Breathe…read more After a few bouts of pneumonia and allergy problems, I was referred to find an ENT. Oh and a clogged ear. Did a Google search and read a bunch of reviews and chose Dr Kaplan. WIN. Made an appt and got in fairly easy. The office is in an older style building but very nice. The front staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend new patient fill out the forms online. Saves major time. Went in and Dr Kaplan worked his magic and cleaned out my ear and prescribed some meds. He asked me if I had allergy issues and said my nasal passages was blocked. He suggested a CT scan of the cranial something to see if I was a good candidate for balloon sinuplasty. He sent in a tech to help me with the insurance. Mine covers the $100 copay if I call for authorization. Apparently they did this quite often. After the CT, he showed me the blockage and we scheduled the procedure. The procedure was done a week later and it was magical. I could breathe better and sleep better. The only payment was $35 co-pay and then a $100 co-pay for the anesthesiologists. There was 2 after care sessions and I was good to go. Dr Kaplan is very professional and courteous. He gave me his cell number and responded promptly by text and call with answers. I appreciated that a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After I saw him, I discovered that he is very well known and has done TV appearances. Wowza. Would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a professional, knowledgeable and caring ENT.

First time here, I didn't have any issues. The doctor gave me a medication. It kind of fixed the problem but I think the symptoms went away on its own. Other than a shocking side effects that almost sent me to the emergency room, I was back to normal. My second time here was to get an allergy test before they can formulate the serum for my allergy shot. Ok. This seems pretty simple. I followed the instructions to prepare my test. I didn't have to wait. The staff poked me a few times (about 82 times) and generated a report. Then, the doctor came in to explain the results and the next step. There were two options, daily drop under the tongue or weekly shots. I thought it was bothersome and expensive for daily dose, nearly $400 for 3 months. He said weekly shots are about the same price. Treatments would last 3 years or longer. I told him I can't do it now because I have some major events I need to attend. He said it would take time to formulate the serum anyway. I was happy that test was done with no side effects. But I am in pain for my wallet. Upon check out, I almost fall to the floor. They charged over $600, including copay for the test. I didn't get any warning. Ugh. I'm so upset and not going back again. I can't afford to get the shots, not even one drop. Tomorrow is the first, the rent needs to be paid. Update: a day later, I called my insurance company and asked them if this provider sent in my procedure for approval. The response was shocking. Nope. So, I removed another star.

They did the allergy pricks to see what I was allergic to. Many things. Everyone in the office were great I enjoyed coming. I keep coming during the times they are closed. I called my daughter and told her I keep missing the times. She laughed and said since I get up at 5 every morning I need to get out early and come. Well, I guess I will if I want copies of my test.

I do recommend scheduling any and all appointments early in the day to prevent being there longer than needed as they get pretty busy later on in the day. They do full allergy testing here along with asthma treatment and allergy shots. My daughter has unfortunately had all of them and continues receiving her allergy shot every 2-3 weeks along with check ups every 6 months. The only thing that is annoying and inconvenient are the allergy shot hours; they aren't the same hours that the practice is open. See picture for clarification. Dr.Chen and Dr.Chou are the best doctors there! They listen and do not rush questions. Lorraine, who works in the front office, is always very helpful as well. If for some reason your insurance provider does not cover medication that was prescribed from SWAA, they are more than happy to find other solutions or a lower costing medication. There are also many other SWAA locations in the Houston area. I've been to the Pearland location once and my daughter received excellent care there as well.

I've had botox at lots of other places over the years and they all seem to just follow the script. It goes here, here and here and send you on your way. Dr. Nguyen is more like an artist. She studies your face and what would be specific to your needs. She has an in depth knowledge of the anatomy of the face, not just the skin, but the underlying muscles and structures. I have complete confidence that I'm not going to walk out looking like a clown. I've had mulitiple Ellacor treatments as well and because of her, I am always getting comments on how young I look for my age. Life-Changing Treatment for Severe Melasma!…read more I cannot thank Dr. Nguyen enough for what she has done for my skin! Over the past 23 years, I have seen nine different dermatologists and spent countless dollars on painful chemical peels, oral and topical medications, yet nothing worked for my severe melasma. I had nearly given up hope until a friend insisted I see Dr. Nguyen, reassuring me that she specializes in African-American and Asian skin and would absolutely be able to help me. From the moment I walked into her office, I knew I had made the right decision. Dr. Nguyen is thorough, passionate, and genuinely invested in her patients. She took the time to sit down with me one-on-one, carefully assessing my skin and explaining that treating my melasma would be a gradual process, not a quick fix, so we could find the best long-term solution for my skin type. To my surprise, I saw instant results! I could hardly believe it. My skin continued to improve at a pace I never thought possible. Now, for the first time in decades, I no longer have to rely on makeup to cover my melasma. I'm completely makeup-free and confident in my natural skin. Family, friends, and even strangers have noticed and compliment me all the time! If you are struggling with melasma or any other skin concerns, Dr. Nguyen is the expert you need to see. Her knowledge, dedication, and approach to treatment have truly changed my life. I have attached before-and-after photos to show just how incredible the transformation has been.
