To work on my hearing aid as an established customer, they required I pay $54 up front. The work they performed was to clean and replace the wire from the body of the hearing aid to the end that goes into the ear. They charged me $185 for that work. So it cost me $239. They don't apply the upfront fee to the total bill. I could have had this done at AudioNova for under $100. I would not recommend North Houston Hearing Solutions to anyone. You would be better off at AudioNova or Costco.

The pain medication they prescribed was not in stock for two days during days 5 and 6 post-op, arguably the beginning of the most painful days. I broke into tears with the answering service because the staff never answers and did not respond back to me, as soon as I started crying, they hung up on me. Imagine cutting out parts of a person and hanging up on them because they are crying in pain. So here I am, day 2 in agony with a prescription that the pharmacy can't fulfill cuz they're out of stock and can't transfer because it's level 2. Absolutely uncaring, heartless people.

1/8/2026: I have been a patient of Dr. McCutcheon's since 2021. Being a specialist, I don't see him…read moreoften, but I was pleased to feel welcomed back yesterday at my appointment. Obviously, he is a busy doctor (and I would never expect him to remember me, my personal situation, etc after not seeing him for 3 years), but he must have reviewed my file before entering the exam room. He walked in recapping my visit from 3 years ago. I had forgotten much of what was discussed the previous visit, so it was helpful for me to hear it again. I was visibly nervous. I knew my sinuses were going to be examined since I had been battling a terrible infection for over a month. I was not looking forward to those orifices being poked due to sensitivity. Dr. M was very gentle and explained everything in good detail. I had a nose scope done during my visit. The procedure does not hurt, it is just weird having something go up your nose. I was anxious and hesitant. Dr. M stopped several times to let me take a breath and get comfortable again. That was so helpful. I feel like he really cares about his patients. To be fair, I am a nervous Nelly. The anticipation of the exam is always worse than the actual exam. However, I appreciate Dr. M not getting impatient with me. That would have only made it worse. For me, trust is earned through patience shown and delicately handling my situation. I am going back for a sinus x-ray today. They do them in house which is nice because the location of his office is very convenient. They have a great parking garage too. I went into Dr…read moreMcCutcheon's office with the concern that I may need to have my tonsils removed due to getting strep multiple times every year. He swabbed me for mono and they insisted that the deductible would be $800 to send it to the lab....that my insurance covers 100% of. I refused to have the swab sent into the labs and one of the staff members had an attitude with me because it was almost like I "wasted" their time. On top of that, a camera was used on my nose and I was charged an additional $200 without being notified of the extra cost which they filed as a surgery under my insurance. Dr McCutcheon only speaks in medical terms that only another doctor would understand and anytime you ask what is going on, I felt like I was being treated like a kid. After years of pain and strep, I still have no answers. I DO NOT recommend this doctor unless you have no problem spilling out what could have been an extra $1000 dollars on top of my co-pay. Totally feel ripped off.
