So I know that Claire's target demographic is like little girls maybe 4 to 12 years old, but I am unashamed to say I love Claire's. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love being festive. In Easters past I have worn a headband with a stuffed bunny on it that looks like it's diving into my head and pulling out a carrot. And pretty much for the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas I don different Yuletide headwear everyday. I also like to wear festive jewelery. Claire's is a great place to get these types of accessories. I usually use them as a base, and I add more things to them to make them my own, but sometimes I will wear them as is.
You know me though, I rarely pay regular price for anything, so I buy post-holiday and have all year to jazz them up. After the holiday their festive items are marked down to either 75% off or a flat rate of $2-$5. I've gotten so many, Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and Halloween items from Claire's.
Claire's has cute regular (non-holiday themed) hair accessories too. They also have neat hairstyling tools (like knick knacks to help you make a French braid, or a fishtail braid, or a bouffant, lol).
They sell really cute accessories that I think you can pull of at any age, haha. They also have a big selection of phone accessories, like a wall full of cellphone cases, but unfortunately for me, they are all for iPhones and I'm an Android girl forever! Oh well, you can't win 'em all.
Several Claire's in Ottawa have closed their doors (Claire's Carlingwood and Claire's Rideau Centre RIP), but this one in the Bayshore Shopping Centre lives on, and for that I rejoice. You'll see me there after every holiday ;) read more
