A week after we got the car my husband who before retiring was a mechanic felt something off with the brakes, called Oscar and they fixed them right away, how many used car dealerships stand behind their word like that?! As if that wasn't enough, when I had some engine problems later on, Steve took the vehicle back, gave me a loaner truck, and proceeded to put a significant amount of work into my truck to get it back into tip-top shape. He never charged me a cent. Regardless of whether that was common business practice, or he just felt like being good to me, I am forever grateful! Seriously, when these two guys tell you when you first walk into their dealership that they're going to take care of you, they back those words up with action. CarMax and AutoNation made the same best offer. CarMax was closer, so I took the car to them. Kept expecting something to go wrong, like finding some reason to lower the offer. It didn't happen - what I was offered online is exactly the amount I got. It was fast, it was easy, and it was such a better experience than trying to sell the car myself. Oddly, the appraiser marked "shift problems" on the evaluation; I think he just wasn't used to continuously variable transmissions. And it wasn't used against me, so no harm, no foul. Nosie is clearly coming from this part even when parked and someone is pressing on the gas. Nope it's just a normal noise of the differential according to this "service department". Something that doesn't even move in park. How is it making noise, magic I guess. Plus the sound teleported a yard according to them. I mean guys come on i can easy physically get under the truck and listen for myself. Sound is clear as day coming from tank not the differential. Unless im able to magically hear what should be coming in my left ear through my right ear. Get closer to tank can hear clearer, get closer to dif, it's clearly not making the noise. Yet they lie and told me they took a stethoscope to it. If they took a stethoscope to it then they should get a new head mechanic cause he doesnt know what a fuel tank or differential looks like. Anyway if you want to waste 5 days of your time go ahead and do business with the barbie race and ride mechanics. Guess they stay in business due to incompetent college kids they can pull the wool over.

I was interested in an Infiniti G37x that they had available on their lot. I went in last Friday…read more(8/21) and was greeted by Cliff. He was very pleasant to talk with. After the test drive, I was still interested in the car but they had not done an inspection, and the warranty included in the price of the vehicle was not extensive enough for me to feel comfortable purchasing it without one. Cliff was very gracious and allowed me to have my preferred mechanic pick up and inspect the car on Monday (8/24). The inspection found a few issues and some potential issues. The immediate retail cost for me to service the vehicle "needs" was estimated at $870; with a follow on cost for new tires depending on selection, but certainly no less than $400. With this in mind we negotiated to have Antera service only the "needs" and I would pay their full asking price (which would leave me to purchase tires at some point in the future). Regrettably the manager didn't agree with these terms, and did not offer a counter, so we parted on good terms but without a deal. Today (8/28), I was contacted by Cliff (very cordially) and was told the manager had agreed to fix one of the two "needs" at the full asking price. Unfortunately I had purchased a very similar car from another dealership two days ago (8/26). If not, I would have considered this counter... ... would seem to me a missed opportunity given the delay in proposing a counter; otherwise all other elements to a car buying process were fine.
