We were in a hurry and this place was the fastest exam I could find for her. I went in completely blind and honestly thought I was going to another place. The staff was nice, the Doctor seemed to know what he was doing. We got her exam all done and then on to the designer frame hustle. Ended up being $305 for a pair of glasses and the exam. Billed insurance a good bit more. It is what it is I guess. I was in a hurry. She likes the glasses. I am just too used to Costco I guess. I could have gotten two Gucci frames for that amount. But one day I saw an informative video about special lenses for people like me on the Collierville Vision Center social media page. I had no idea lenses for headaches existed! Dr. Walley was so kind and helpful and let me try several trial lenses to find which ones worked best for me. After I decided on which lenses I liked most, I got to pick whatever frames I wanted, and here I am now wearing the most incredible pair of glasses I've ever had. These lenses have been life-changing for me. Unlike regular sunglasses, I can wear these inside and at night without things being too dark. In fact, I forget I'm wearing them! My vision was better than 20/20 in one eye but a little less in the other so the adventure began. They take walk-ins and I've done that when I had a screw loose (no jokes) or something for a tech to handle but otherwise I always make an appointment. BTW our glasses always get readjusted with no problem, no hassle. The exception is when we've gone to pick up glasses. Yes, #1 daughter, #1 son and my sweetheart have all been examined here. The girls have pretty funky vision but Matt & I are readers only. We have made many trips here and there's always been a satisfactory outcome, so this is good! Their services range from comprehensive eye care to fitting you with prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses with personalized and attentive service. They've got a huge selection of styles and a lot of top brands, and they've always done a great job with #1 daughters contacts. My sweetheart got some GORGEOUS sunglasses on our last visit, I'll post a pic Bottom line: I have been generally satisfied with the service in the past, I have been going here for years and have never had any problems. I jump in the car and drive to Walmart to pick them up. Young man sitting there looking at his cell phone informs me there is no licensed optici available so I will need to come back in the morning. I have a JOB!! I cannot come back in the morning. I asked for suggestions. His response was, " Well I guess you will have to come back on the weekend!" Today is Monday. He says there is no one there after 5 that can dispense my glasses. I have been going here, to this Walmart for years. Never again!! If the optician leaves at 5, you should close it down and don't send me a text that says you are open until 7 pm!! Self checkout, bankers hours?? I can't deal with it anymore!!

Dr. Walley is a personable and caring doctor that recommends what he feels is best for you as an individual, which is refreshing. He is a teaching doctor so ask questions and absorb. The service was okay, but my biggest complaint for both locations that I visited was that they don't have a large selection of glasses to choose from.
