Was told over the phone that they do the job I wanted but must come in to get a full quote. Went there on a Friday, long drive btw, and was told by Nick that he would email me the quote. But not till after Monday coz he would be out of office. A week later I called to check on that quote, he says his employee would follow it up end of day. 2 days later I called this fool Nick. Doesnt answer his phone. End of day, no return call. No quote. Imagine if you had a problem with their repairs, good luck getting helped. Take your hard earned money else where. My car went through a bad situation, and I want to share my great experience with Spectrum Collision. My new BMW 4 series got blasted in a sandstorm in Palm Springs-not a good start for a new car owner! The folks at Irvine BMW referred me to Spectrum Collision. I met with Johnny and he thoroughly inspected the vehicle, at which point he informed me that literally the entire car had to be repainted. Furthermore, all the lights, moldings, door handles and trim have to be removed, and then replaced. Front windshield took a huge beating and had to be replaced along with all the side windows. I thought, " this is crazy!" How can it look like new after this kind of dismantling? Amazingly, Spectrum Collision made it look as good as it did, on the day I drove it off the lot! The black paint matched the original and looks amazing! All I did was sign a few forms and Johnny coordinated the rest. He had numerous dialogues with my insurance company, sent updates along with pictures and kept me informed about the entire process. He followed through, answering all my questions and requests. In the end, he provided excellent customer service. As I drove off, I felt very satisfied with the service, and results! I'm confident that if I have any further concerns, Johnny will be happy to accommodate me. read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible experience getting our Tesla Model X body fixed by RJ Ramos and his technician. We had a prior repair in March, which took more than three month to get fixed. Been burnt once, thought we learned our lesson. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! We had a minor rear bumper damage in August. It was a not a big deal. A mobile body repair guy offered to fix it for $750. We didn't take it, knowing the defaulting party's insurance company will pay for every penny of it. Continued to drive it for about a month, nothing serious damaged to electronics and safety sensor. Waited till September 5 when we got other insurance co. acknowledged full responsibility, to take the car the Spectrum Collision to get an estimate. Did the inspection, was told to wait 2 to 3 weeks when got the parts. Below is our communication log with R.J. "9/23, you called me and informed me the parts were arrived in your place. 9/25, I dropped off my car in your company and rented a car from Enterprise. I was informed if there was further damage occurred, you would notice me. 10/9, You called me and told me there was more damage than your previous inspection and need to take another week to get the new parts back and 2 week to finish the repairing. It took you 14 days ( 9/25-10/9) to notice there was more damages in my car ???!!! 10/14, I got a email from you that the parts were received. so I called you that day and was told it could take about 2 weeks to finish the job. 10/28, today, I called you and was told you need 2-3 more weeks to finish the job. it has took another 14 days ( 10/14-10/28) for your repairing. now you need 2-3 more weeks???" The price tag amounted to more than $10,000. Even though we are not paying for the repairs. Ultimately we have to pay more to insurance co in higher premiums. On top of that, the delay due to the shop's incompetence cause us loss of productivity of not being able to use the car. We are really concerned. And I hope that if you consumers think twice before you turn your car to Spectrum Collision for repairs. We have a friend who also owns a Tesla, and warned us about his horrible experience dealing with Spectrum. So this is a not an isolated delay, It is a repeated pattern on Spectrum's part to intentionally mislead and mismanage the repairs. Definitely NOT an acceptable business practice. Bottom line, if you own a Tesla (or other vehicle) and have a choice, please avoid Spectrum Collision at all cost. I have demanded its Shop manager Nicholas for a satisfactory solution within 24 hours before I write this review. I think the odd is slim. But I could be wrong! read more

Referred by Irvine BMW. Took 6 to 8 weeks to fix my car. Initial estimate of $4500. Received a supplement for over 3,000 a week later. Another week goes by and I get another supplement for thousands. Then another....ended up being around 17,500. From an initial estimate of $4500 ended up being 17,500. Once they dissembled my car I couldn't take it to another shop and they kept having me sign off on all the additional supplements. I posted a photo of my vehicle after the crash as you can see. 17500!? I got other quotes from other body shops and they said maximum $5,000. Don't recommend! read more

