I was told they price match 800 Contacts--and maybe they do--but if they forget to apply the price…read morematch, they won't issue a refund, even when it's their mistake. Instead, they only offer store credit. They also try to justify higher pricing by pointing to promotions like "one or two months free" or rebates, claiming it's a better deal than 800 Contacts. In my view, either you price match or you don't. There's also a lot of pressure to buy contacts on the spot. The pricing they offer is presented as a "same-day only" deal and typically requires purchasing a full year's supply upfront. My advice: ask them to print your prescription and consider buying your contacts elsewhere. That way, you're not locked into purchasing a year's supply all at once and can shop around for the best price. Also, note that Dr. Cindy M is no longer with this practice.

After reading several strong reviews on Yelp, I visited the KEC website and was pleased to see that…read moremy insurance was listed as one of only three accepted plans. I then called to schedule a prescription consultation. Before offering an appointment time, the representative asked whether I had insurance coverage. I confirmed that I do and that it is Davis Vision. The representative responded that they do not accept Davis Vision. I pointed out that Davis Vision is listed on KEC's website as an accepted provider, at which point the representative replied, "Are you a website designer?"--a dismissive and unprofessional remark. While I have a good sense of humor, the interaction ultimately wasted my time and left me questioning the reliability of both the information on KEC's website and the Yelp reviews that led me there.
