dent...UUgh!!! I knew where to go first... Stan and the guys were awesome! This is the worst experience I ever had in my life! My car just needed a new plastic front bumper cover. A very simple thing to do! Replacing it should only take 2 hours and the paint may take 5 hours. This collision center was recommended to me by GEICO. They initially told me that it only takes 4-5 days. However, after 6 days I never received any update. Then I called them. They put me on hold for 30 minutes, until another person asking me my name and car and case number etc! Then another 23 minutes. After this second round of waiting on hold, they said your part is here and it only will take few more hours and we will call you tomorrow first thing to pick it up! The next day, I called 11 am. Again they put me on 30 minutes hold; and repeated the same thing they said yesterday! Now, I am heading there to personally check what is going on! They turned an unfortunate experience into a great one by providing me with all the information and instructions I needed to get my car repaired. I had a good experience here. After getting rear-ended, I dropped off my Honda Fit because State Farm recommended them. They are conveniently located right across the street from the Hertz office where I got a rental car. My contact was Charles Hatch, who was friendly, well prepared, and always quick to answer my calls. I dropped the car off on Monday and called on Wednesday. He said they found a little more damage when the rear bumper was removed, so it might be until Friday before it was done, but he actually called on Thursday at 4 p.m. to say it was finished on time. Everything went smoothly and the interior and exterior look as good as new. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

HORRIBLE place.. first time i took my car there they used a cheap technique to fix my car without my knowledge... Recently after an accident i took my car again only to have my car amplifier STOLEN after leaving it there over the weekend. The manager, Dennis was one of the rudest individuals i have ever encountered and immediately blew off my concern over my amp being stolen. He did not show one shred of condolence on my behalf. When i first called this place the operator was rude and did not care for what i was looking for (operator was Toyota Gatorland showroom).. once i got transferred, someone picked up at the Collision center i got an appointment and took my car in. The person saw my car, the first thing they go "has your car been in accident before!" statement not a question.. i said no... they still thought i was lying and kept on saying this bumper has been hit before.. they suggest to fix it. That should have been my call to not give them my car.. but i did.. they kept my car for 2 weeks.. re-did my bumper 2 times.. and yet when i went to pick up my car it was a horrible job. My emblem had sctraches, the pain had particles under neath and i denied to pick up my car. They kept my car for 1 whole week and still the work was horrible. When i said something they went well your bumper has been in a previous accident there is only so much i can fix.. and collision center 101 they did not even clean my car... I picked up my car and called state farm... I am lucky that state farm helped me out.. DO NOT GO TO GATORLAND COLLISION CENTER. THEY WASTED MY TIME, AND I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. I took my car to the bodyshop this morning. I ran into some problem with the Hertz rental car. They refused to accept my bank card I called the Toyota office around three o clock. I asked for another solution. The female who took the phone call just hang-up while I was talking. I was in disbelief and decided to call back. A man picked -up this time, and told me that they had no time for that . I am in disbelief and shocked how they treated me. I had a claim. Went to gatorland and they said they were ordering my parts and we scheduled an appointment in two weeks...so by the time I brought my car in the parts would be there. My car was estimated to only take 5 days maximum. I called after a week and was told I would get a call back, but I didn't. Called three more times and I was put on hold for over twenty minutes. Couldn't get through to anyone so I had to show up to figure out if my car was finished after two weeks of it being a there. Turns out they hadn't even started working on my car. After complaining to Dennis (apparently the only man who can get anything done around there???) they started working on my car and it was finished a few days later. They did a good job fixing my car but they have no idea how to run the place. read more

I would highly recommend to stay as far away from this place. Charles H. kept saying date/s when the car will be completely fixed. But when the date came, we came in and tried to pick up the car. It wasn't ready. He said a couple of parts didn't come in. Then why he gave us dates that was suppose to be fixed and ready to pick up. He should have call us and give us another completion date because the parts didn't come in. He said that he didn't say "guarantee" date when the car will be fixed. He was very arrogant toward my wife and I. I asked if he gave an estimates to State Farm insurance. In his arrogant answer he said he never deal with insurance companies. Well, I called State Farm the next day. State Farm said that they were suppose to get an estimates and a date that when the car is completely fixed from the collision center. They never received any estimate or date of completion from the collision center. State Farm called the collision center to see what going on because they never received any estimates which the insurance company was suppose to receive and approve before work on the car suppose to start. State Farm said that the collision center didn't follow procedures a few times before. State Farm was considering of dropping the collision center from the list of State Farm preferred body shop. Well, Charles called back and had a very nice tone of voice (wasn't arrogant at this point) and said that the car will be fixed by the date. I talked to State Farm afterward and State Farm told Charles that the car should be done by a certain date after they received an estimate from the collision center. It was completely fixed and done. The car was completely done after two weeks from the original first date that was supposedly be done. I lost a couple of items from the car which they didn't claim it was their faults. read more

My car has been there for almost two months and I can not get a straight answer on when it will be done or why it is taking so long. They are either incompetent, liars, or both. Just picked up my Prius after a $1,100 insurance-covered repair. Great job! Two years ago we had a $9,200 repair to the front-end and back (smashed from behind and pushed into the car in front). Also super service and work. You absolutely could not tell the car had been in a wreck. Very poor experience with Gatorland Collision Center after Hurricane Irma. My car was towed there on 9-14-17 for flood damage. Minimal water entered the vehicle. Aprroximately 4-6 inches. This is a Geico ARX facility so repairs should be quick and well organized. Tuesday 9-19-17 I get a call from Gatorland saying they haven't received a claim number or initial damage estimate from the adjuster and they needed that to proceed. Im getting worried that the vehicle is sitting there getting moldy and increasing the damages. Thursday 9-21-17 I call again and they say they still have not received paperwork from Geico and need to speak with my adjuster. So I call Geico to see what is going on and they claim to have sent over all necessary paper work on 9-19-17. The following Monday 9-25-17 my adjuster goes to Gatorland to ensure they are proceeding with the claim. Wednesday 9-27-17 I get a call from my adjuster saying that Gatorland Collision recommends the car be totaled based on its visual appearance. After the car has been sitting wet for almost two weeks! He tells them they need to pull the seats and itemize all the damages. So now Friday 9-29-17 I get a call from a different adjuster and he tells me he recommends the car be totaled and that it is full of mold. That many of the electronics are damaged. The collision center told him the water was up to the seats and was in the trunk. Which is a lie. And that it will be too much money to proceed with repairs. I feel that my car being totaled is in large part due to Gatorland Collisions negligence. read more

I just sold my car, and the people inspecting it for damage said whoever painted the passenger side rear door and bumper did an excellent job on one of the most difficult colors (pearl white). So I guess they did a pretty good job. It was expensive as hell though. Gotta get that insurance money. read more