October 23rd, my BMW X1 got rear ended on the 55 freeway. Right off I knew I was not just going to take my car anywhere. Spectrum Collision is a certified BMW Collision Center and this place is highly recommended by a friend who's had his car repaired here. I had the towing company take me and my car to this place. It's understandable that getting into an accident and having to deal with insurance and repairs and all the not so fun stuff can be really stressful and frustrating and annoying and inconvenient all rolled into one. This place does what they can to lessen all that, if not take it all away. For those who are saying that this place is a rip off and they are just trying to make money, well, hello? What business does not try to make money? Isn't that why businesses exist? So they can make money???!!! And this place is a certified body shop that repairs and fixes high end luxury cars. Do you want original parts and quality work on your vehicle? Then there's a price you gotta pay. Really, you get what you pay for. Don't expect to be driving an expensive car and pay cheap on repairs. Go somewhere else if you're not looking into spending the money to get quality work done on your car. Really simple. My experience at this place was nothing less than awesome. I was the only one putting all the stress and anxiety which I'd like to think is normal. But Johnny took care of everything for me. I did not have to worry about anything. He was constantly updating me on the status of my car repair. He gave me all the information I needed and explained everything I had to sign prior to repairs being made. I don't know a lot about cars and repairs and parts and stuff but Johnny answered all my questions and provided me with all the details so that I don't have any more question marks in my head. I had a great experience with Gary at Spectrum Collision. I chose Spectrum Collision because they are Porsche Collision certified. I foolishly scratched up my car at the car wash while vacuuming. Be careful with the vacuum hose, they are dirty and have sharp edges! Scratched up the side trim, belt molding, and inside of the side mirror along the passenger side door. I sent him pics of the damages on a Saturday morning and he responded promptly to my messages and his quote seemed fair and reasonable. He ordered the necessary parts which arrived a couple of days later and set up the appointment the following Monday. Repairs will done in one day. Overall a smooth and hassle free experience. Highly recommend Spectrum Collision for any body shop repairs. read more

They make up stuff and lie to you i took my car in for a repair and instead of fixing it they started blaming me for damages and asked for more money. If you have a small ding they might be able to do a okay job but anything more than a ding they will ruin your car and make it sound like its your fault or it just magically happened. So my bmw was rear ended and i wanted to take it to a bmw certified shop and found spectrum collision. I've never been in an accident so i didn't really know how all the insurance stuff works (their insurance, not mine) and just called spectrum since there aren't a ton of bmw certified places around. My guy Johnny was able to help me out from start to finish - getting my rental car squared away, keeping in constant communication with me about where we were on progress, he even managed to get the parts hooked up as i would've had to pay out of pocket since the insurance was being stingy with new vs used parts. It took a little bit longer than i would have hoped but he was straight up about everything (delays with the aforementioned parts) and was even able to get my car dropped of at my house an hour away after we got stuck in all this coronavirus/quarantine business. 11/10 would recommend, they did an amazing job, outstanding customer service and my car looks as good as new. read more

This shop does a good job and although there were some issues with the initial repair, whether related or unrelated to the actual body work (I can't say with certainty), they took care of the issues and actually went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. They went out of their way and even delivered the car to my place of work so that I didn't have to arrange alternative form of transportation during these "social distancing" times. But the service and repair work that I recently received was so outstanding that I felt compelled. 6 months after picking up my new Tesla S, I was in an accident and wrecked the entire front end. The car couldn't be driven and suffered extensive damage. There aren't too many shops around that deal with structural damage on a Tesla, so I was glad I found Spectrum which is not too far from where I live. They did a great job getting my car fixed. The pain job is flawless and the car drives like new. The insurance and money issues were seamless. More impressively, the follow up and consistent contact with my project manager RJ Ramos via email and phone calls was above and beyond the call of duty. Unequivocally the best auto body repair establishment in the US in my opinion. I have had 2 of my personal cars repaired there (1 is currently with them), and have referred 2 family members and one coworker. I am a gearhead/car afficianado/detailing hobbyist to the max, and Spectrum Collision is the only body shop in the country i would trust. Their paintwork is absolutely exceptional; I have my own paint meter and have used it to evaluate their repairs and could not tell a remotely material difference between their work and the OEM paint. They deliver the car better than showroom new (no orange peel, no swirl marks, no buffer trails, etc....). Johnny Maldjian is responsive, friendly, informative, and has always taken exceptional care of me and my family/coworkers. He is the absolute best! Highly recommend ! read more
