They also offer installation on dashcams you provide. I decided to go with the brand they offered because I figured they weren't going to offer and/or stand behind a junk one (fingers crossed). Plus I had no clue what to look for in one myself. I set up an appointment for the following week to have it installed. He gave me an estimated timeline on how long installation would take since I was leaving my vehicle there, and he met that estimated timeline. The dashcam has both front and rear cameras and they hid the wires/cables well. So far, I'm very pleased with the dashcam and the features it includes. I will definitely use North County Mobile Electronics again in the future if I need anything else installed and will recommend them to others without hesitation.

Michael assured me that if I ever had any issues or needed assistance after the installation, I could simply reach out to him and he would help. That gave me confidence in doing business with him. On April 15, I purchased the stereo and paid approximately $400-$470 for the unit and installation. Michael told me he had everything needed to complete the installation that same day. After about an hour to an hour and a half, he informed me that he did not have the trim piece (the border that surrounds the screen). He said he could order it for an additional $40. Since I didn't want my new stereo left unfinished, I paid the extra $40 with the understanding that he would contact me as soon as the part arrived. Unfortunately, that never happened. Over the following months, both my boyfriend and I repeatedly reached out by phone and message to ask about the missing trim piece. I have a history of phone calls and messages showing my repeated attempts to contact Michael and get this resolved. Each time, he would tell me he would "update me when it arrived" or "give me a call," but he never followed through. At times, it genuinely felt like I was being given excuse after excuse instead of seeing any real effort to resolve the issue. Not only was I still waiting on the trim piece I had already paid for, but after the installation, I also noticed that a wire had come loose underneath my driver's footwell. This was never an issue before the stereo was installed. I informed Michael and he gave me a date to come in. I was already on my way to his store when I texted him I was almost there. Only then did he respond, saying that "something snapped" in his back and that he couldn't make it. I completely understand that emergencies happen. However, if he knew he couldn't make the appointment, I would have appreciated a phone call or text as soon as possible instead of waiting until I had already started driving there. That lack of communication was extremely frustrating and showed little regard for my time. I strongly believe that if you make a promise to a customer, you should keep it. Reliability and communication are essential. When customers spend hundreds of dollars, they deserve honesty and follow-through. After months of trying to get this resolved, Michael finally gave me another date to come into his car stereo store. I arrived before our scheduled appointment, only to call and find out he was running late. I waited approximately 15-25 minutes past our agreed time before he arrived. Once he began working on my vehicle, about 20 minutes later he informed me that he had accidentally broken one of the plastic clips inside my dashboard. He told me he would have to order another replacement piece and, once again, assured me that he would let me know when it arrived. Just like before, I never heard from him. As you can see in the photo attached to this review, the missing trim piece is very noticeable. This isn't a minor cosmetic detail--it is an unfinished installation that I paid an additional $40 for and still have not received months later. I gave Michael multiple opportunities to make this right. Every time I reached out, I patiently waited a week, two weeks, and sometimes even an entire month hoping he would follow through with a call, text, or even a simple update. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly initiate contact while receiving false promises. My car is still missing the trim piece that I paid for, I still have concerns regarding the loose wire from the installation, and I have spent months trying to resolve a simple issue. What disappoints are the repeated promises that were never honored and the lack of communication after payment had already been made. Based on my experience, I don't recommend doing business with Michael. I sincerely hope he improves his customer service, communication, and follow-through so future customers don't have the same experience I did.

After sending an inquiry about purchasing and installation of a dash cam, one of the first businesses that reached out to me was DV Audio and Customs. Besides DV Audio, several other businesses contacted me and I immediately decided on DV Audio because of the professionalism and thoroughness of Dennis and Paola. They answered several questions I posed to them and although I probably could have shopped around for a better deal, I decided to have DV Audio take care of my dash cam need solely based on the professionalism and customer service, but besides those much clamored for qualities, I got even more once the job was completed. DV Audio is located in Escondido specifically within a small business park where other service type businesses are located. I don't remember if there were other tenants, but as soon as you turn into Wineridge, you'll turn right into the first driveway and you'll see the DV Audio signage. The exact address for DV Audio is 2080 Wineridge Suite D. The shop can be found by taking 15 North or 15 South exiting off of Valley Parkway and heading west. There are two parts of Escondido where car dealers are located, which is the east side and west side of Escondido. DV Audio is located close to the west side of car dealers. I received great customer service from Paola from start to finish for my dash cam project. Prior to setting up an appointment with DV Audio to have them install a dash cam, I stopped by their shop to ask them questions. The primary thing I wanted to ask them was whether they price match because at the time, Amazon Prime Days were going on. My intent was to buy a dash cam on Amazon and then have DV Audio install it. When I asked about price matching, Paola informed me that they do price match on a specific Red Tiger dash cam, but not on the higher end Red Tiger dash cam. She also informed me that it would be better if I purchased the dash cam from her because then it would be under warranty, which was great information to have. Another reason to have work done by DV Audio is that their business is military veteran friendly and they do military discounts for Army Veterans like me. If you pay cash for the work they do, there is a cash discount and who doesn't like savings. Besides all of these positives, they are also efficient and respect people's time. I dropped off my car at my appointment time of 9:30am and I was notified that they were done at 10:44am. When their technician was installing my dash cam, they found rust build up on the inside side wall of my dash, which I would have never found if not for their technician letting me know. This information was invaluable because I'm going to have the car dealer check it out. Lastly, Paolo provided more quality customer service after the work was completed by spending time with me going over the features of the dash cam. If you're ever in the market for a dash cam and installation of that dash cam, before you purchase, I highly recommend you contact or visit DV Audio and Customs to purchase the dash cam and have them do the installation. Customer service, expediency, and thoroughness from start to finish is why they should be the only shop you visit for dash cam service. I also noticed vintage cars in their shop, so if you own vintage cars, you might want to check what type of service they do for vintage cars.

Being confronted, questioned, and told to leave a handicap parking space was humiliating and completely unacceptable. People with disabilities deserve dignity and respect--not judgment because they don't "look disabled enough" to someone else. This experience showed me a complete lack of compassion and respect for people who need accessible accommodations. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend this business.
